Seeing lots of posts wanting rid of Tavernier, understandable after last season. However, I think with a quality defensive midfielder there could allow him to push forward without being exposed defensively.

There is nothing wrong with tav the main problem with the team is basic shaping and covering when a man moves out another should slot in when it is on the flank everyone should move one position over but that was beyond Warburtons thinking the fact he refused to compromise on shape said it all but players suffered because of him

You're being far too kind to the guy. When he's good he's great and when he's bad, he's awful. Nothing to do with back up, he blows hot and cold all day long. We can't afford awful and I'm talking about missed tackles, passes directly to an opponent as if he's wearing a Rangers shirt and crosses almost landing out of the stadium.

The guys absolutely woeful stop tryna make excuses for him he had one good not even full season in the Scottish championship and couldn't make the cut in the big boy league bottom line is he is not Rangers calibre and never will be. Guy couldn't keep wains out a close!
