The negativity on here is really starting to make it hard to come on these days.
I don't think that everything is rosy but Jesus some people need to step back and see the bigger picture.
"King isn't funding us" - We brought in 11 players and are overhauling EVERYTHING at the club. All this with one hand tied behind our back due to the Ashley debacle (Which is not King's fault) .
"Why did we buy so many squad players? " - The people moaning about this are the same people who moaned about Warburton's tight squad last season. We were woefully undermanned last season and suffered due to it. Tav had to play from April until end of season with an injury.
"Warburton always says we will learn from games" - yeah he defends players and tries to be positive? God forbid. I'm not a huge Warburton fan but I get his purpose.
"Cant Warbs see we need a CB? CDM? AM? ST? " As fans signing a player for Gers is easy but outside of Scotland what high quality player wants to play in Scotland with no GUARANTEE of Europe and no big wage? Senderos was clearly Warbs back up plan only and we had to use it - hasn't worked. No-one could have figured Senderos. Barton and Kranjcar would ALL have issues. Has Garner worked - jury's out IMO.
Are we perfect no. Is Warbs perfect - no!
As fans though we are anything but perfect too.
King has IMO done a good job of steadying a ship that was in dire straits. We however demand more.
We want him to throw all his money in but are ungrateful for what has been done already.
We want Warbs to be able to overhaul the full club, build a great team on a shoestring and be a master tactician - he's not, he doesn't claim to be. There is no-one that could have done better at what we needed and if there is we couldn't afford someone who ticks all those boxes.
We know the media thrive on any negativity whether it be true or false but lap it up anyway and jump on the bandwagon.
People forget we are moving forward! I get it's frustrating we are not at Celtic's level YET (And we are definitely not) but we are progressing.
The club is becoming more stable.
Our squad is a damn sight better than a couple of years ago.
Once we have got rid of Ashley and sort the merchandise. Once we get the chance of Europe things will improve further.
Do I think Warbs will be the man to lead us to glory? No I don't. However I think he is the best man for where we are now. I don't see him being with the club in summer 2018.
In the meantime I will SUPPORT him and everyone in Blue!

Agree Bluegenius, we are in year 2 of 5 year transformation plan. Much progress made and much more remains on and off the park.

Bluegenius, we are all entitled to our opinion, and in mine, you are not viewing our position, as it is. I am not going to try to shoot down your points one by one, but my appraisal is that we were like a dilapidated wall needing a total overhaul. Instead, it was patched up with polyfilla and given a couple of coats of paint.
In saying this, DK misled us, from the day he started the boycott and then with all his false promises. He would have been better telling us the full truth, that will only come out after the upcoming trials.
It is understandable that investment was/ is limited and all that was needed was transparency, instead of false dawns.

23 Nov 2016 14:32:04
Billy I am not saying people are not allowed their opinion. Of course they are. The above is just mine.
I would be interested in seeing how you suggest we would overhaul the club as I believe this is exactly what is happening yet you call it polyfilla?

23 Nov 2016 14:37:35
if some of the fans carry on with these demands on king and warburton they will be off then what is the club going to do then, get in another murray and this time the descent will be rapid, I've never met so many negative people posting as on here, just leave the guys to get on with their jobs and the keyboard managers should stick to watching honey g.

Bluegenius, quite simply, there is not much more we can expect at present. Our club is a very, very poor investment at present and it is only diehards that will put cash into the club. There is far too much uncertainty about the financial stability, just now.
Football, in general, is a poor investment, with Scotland in particular, a difficult place to operate.
My main grump is that DK backed the boycott that crippled an already vulnerable financial situation, that was caused by a group that ripped the arse out of us. DK told of £60m being invested from his family pension fund, but this was a lie. No pension fund trustees, in their right mind, would put 2/ - into Rangers as their is no chance of a return on the investment, at present.
DK and his board have kept our head above water, and to answer your question on the options to DK's actions, there are none. So let us hope for facts at the AGM, although don't hold your breath, as there will be restrictions on just how much can be imparted.
So, we will see what happens. Personally, I think we ought to waken up to the predicament we are in.

23 Nov 2016 16:46:51
Agreed Billy.
I do believe that the financial mess that we were in and the layers of dubious contracts has surprised even King and is at very least bordering on illegal.
As much as I think King did overstate and overpromise I don't think these were out and out lies.
I believe that the financial side is a long drawn out job.
The footballing side as far as I can see was to bring Warbs in (a 3 year plan) to overhaul footballing side. Top to bottom focusing on bringing in value and make it profitable whilst building a whole club footballing ethos which I think they are doing successfully considering the setbacks faced.

I believe everything that can be done is being worked at on and off the park. Until outstanding legal actions are completed imo will be difficult to fully move forward and return to business as usual. We need a sustainable business model that will maximise revenue opportunities from all fronts, which currently obstacles prevent. I have no special particular allegiance to DK but do believe he is a rangers man, has the clubs' interest at heart and has provided leadership where there was none. AGM will be interesting but as billyb says some restrictions will prevent full discussion.

Blue genius

Sorry but Warburton isn't doing the job. The team are poor and the tactics are predictable. He has brought in a lot of players however none have improved much and not 1 player he has brought in would command big money. His signing policy has been poor and he still doesn't know his best 11.

24 Nov 2016 08:14:34
how can you say none have improved the team lol? will we go back to mohsni and daly etc.

24 Nov 2016 09:04:16
Biffo as I have already said I don't think Warbs is the man to bring us glory but you say he is not up to doing a job.
I disagree. He has done the exact job that was needed.

What we needed more than anything was someone who could build a team to win Championship and get established in prem league on a shoestring. Meanwhile overhauling the whole set up from youth to first team and re-establishing a coaching/ scouting network.
I don't believe anyone would have done better the we could have brought in.
Please if you disagree name one?!
However you are partly right I believe. Once that 3 year job is done we will need someone who can then bring the best out of players and use more tactical nous.
To expect any manager to do all of the above and you really are in the Guardiola range and outside our budget.

25 Nov 2016 17:41:26
You say his back up was Senderos. well his plan A was Lescott who's contract has just been mutually ended at AEK. not much of a difference there IMO.
