Barton probably, gave an honest opinion, that some people did not like. ie halliday especially as barton has taken his spot in the team, from what I hear it was not a one way conversation, some players stating that they beat Celtic without barton, those players seem to be living on passed performances, never a good thing.

From what I've seen this season, we are one paced, no intensity, poor passing and some players are off form, too predictable, also the Manager does not seem to know his best Team, its just not the bad performance against Celtic, it's a general apathy in performance.

Quite possibly Barton was given an honest critique of his shocking performances this season. Could his presence in the dressing room be having a detrimental effect on the team. He does not fit in with the way Warburton likes to play, have to question why he was brought here. Was he even MW's choice?

I think this rammy has probably been brewing for a few weeks and now that it has happened hopefully the team can get together and realise they need to pull together and start winning games. This should be a wake up call to some and to start justifying their wage and reputation, Warbs needs to get a settled squad and having Barton and Nico on the bench then opens the door to putting Holt, Windass and Rossiter on the pitch witch we all want to see, I think Barton will come good and to be able ti call on him during a game as with Nico would be a hammer blow to teams if the manager does it at the right times. Giv McCay a break he's going to stick wi Sendaros so put either Wilson or Crooks. Beside him with Forested on the right and O'Hallaron on the left and tell them to switch flanks at times during games both are right footed so giv them both a chance. Stick Wags and Garner up front I know Dodoo is out the now but imo the lad will do well for me that's our best team at THE moment and its a 4-4-2 in my eyes, Could Warbs not set the team up 4-4-2 but get the team to break into a 4-3-3 at times? Playing out from the back with players that are multi-positional, I'm sure this could be done at times during match Warbs seems stuck on this 4-3-3 and against certain teams yeah but others were needin more strength in middle of the park! Honest Bears this bust up was probably needed now its time for Warbs to man manage and players to realise who the f*ck their playing for!

Looks like some of the players are in denial and can't take some home truths about their performances. Also think Manager is another who can't take criticism and there is a soft mentality at the club. Barton has been very poor however nothing wrong with telling some players how it is.

Maybe oor Joey just stated facts by telling the room that Rob Kiernan is guff and the sooner Wilson is back the better. Wee Andy will be hating Barton because Barton is ten times the player Halladay is. This witch hunt over Barton is disgraceful. Especially when none know the truth or what exactly went on.

Although I do agree that joey barton hasn't as yet set the heather on fire 4 us I still think he'll without question come good 4 as he is a quality midfielder, there's one thing that smacks you right in the face here, joey barton is a winner!

Jeranimo. It has turned into a bit of a witch-hunt with Barton appearing to be the scapegoat for a lot of Rangers' ills this season. Well, him and Kiernan.

However, he came with a big (and chequered) reputation, he's shot his mouth off like a tit since he arrived (and, equally worryingly, he always has so we knew what was coming), he has failed to deliver the commanding performances expected, Rangers have been poor this season and we took a royal humping last weekend which, despite the Tuesday night hangover cure, is still very raw.

For the first time in my life, I wish Warburton would follow Lennon's example and ban mobile phones (and all social media) from the dressing room and training ground.

I don't know for a fact what Barton did or didn't say but I hope Warburton makes the right call because this is big moment in his Rangers managerial career.

And whatever is done, I hope it's done behind closed doors - but there's hee-haw chance of that!

I don't warburton. i think halliday, holt etc would be better midfield. Barton got to go in my eyes. his wage prob loads money we could save. if barton still here an no good come. just let him leave on a free.

Indeed mate. The whole team has been off the pace this year. Miller bailed us out 2 weeks in a row with the 2nd goal v Dundee and an injury time winner v Motherwell, or it could be a lot worse. Kiernan has been laughable at the back from day one. With the exception of the Celtic game last year in the cup. We need to get rid of him or soft goals and sloppy defending will continue all through the season. If we start defending properly and be a bit more solid at the back. The team will grow in confidence. Wallace has been poor this year as well. The full team loos low on confidence. Anytime a team counter attacks us they look like scoring. That is a worry. MW needs to grow a set and sort it.

I blame the tactic we are playing. The full backs are being told to bomb fwd and were leaking goals like a siv leaks water. We're not even scoring or playing anything decent in the final third to compensate for the amateurish defending. Something is wrong behind the scenes that we don't know about. I'm sure of it. We are a different team to the team that was zipping about last year. Does Barton have anything to do with it? Who knows what's going on but something does not seem quite right to me.

Barton is a good player. He's the best in the team for sitting in front of the defence. He can see a pass and he gets stuck into tackles. All this chatter on here by other posters claiming Barton slows the play down is not accurate. We play the ball out wide consistently to wingers that never take the full back on. They pass the ball back and it gets passed across the park to the other wing and back again. It's hardly the deep lying midfielders fault we do f all with it and we play a passing game that is easy to play against as we never go through the middle. We don't have Messi, Neymar or Suarez to pull this style aff. I think some people on here are expecting Barton to ghost past 5 players and sink a 30 yarder into the top corner a few times a game the way they go on.
