Rangers will definitely need another winger after Barrie McKay's exit as they only have one at the minute in Candeias. Dalcio isn't ready yet!

Mackay should have been signed on a new contract but maybe he wanted to leave, but Caixinha choose not to offer him one but who knows.
It's early in the season but having seen Dalcio I am of the opinion that he is no better than Mackay.
Candieas is a bit more aggressive and direct but if I was Caixinha I would try and get Walker if not Cadden from Motherwell to give us more cover.

As much I supported the guy as a ranger, he was too lacklustre, disinterested, name your tag for him but it would always be a negative with a positive. good at beating his man but no final ball. good pace but can't finish. name your cliche

McKay was shit, sorry to say but a couple of flashes of talent doesn't give you a free pass for the season, onwards and upwards I say, obviously dalcio and candieas have lot to prove, but it's their chance, McKay has had his and chose not to take it.

You obviously can spot a player then Andy. McKay will do well in the championship. Hope we have a sell on clause. Copland - comparing McKay with Dalcio? Just splattered all over my lunch! Just wait and see this guy if he gets a run in the team. Will never be anywhere near as good as Barrie McKay. Could never understand the stick he used to get, especially as a winger. Then I thought back to some of the gargoyles in the support who used to vilify ex players like Willie Henderson, Davie Wilson, and even the all time greats such as Cooper and Laudrup. Comes with the territory I suppose

One thing I never understood about the McKay situation, was that as a right footed play ( His strength), why was he always played on the left?, getting past the defender was a waste because he always had to cut back before trying to cross it

Scott dog. wingers in general are played on their opposite side so they can cut in on their stronger foot. Did that never occur to you? It is a globally used tactic!

11 Jul 2017 21:31:26
In general wingers are played in their orthodox position and as a tactic the opposite.

The Seeker

Read my post. I said he was no better than Mackay and I was given him the benefit of the doubt as it's early in the season.
As far as I know Dalcio is a midfielder.
I also said Mackay should have been given a new contract end of story.
Mackay will be another player who will prove himself in The Championship.

Apologies Copland. Misread your post

Let's get the boy walker signed up. And let me dream that Weiss will come in on transfer deadline day.

Apologies accepted👍
