Rangers banter 47225

Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

How many on this site see us bringing in any more players?
I think the sensible money will be on the fact that we will bring in none. If anything we may lose at least two of our existing pool.
The next debate will be on where the blame lies. Personally, I think that the blame lies firmly with DK, who promised much and has delivered little. MW is a yes man that toes the company line in a desperate effort to save his job.
Although it is an impossible dream we need a player that can control the midfield with his presence and footballing ability. We need a defensive midfielder that protects the back four and we need the manager to take a job anywhere but Ibrox.
I know Santa has been but an old man can but dream.

Wow so many positives there.

I feel like phoning the samaratins after reading your posts!

so basically you hate the chairman, don't rate the manager and the midfield is useless.

We need players but they won't arrive any time soon. We should by now have started to sign a couple of good young out of contract players on pre-contract Agreements but I suspect that won't happen either.

Problem seems to be that the King has no clothes! All those promises of available investment at the start of the season, then promises of new funds in the January transfer market but alas, with just six days to go, no permanent signings, only rumours of players leaving!

Perhaps the growing rumours of discontent are not too far off the mark and the Three Bears and the Far East Investors have grown tired of King's empty promises.

PH, you should rename yourself pipe-dream. So don't blame me if you need to phone the samaritans, Santa is not real and neither are DK's promises.

24 Jan 2017 21:03:47
TomUSA, the only thing I would give dk credit for, presently, is the fact he is not signing futher players, because we are very, very vulnerable and as I have said elsewhere on this site, directors have fiduciary duties.

I found a magical scroll that would make me a billionaire and the king of Scotland. All I needed was a lock of Santa's beard, a tooth from the tooth fairy an icicle from Jack Frosts nose and a positive post from Billyb sadly the latter does not exist.

Good post billyb

24 Jan 2017 22:00:09
Come on billyb, give us something positive to read about!

MW has clearly said that no-one will be leaving in January UNLESS he recruits a replacement for that player. no much ambiguity in that so I cannot see why you choose to put a downer on it as usual.

Now, if at the end of January, one or two players leave and there are no replacements brought in you would be justified in criticising MW or blaming DK as is your want.

As far as I can see, we are on track to finish 2nd which is the best that we could hope for given current circumstances.

I'll say it again, put your solutions on the table instead of promoting the likes of MA and the Easdales

How does saying the chairman hasn't delivered on his promises equate to the poster hating the chairman? What's wrong with saying we need a few better midfielders mean the midfield is useless? What's wrong with also saying he doesn't rate the manager? Your response to the original post is ridiculous.

24 Jan 2017 22:08:15
Bluepete, not bad, but my skin is much thicker than you obviously understand.
Your magical scroll is obviously DK's plan for our future. Santa's beard and the tooth I have, but a positive post from me is unlikely until there are massive changes from our beleaguered chairman.
I believe that we must remove ourselves from the fantasy world that DK has created, but with a bit of realism we maybe have a chance of surviving.

Stewie, the problem is that this ought to be a fans forum and whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion, there are a few on here who have never said anything positive about the clubs current management and board.

Rather than acknowledging the huge step forward in the past years or so (compared with Whyte, Green, Easdale, Ashley) they prefer to share only negative opinions usually with little regard to the reality of our current situation.

24 Jan 2017 22:52:34
BR65, I very much respect your comments, although most are against my negativity. However, your comments on my positivity on MA and the Easdales is crap. I could give you a realistic plan to take us forward, but you would probably think I was too big for my boots.
We may finish second, but we are an apology for the Glasgow Rangers. We have had more lessons, according to our manager, than the lady that past her driving test in her 80's.
You have asked me to comment on my solutions, so without repeating myself, read my post.
p. s. I appreciate touche. Cheers

I think the vast majority of posters are only telling it how they see it. It's more being realistic than being negative. You say about the reality of our situation but we have a far bigger budget than Aberdeen and Hearts yet we are no better than either. People have been saying that we shouldn't expect to challenge Celtic as they have a far bigger budget than we do however they don't seem to think we should be ahead of Aberdeen and Hearts where our budget in far bigger than theirs. MW has had 18 months in charge yet I don't see any signs that we are going to get anywhere near Celtic which has to be the ultimate goal. The defence concedes nearly every game usually the same type of goals, the midfield doesn't create enough and has some very average players who continually play and the number of goals we have scored in the league is embarrassing. It's an sad reflection on the team that our best defender is 38 and our best striker is 37

24 Jan 2017 22:06:34
Billyb, who do you want to replace warburton as the next rangers manager then mate? Remember being realistic and someone we can get!

24 Jan 2017 22:45:51
Agree TOMUSA. We should b signing up some young talent current under our noses in scotland! The likes of falkirk young left back tony gallacher and craig sibbald, stevie mallon (st. mirren), sam nicholson (hearts) etc

25 Jan 2017 09:26:29
Jason Cummings, nicholson, souttar.

A player like grabbon from Bournemouth would be descent.

25 Jan 2017 11:57:51
Im still unsure of Dave king, but I'm willing to wait until Ashley is removed and then make my mind up, as for the other board members, they have been first class, and they still haven't took any wages from the club, as for the gaffer I really like warburton, but time will tell how well he does at ibrox, but I hope he wins us plenty of trophies

25 Jan 2017 15:14:48
Billyb what are these promises that dk made that you keep going on about
