I read an interesting article about conte the Chelsea manager and he talked about how Chelseas 3-4-3 was his plan D for the team. He changed from 424 to 433 to 4231 before moving to the 343 and now his team have clicked and he has a good balance in attack and defense. He talked about chances created and clean sheets. Now if we talk about Rangers current formation do you think the balance is right if we are not creating enough clean cut goal scoring chances? If we conceed a goal every game near enough? In modern football it seems important to tinker and get the formation right for the players. i'm fully behind Warbs and will give him the season to improve but just a thought about tactical setup.

Warburton doesn't have the knowledge or experience to change tactics and formations within a team mate. Also the squad ( which he has formed ) is way too one dimensional and lacks any sort of variation. I fear his days are numbered and would welcome change at the earliest opportunity to let us get back to ways more known to a Glasgow Rangers team.

I don't believe for a second that a formation change would have any affect! You win games playing players who are confident, talented and have the desire to be first to every ball and compete in every aspect. As for Conte, you're bound to eventually win some games when the average value of your players is about £50 million!

Nonsense RFC the OP has just proved that you can with his Chelsea example. They are far better than previous set up. As Bryan1978 says Warburton is out of his depth in that department.

RFC

It's true about the cost of the Chelsea squad however they are competing in a league with other teams who have the same spending power and also have squads in excess of the Chelsea one we aren't competing against the same level of teams they are so your argument doesn't hold any merit.

Like we have all the knowledge on tactics, formations etc better than the Rangers manager! Aye right. Never read so much guff.

I know Warburton is contracted until 2018 but the rumour going around is that Rangers are not happy with Warburton and he may be moving on in January.

13 Nov 2016 22:05:29
Gor, warbs is actually contracted to 2019 my friend! Nobody knows that the rangers board are unhappy with our manager. By the sound of our managing director stewart Robertson, he continually praises warburton and is seemingly pretty happy with what he's building at rangers. So you said what it is, its only rumours that our directors are unhappy with warburton!

Have been told by a senior source at RFC that the rumoured financial crisis is way off the mark and MW has clubs full support.

13 Nov 2016 23:19:39
Supercoopereleven, would you persist with Warburton?

13 Nov 2016 23:48:30
Warburton is building nothing. There is no evidence that the team are improving and after the 2 performances against Celtic I would suggest we are further away from competing with them than we have ever been while being in the same league. All that Warburton is building is a team vastly inferior to Celtic which won't win the league while he is in charge.

13 Nov 2016 23:52:46
Yes, i would still persist with warburton. The very least he deserves is 'till the end of the season. Only then should we fully judge our management team and where we are!

14 Nov 2016 10:30:49
if he goes in January we will be up a creek without a paddle.
need to give this manager a season he deserves that much at least. the way he turned the team around last season compared to previous ones and the style of football he gets us to play is deserving of the rest of the season.
if he doesn't change formations and we don't get better this season then ill say goodbye happily.
we have to give him time with this squad and hope he can turn it around but formation has to change I think it would make a lot of difference.
the players need to play a lot better than they have been!

we have been very unlucky that we haven't got more points but I think it will click and rangers will hammer a team and not look back.

it's a completely different situation considering we do not have diego costa or eden hazard lol.

GDOG - In actual fact he's proven nothing other than the fact that there has been variance in Chelsea's results! Show me some proof it's not just coincidence!
