I would be happy with Sendeross over Lescot, let's not get to worried about him not coming, not like he some world beater he 34 and had is in the twilight at least Senderos has a few years left in him!

Hopefully Garner concluded today, this is the modern day Super Ally, scores all sorts of goals all types, really excited for him to sign, straight up through the middle number 9, no nonsense.

m3lvo my friend I like your optimism but modern day goal machine I think we will have to wait and see lol!
I hope u are right and he can put the fear of god into defences the way super ally did.

He scored 6 goals in the Championship last season, hardly the next Ally McCoist. Hopefully he bangs in more than that for us though as we need a striker.

Go on to you tube and see the goals he scores, every type, in the box outside box tap ins long rangers, headers, skill, luck, knee arse, he gets the ball in the net great variati0on. I mean in that respect, I know last year he had a poor season but the 2 seasons before he scored 20+ that is good going.

Hogg he's played more than one season of football. Overall he's approx. 1 goal every 3 matches but has proven in two separate seasons he's capable of scoring more than 1 goal every 2 matches. Definitely a proven goalscorer. Comparing him to super ally? well we'll just have to wait and see.

If you actually look at his record most of the goals he has scored have been in the lower leagues and when he has played in the Championship his record is not that great.

For that reason it remains to be seen if he will be able to raise his game and score consistently at a higher level. Obviously, we will give him a chance and our support but let's not compare him to McCoist, who is our clubs most successful goal scorer.

Yes the lower leagues of England. Still very competitive with a decent standard of football. He can only score against the teams that's put in front of him. We'll see how he gets on in Scotland. I think we can compare him to any player, Super Ally included, just depends what your comparing. Prolific? Maybe not. Style? Yes sort of. Banter? No idea. So on and so forth. Nobody was saying he is an exact replica of Sir Ally, only similar.

The point is, he was not scoring regularly (1 in 6 if your lucky) against the teams put in front of him when it came to the Championship.

That is not to say he won't do it in Scotland. I am just off the opinion that his record is not particularly great when he has played at his highest level to warrant such praise yet.
