Jota having a great game for Brentford tonight I wonder what his contract situation is as he looks good on this showing.

I'm a little surprised we haven't signed anyone yet on a pre-contract there must be a few decent players out there. The loan signings does raise a bit of doubt over the boards backing of Warburton which is a shame as he hadn't had any decent money to spend and had a bit of bad luck with players who may turn out to be good buys being injured.

It's clear the board haven't been impressed with Warburton's transfer dealings and it's hard to blame them. £1.8m for a striker who can't score in Scotland yet Kilmarnock can pick up a guy for free and sell him for £800k in 6 months.

I would say £1.8m is decent money to spend and look what he got for that

If you think we have actually spent 1.8 million on garner your bonkers. He probably has to score 50 goals in a year to get the add ons up to that. More than likely less than a million.

Cee

In your last sentence you have said "more likely" which means you don't know so how can you call anyone bonkers when you said yourself you don't know what was paid and therefor can't prove us wrong?

I think we actually paid £10m for Garner but we get a discount if he doesn't score 50 goals in a season. Probs we'll only pay £1.8m!

More than likely I have no idea what the deal was but I try to put a positive slant on it!

on our loan signings emerson hyndman and jon toral. i would really hope that rangers are already working on a longer term loan deal, for bournemouth playmaker emerson hyndman. instead of the original 6 month loan deal, i hope that we can work something out with bournemouth, to make this an 18 month loan deal! hyndman is exactly what we're needing in our midfield!

he's very direct with his forward passing, he has a killer ball in him, which can split a defence, wide open, he never wastes a ball, never hides and always makes himself available in space, to take the ball! this young man has a big future and is a tremendous, playmaking midfielder! in the 2 games i've seen him play for us, we look much more purposeful in midfield, with much faster, forward passing! would love him permanently but know there's no chance of that!

this brings me on nicely to jon toral. i truly think we have a chance of keeping him permanently, as he's out of contract at arsenal, at the end of the season. he's a very good flair player, with a terrific left peg! he's a goalscoring type attacking midfielder, who also creates chances for himself and others! also good dead ball footballer, with terrific delivery! so these 2 loan players have already made a helluva difference to our central midfield and attacking midfield! imo these 2 players will guarantee, we finish 2nd in the league! so all in all, although there loan deals, they are very good additions and its been very good business for rangers, in january, irrespective if they're loan deals or not! well done mark warburton for securing these 2 very good midfielders, that will make the difference!

if only dk would back you a wee bit more! really hope warbs is still this football clubs manager for next season! he deserves that chance, although i do have my doubts if he will be still here, going by what happened at our recent board meeting! if reports are true, warbs took an absolute grilling from dk!

What was he grilled about?
Must have been the signings he made particularly Barton, Senderos, Kranjcar and possibly Garner.

Good post Supercoop. Too much being read into the board meeting largely due to coverage and spinning by the daily rebel. A purpose of a board meeting is to ask questions and make executives responsible and accountable.
