Just because a few have said they don't enjoy the games doesn't make them any less of a Rangers fan.

Big eck in you certainly know f##k all about the beautiful game macliesh was terrible for football remember big marv getting put up front in Europe. People that follow a team because it wins will only remember trophies but when you live the club and the game you can remember capucho and mladinhavic he had money to burn and he did Murray park was established but no one thought about investing in talented coaches, systems of recruitment and development we just thought it was like Clark Kent jumping in a phone box and coming out as superman the kids needed direction and teaching plus the fact that we just wouldn't consider them for the first team probably jaded kids who were there and made other kids not want to come. Now we have someone with a plan and foresight we want him out if I were king I would rubber the fans and give mw five years that is how long it will take to get the kids playing the right way the reason the first team struggle is we can't afford the players who can play that system so we must make them. The first team cannot compromise that style that is taught to youth so when the youth comes of age they slot right in to something that they have played since playing 7 a side and into 11's. How many people who want rid of the gaffer play or played football, watch, coach kids football and most importantly understand what is happening. I see parents telling kids to take everyone on don't pass as they haven't a clue touch, control, pass and move at speed is the only way forward and that is what we are trying granted the players are what we used to have but they are the ones we've got deal with the next generation will be the ones we should be concerned about. Look at dembele if they get half the money he is worth plus sell on percentage they will have had one of the biggest results in Scottish football history we need to make boys that will change our game and they will just takes time.

Agreed Gary, ignorance is killing the game!

Slag off McLeish all you want however he did win league titles with the club and until Warburton does then you can't really say he is much better. It's really interesting the amount of guys who come on here praising Warburton saying he has a plan and how great he is yet they can't show any proof of this.

Gary75 great post agree with every word.

I'm absolutely buzzing for this game.

I'm not a Macleish fan but Biffo makes a good point. He did win trophies! The problem with Warburton's team is that they lack leadership on the park and there is a distinct lack of fight and team spirit. There is absolutely no point in playing pretty football if you don't win games and at the end of the day winning is what matters. Tommy Burns' teams played pretty football but they won nothing. Players like Terry Hurlock, Souness etc., added that much needed steel and even our wingers, guys like Willie Johnston going back a bit, could look after themselves. Players like McKay have got the football ability but without heart and a winning mentality they will never be successful in Scotland.

Mcleish had money to spend!
Money warburton could only dream of at rangers!

21 Nov 2016 20:37:22
McLeish had some great players like de boer, Numan, Mols, Amoruso, Caniggia.
It was a different ball game.

22 Nov 2016 19:31:32
Caniggia lololol.
