Thought today the problem was the midfield. Barton, Halliday and Rossitier i think are too alike. There was no1 running through the lines as it's not their natural game. I think Windass gives us that option and when Nico came on his first thought was to pass forward. All in all i think Warburton is still trying to get the right balance in midfield, not the best performance but we kept going and got a huge 3 points!

Yeah we lacked creativity no real service everything was leaked out wide never any aggression through the middle.

Mckay had a shocker today - I'm not his greatest fan but he could have been taken off after 20 mins - no confidence to go by or take on his man - we looked off the pace in the first half - I've said before Rossiter is a joy to watch - always looking for the ball and rarely misses a pass - At least in the second half we kept pushing and trying and we got the 3 points in the end - Ref was shocking and gave us nothing. - Parading Joe Garner at half time definitely lifted the place - great atmosphere today - Everyone tried their best, yes even wee Barry who just had an off day -.

Ive came on this site a few times saying barton could be a standout for yourselves, but from what i can gather the only thing he has done is bump his gums about us, a few of ma mates said that he dosent even look interested and they are ticket holders, not match fit maybe?

We have better players than Barton but we need his experience and desire. Been solid so far and will get better!

I recon Windass should play alongside Rossiter and Barton in the mid with licence to run with the ball. Think this will open spaces that aren't being made at the moment as we don't really have anyone in the middle of the park who will commit a couple of players.

Thought we were very naive today. Wee McDonald, Lasley and McManus used every old trick in the book to gain fouls and time waste when they were 1-0 up McKay always slows game down and lacks confidence to attack and run at defenders.
When we attack teams aggressively and get defenders turning, we put a bit of fear into teams.
Watched Rossiter closely a few times now and although he fights for every ball, he is prone to some slack passing and first touch sometimes let's him down - like today it was his poor first touch that left him stretching and losing possession that led to their goal.
We definitely lacked creativity and goal threat until Krankjar and Dodoo came on - Does Warbs not see this?
I would start both in place of Haliday and McKay and If we add add Garner and Senderos, we could be a decent team.

Got to agree with windass instead of halliday. it wid make some difference. halliday and barton look to laboured at times for my liking.

Halliday should not be in the starting eleven. He has been poor in all three SPL Games and is just not a defensive midfield player. I would much rather see Holt in there alongside Rossiter and Barton, or, alternatively, let's see how Crooks would slot in to that side. As for the attacking midfield I would look to leave McKay on the bench places are going to be at a premium and he has just not been good enough in the SPL.

Good shout mushy10 but can't see the gaffer leaving out barton. i lost count how many times barton was struggling to keep up with the Well players. not sure if he's fit or not.
