Callum patersons contract is up at the end of the season I personally think we should offer him a contract in January compensation fee of £450,000.

He is the sort of player we should be looking to buy. I'd rather we signed 1 good player than 3 or 4 average ones.

Can't see it personally. Levein on radio tonight stating it would take a 7 figure sum to get him. He will go to the highest bidder. Decent defender but not much better than what we have.

I'm honestly not that keen on callum paterson! If we are looking for another right back i'd most definitely expect us to be looking at a much better full back than paterson!

Reminds me of hutton and 450k comp would be a bargain. With him wilson and wallace plus a solid cb i think we would be sorted for years. Only thing is with money tight i'd prioritise an attacking cm.

Djab that's the thing he doesn't get a say in it his contract is up in the summer and is free to speak to clubs in January we will pay 450,000 compensation and he's a Scottish international at 22 years old it's a bargain.

Dont rate him all that highly, definitely wouldn't spend 450k on him! Saying that good fullbacks are rare these days! People keep saying he's number 1 scotland rightback if so he can keep it warm for young donald love who is twice the fullback!

Talking fullbacks I wouldn't mind seeing shinnie of aberdeen in a gers strip! Good hardworking leftback every bit as good as wallace.

I think Paterson would bring the same problems we have with tav. Gets caught out of position far too often for me. Poor defensively (Tries bicycle kicks in his own 6 yard box under no pressure) . only difference in my opinion is that unlike tav, he scores headers instead of goals from open play with his feet.

I agree with jaws - Patterson has been good at hearts but he would be no better in a rangers shirt than what we have. He has energy but is weak defensively.
We need to concentrate our resources on bringing in quality not numbers.
