Bottom line is a manager has to get the best out of what he has and its not happening! I would love to play the way warbs wants but I would much rather win football matches! To achieve what warbs wants I feel will take millions to buy technically gifted players which we don't have! We need an old school gaffer with proper discipline! Get players super fit and working ther socks off! That will bring far more joy than passing the ball around trying to look like a football team! Socks up and stuck in!

Nic I can't disagree with most points it's the cost of cutting ties that worries me though. We need to see this season out and make a decision in the summer. If the unthinkable happened and we parted ways with warbs during the season I would go all out to get Souness and Joe Jordan in for the short term. Old school and a Rangers man who knows what this club is all about. Modernised football is fine if you can get away with it but the players need to know that defeat is unacceptable at our great club. Too many empty shirts don't seem to know what it means to step up against that lot. Gilks and Hodson should start on Wednesday if not ill be baffled.

Ger88,i truly think we should give warbs time as imo he'll get us there. A wee point on a scotland legend who i respect to the hilt, big joe (jaws) jordan. My gran god rest her soul, was originally from chapelhall and was brought up beside big joe's family from his mother's side. My gran was always in and out joe's mother's house and was best pals with joe's mums sister cathy. When i was 7 years old i had the privilege of getting my picture taken holding big joe's scotland jersey (still with the grass stains on it) when he scored the goals that beat czechoslovakia 3-1 at hampden. Big joe is a true gent and proper legend and my gran always raved and spoke highly of joe's mums side and the jordan side. She was very friendly with them. When i met joe as a wee boy i thought i was the bees knees, i can always remember how big he was next to me, a giant of a man.

Suoercoop I do agree Warbs should be given time. Certainly not on the bandwaggon of getting shirt of him. However you know yourself mate football is a results driven business and King said last summer he wanted the Championship won then to challenge for the spfl title. To get a cup win and finish in top 3 this season would be great but we are just too inconsistent and it seems warbs doesn't yet know his best 11 (injuries withstanding) .
Jaws is a great football man and I believe Harry Redknapp rates him so highly from the Pompey and Spurs days. It's a shame he's not involved day to day.

Difficult to get the best out pdf players when they are on the treatment table. Add to that the fact that we don't have a leader on the park and we have a manager that refuses to drop players that simply are not performing and are not capable of performing any better. Wallace will never be a captain, McKay will never be a premier league player. We have a lot of work to do, just to stand still. Risks were taken in the summer with the players brought in from the bargain basement. So far they are not working.
If we want to catch up with and overtake Celtic then real investment is needed, otherwise we will just need to accept being also-rans for a number of years.

I hate to say it but I would give anything for the grit and determination we showed during the Souness era.

Yes that's exactly what we need to go backwards and start humping the ball up the park

We are only 3/ 4 months into our first season back with a small budget due to no Europe money and a disgraceful kit deal

When we finish 2nd if we do improve as the season develops, mind we were very unlucky to lose to the sheep, the Europa Cup money plus I would hope we get rid of this awful kit deal for next season and both these should mean £15/ 20m

Add the season tickets and a very likely share issue and we will then and only then be able to afford to buy the quality of players Celtic are buying

Only then can anyone fairly judge Warburton!

Be honest how do you think Walter would have done if you remove the Laudrups and Garcignes plus countless other internationals and even the last team he won league with was full of top internationals from shagg*r to Naismith and Davis. Walter won by being well disciplined but also because we had top level players. Warburton has possibly 2/ 3 players that at their best would get into Walters teams Niko when fit Miller just and McKay when on form possibly Halliday and Wallace at peak form Garner and his level of players basically the rest of the squad would be bench warmers at best

Patience and reality check required. Thank god the board not fickle part time supporters are in charge of thee decisions. Warburton will stay if we finish in top 3 and fingers crossed we get a good run in Scottish cup.
