I think everyone is being rather harsh on the boys.
Granted yesterday was absolutely gutting. But let's face it the better team won on the day.
But we shouldn't be giving our players the stick that we are. They have been phenomenal all season. And from what I've seen people on have negativity when we've lost. A true rangers fan never only sings when we win. We lost the final but we are back where we belong in Scotland's top tier. And hibs will be down there scrapping against the likes of Dundee Utd and Falkirk and in my view Falkirk should win the championship next season if they perform like they did this season
People saying Tavs and Halliday are terrible? How? .
Okay Tavs isn't the best defender but has great pace and has plenty of goals in him. And Andy is a great player. Strong physically and mentally and can score! They have been great additions to our squad!
Just think we should take it easy on our lads. They've worked hard all season and did what needed t be done!

You say that tav isn't the best defender but surely as a right back his job first and foremost is to defend and especially in the latter part of season and certainly yesterday he hasn't done that, I like his attacking instincts but we need a right back to be able to defend.

Tavernier can't defend never mind being called not the best defender. He has cost us a load of goals and yesterday Stokes ripped him to bits. It was similar to when Petta did the same to Ricksen but for the whole game and not just 20 mins. The players have been rotten since the cup semi and the defending was awful yet again. The criticism is justified and I don't think anyone has posted anything out of order.

The manager has to take some responsibility for Tavernier's defending because he has told him to bomb forward, which means there will be gaps at the back.

Bombing forward has nothing to do with his poor defending yesterday. Stokes continually went by him as if he wasn't there and Tavernier attempt to mark Stokes at their second goal was appalling.

Tavernier has scored a lot more goals than he could be blamed for this season. That ends the argument for me. Can't have it both ways, a roving defender who scores 15+ a season and can defend like Maldini. These players don't exist for £100,000, more like £50m. Give the guy a break man.
The defense will be sorted in the summer, a commanding CB and CDM will sort the whole thing out. I still think Wilson will play next year beside a more experienced CB or even Crooks. Some of his passing was great yesterday, he just needs a dominating player in beside him to clear their lines in the mould of Weir.

He is supposed to be a defender! He can't defend! Either play him right midfield and get another full back or get rid of him.
