Overreaction by many on here as usual after yesterday's result.

Last time around we took Celtic by surprise - everyone expected we'd lose 7-0

This time we went into the match after a reasonable run and Celtic were well prepared. Given the difference in class the result was not unexpected but we had chances to at least level the score.

Our defence was reasonably solid for once but we have a lack of creativity and finishing.

Forget the doom and gloom, we are is a better place than 3 months ago and Pedro will know what we need

Next season our target should be 2nd (within 8 points) and a cup win.

3 or 4 signings plus the injured players back at full fitness and we will be ok.

Reasonable way to look at it BR65. 👍

We were second best everywhere but the way we gave the ball away so easily put ourselves under tremendous pressure needlessly was unacceptable. Better team won fair play to them.

Most of us on here can accept that Celtic are better just now. Most of us could accept a defeat in the right manner, but yesterday was shocking! A totally inexcusable showing. No fight, desire or passion.

I honestly think we need more than 3 or 4 signings just about the whole team are not up to it yesterday and our league position says it all

bawbag2017, we can't afford a whole new team but look across the city 3-4 signings and they have transformed from the team we outplayed last season to a team that's hard to recognise.

its amazing the difference a few good players can make on the rest of the team

i think we over estimate how many players we will have to bring in even when talking about the players we want out. those who 100% must go are kiernan. halliday, o'halloran, forrester, waghorn.

players out depending on bids for mckay, garner. or out on a loan deal with option to buy instead of accepting a very low transfer fee!

players definetly going; sendaros, toral, hyndman.
out of all those players 2 are usually in starting 11. toral and hyndman and 2 more mckay and waghorn in and out starting 11!

so if all these players go we do need to add to the squad but in terms of strengthening the squad and buying quality then a top class ch to partner wilson with bates and hill back up.

remember hill's contract will be renegotiated and i think for money he will be on then he could for a job for 1 more season or we bring in a free for around same wages, bates will get game time but still developing.

a top class attacking winger. i believe we do have 2 within our club that will hold their own nxt season in beerman lw and atayaki rw along with rossiter krancjar holt windass crooks we could have a decent midfield.

a £2-3m attacker £20-25k a week.
if king gives caixinha between £5-7m then £1.5-2m on a ch. £2m attmid.
£2-3m on a striker.

these players could poss demand a wage of anything between £15-25k a week.
other transfers brought in would be end of contracts say 2-3 and loans hopefully not too young from top teams with large squads needing to give fringe players game time with rangers picking up a percentage of wage.
all in all 7-9 players in and around poss 11-14 out!

already heard about the lad paulinho from a 2nd division Portuguese outfit and ok from what i've heard sounds promising but i hope to see players arriving that ply their trade in an established lge. i know there will be some hidden gems.

at end of day. if caixinha has a decent budget he will not just be going for 2nd division players or end of contracts!
it all depends on king and budget

I can assure you that Pedro won't be getting anymore than £3 or £4mill at best. Any funds will need to be put up by the current board. King is not going to do it. They need to repay £7mill this year already. So if Pedro gets £3 or £4 its £10 mill payback. let's get real, that money is never going to get repaid and next season more transfer funds will be required. A run in Europa as far as group stage is worth £7mill so that would pay off a lump of the loans but better players want more wages so it never sorts itself out. So someone needs deep pockets and won't expect the loan repaid. Rangers will be closer to Celtic next season finish second but that could be how it is for a few years yet.

Johnnymac, have I missed something on the £7m loan that needs to be repaid this year?

My understanding is that the loans are all soft from current directors/ investors with no fixed repayment date or interest charged?

I thought that the intention was to roll these loans into equity as soon as we are able to issue new shares?

Defence was solid? You having a laugh? The 1st goal a schoolboy team wouldn't lose. Trademark goal against us of long ball up park and ball in the net. How gk never even attempted a save from what was basically a pass into the net was shocking. 2nd goal?

Remember us losing a goal at ibrox few years back because mcgregor came running out his box and the greek guy scored. can't mind his name. That game mcgregor should never have came out. Sunday was different. Total lack of heart from keeper as he could have and should have got to ball before griffiths.
