Hey there guys, my first choice for manager is Nigel Pearson as I think he would do a great job for us. However I doubt he would work under a DOF. Instead, what about Barry Ferguson with Alan Curbishley as DOF. He has been saying recently that he would love a job in an advisory capacity recently on five live instead of a managers job. Kind of mentoring a young manager. He has a wealth of knowledge and wee baz has a 40% win rate with Clyde since 2014. What's your thoughts on these two?

Clyde is a nonentity and a win rate of 40% is pretty pathetic! Read what the Rangers CEO said, Rangers want the new manager to have the 'WOW' factor, it needs to be someone with gravitas, someone that can attract quality young players, a winner, and someone that knows what Rangers is all about! Barry probably only fits in to the latter of these.

He might have the potential to be part of the coaching team and would be a good acquisition at that level. He is also young enough to grow in the job!

As for Nigel Pearson and or Alan Curbishley I don't think that they would even be considered!

40% win rate. That's not much worse than MW's win ratio when he was here! Not to mention he had much more cash to waste. I don't think ferguson is ready for a job that size but, he doesn't deserve some of the stick that people give him. He was one of our most successful captains of all time, only reason he left was PLG.
On another point, I saw the MD's interview where he said he wants a manager with the wow factor. In terms of available manager's at the minute it's hard to look past FDB, and anyone who criticises his time at Inter Milan need to look at what Inter were like during the Mancini reign. They were awful.

Leave it out with the Barry stuff lads! He was a good player but not the brightest and is doing a questionable job at Clyde. Other than being an ex player what makes you think for a second he wouldn't be an epic failure?

Have to say i was glad to hear the WOW factor mentioned.

It means numpties like Davies and Calderwood along with many others are not going to be considered

TOMUSA, what do you think of garry monk as our new head coach, under a DOF? I know that having a chance of getting monk, would be dependent on leeds utd gaining promotion or not! I rate monk very highly. He's the ideal age as he's still only 37 years old but most importantly he's a very good coach! Thoughts?
