Well said Dave King (Sunday Mail) but the fans he is describing have gone silent on here in recent weeks.

He said: "I differentiate supporters from fans, and in all the statements I issue from the club, I am very careful about when I talk about supporters and when I talk about fans. Supporters are always fans, but fans are not always supporters. So, when I look at the club, I talk about those that are buying season tickets in record numbers every season. I'm talking about the 50,000 supporters that arrived at Ibrox for the first game in the Third Division and gave the record UK crowd.

"There are some fans out there, and all clubs have them, who to me are not actually true supporters and there is a noise level out there which, to me, I should completely ignore. I'm really interested what the real supporters want and what we are doing for the club is for the real supporters.

All supporters are fans but not all fans are supporters. You've got Rangers fans who will criticise the manager after the first game.

And they'll tweet and they'll blog and they'll insult. They'll use language that a supporter would never use about their club. ".

Totally agree BR65

I like how he has been quietly working away on important issues like the merchandise deal and squad funds, while many on here have been slating him for doing nothing.

Well done Mr King. 👏

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Dave king has just proved that. i'm not his biggest fan and i've been outspoken about him in the past. That make me less of a fan/ supporter does it? Where was Dave king when we were making that history of a 50,000 sell out at the first game after demotion?
I for one am pleased about the investment and getting the sd deal sorted out but, you can't call someone a lesser supporter because they form an opinion of him or the shite Manager he hired (warburton) or the deals for shite players that he sanctioned. It's just my opinion and i know i will get some sick for this but, let's not overlook some of the mistakes this board have made.
It really boils my pish to see a rangers chairman being
so publicly outspoken. Conduct yourself with a little bit more class.

Agreed, Yogibear.

Yep, too many of our players had too much to say for themselves last year, and DK seems to be banging a drum unnecessarily in my opinion.
Let's stay relatively quiet and if at Xmas we are still in the hunt for silverware then we can start to be bit more boisterous.
We have done nothing so far to be noisy and sarcastic to other teams, . Even Celtic!
Onwards and upwards (with a bit of humility and dignity)

So what is being said is that it's ok for you to share opinions on here but its not ok for Dave King to share his opinions of the supposed fans who criticise the board, manager and team, at every opportunity?

Double standards me thinks!

Great posts lads. Despite frequent criticism from more than a fair few on here DK has consistently acted in the best interest of the club. At times I believ his personal communication and style could have been better, but there was never any doubt over his intentions or integrity.

He's right. There's too many fans quick to criticize. Even Pedro has got it. After the 5-1 his tactics were getting slaughtered. He had assessed the players and decided some weren't up-to it, while others were given a chance to prove they were.

It has since came to light there was nothing to be gained longer term playing dead wood.

Painful at the time, but obviously not many were trusted to carry his instructions.

Fd, just because the fans want to know what is going on, it's not always practical to tell us. If he said what was going on behind the scenes and what his intentions were it would give Ashley info and let him prepare a counter.

Trust the board to do their job (until it's blatantly obvious that the can't) and support them through good and bad
