I see the media has started speculation already about big names that Brendan Rodgers might sign, including Steven Gerrard! Celtic may well have more money than Rangers but they cannot afford to splash out big transfer fees and very high wages as the revenue simply isn't in the Scottish game. I think it is a coup to sign Barton and hopefully Kranjcar. Let's focus on who we sign and leave Rodgers and Celtic to their own devices.

Yes they can and they will doiger, don't be surprised if they buy someone for 5 or 6 million mate, i think they have been keeping their money till we get back up, Rodgers wouldn't be here unless he was getting proper money for players, but he spent 250 million at Liverpool and got sacked, it's not how much u spend, it's how u spend it, in warbs n weir we trust.

im sure the new sponsor is his company aswell? bit of a loophole to put cash in.
there are a few rumours about gerrard and others disliking rodgers but i'm sure it was rodgers call to not offer a extension to gerrard's contract? (might be wrong)
cant see him leaving usa to come to here for a year playing in the rain. lol.

Didn't they cough up £3m towards Brenda's gardening leave as well as the £45k a week wages? That's a hefty chunk out their transfer budget surely.

DEEB. I seem to remember a bit of a spat between the two myself.
Can't see him at Parkhead but if he was to come he would be a drain on resources and well past his best anyway.

Rodgers instantly shot that down when asked about it, anyways Gerrard is on 5 million a year living in LA why would anyone give that up for glasgow.

£25 million deal with NB and the same amount with dafabet, £5 million from Magners & a £20 million Champions League windfall if get there. Add on around 50,000 season tickets. i'm sure there will be big money spent this summer after offloading 10-12 players. DK better get the "War Chest" out if it exists. Only time will tell.
