Although I love the idea of Auchenhowie being named as The Davie Cooper Academy or similar, are we not missing a trick by not looking for a sponsor for the training centre? At least that would be a commercial contract we would have ownership of and ability to manage?

Why would anyone want to sponsor a training ground?
Companies sponsor stadiums because they are on TV regularly, so get reach to customers through the deal. However, this is not true of training grounds.
Perhaps this is the reason King and Co have not yet considered trying to get a sponsor.

how many times a week do we see on tv Murray Park and hear the name Murray Park? . The naming rights have a commercial value, the club should monetize and create a revenue stream.

I have made contact. It is commercially viable for the right brand and value. Murray Park is currently synonymous with the training facility, correctly done it could be known as something commercially appropriate going forwards. Personally, I'd like to see this happening.

Man utd are totally different, the company sponsors cover everything yo do with them, I said months ago mp should be renamed after Greigy or Coop, or both, and don't forget big colin Jackson, the original and real Bomber.

I can't agree with selling off everything just to make some more cash. The academy should be sacred. What does it say to the young players other than 'its all about money'? It should be the Davie cooper academy. A name that shows them the history and inspires them.
