A few of my mates are Celtic fans, they are over the moon about Rodgers getting the Celtic job until I pointed out he's not done much as a manager, told them he had 1 good season with Liverpool until Suarez left then he was useless! haha. they actually agreed with me after they had thought properly about it!

Whether we like it or not it is a good appointment and Celtic fans should be thanking us because one thing is for certain, if we had not been promoted they would certainly not have signed someone of the calibre of Rogers. He was out of his depth at Liverpool where he was given too much money to spend however I believe that he will provide a good challenge to Warburton and the Celtic Board will back him financially.
Thankfully we have a good management team that would appear to be capable of picking up good quality players at bargain prices. We need to see continued financial support from the Board to ensure that we are above them in the Table come next May.

Oh yes it means one thing, Rangers are back! The day before Scotlands most successful club are in another cup final with more silverware looming they make their big announcement.
Roll on next season, in Warburton we trust.

Walked out on Watford, sacked at Reading, walked out on Swansea, sacked at Liverpool. Teams got worse when he added his own players.

2 be fair if delilah could win the league with the rubbish he had playing for them i'm sure Rodgers could do the same. he's going to need a big kitty and get rid of deadwood. Will make for a crackin season as we will be pushing for top 2.

Well I think it's great that a manager like rodgers has came to Scotland. he's a big name and now let's see how good a manager he really is because he has his work cut out.

There's no way to tell how he's going to be, he has a very mixed record in management but he is a big name.
Just have to wait and see, frankly I'm not concerned about what Celtic do, my only concern is Rangers.
@Bhrydobhoy, There's absolutely no way for you to know that and you're basing your opinion on nothing but blind optimism, you don't know if he'll be good, you don't know what players are coming in or leaving, you know next to nothing at this point so your opinion is invalid.
Also, I'd like to question why after making a new managerial appointment you are so obviously excited about that you are coming to a Rangers related forum?

Mark Warburton is magic = yes
Celtic fans are brad pittin themselves for next season = yes

Let's face it the Celtic board are going to back Rodgers financially this summer so it is now even more crucial that Dave King gets the merchandise deal sorted so we can compete in the transfer market. The quality of player we are going for is positive but I fear we could struggle to compete over a whole season if they start splashing out.

Sa yn celtic have no money to invest in new players they will need to shift the deadwood be fore they buy, in regards rodgers he is that good a mansger that no other club offered him a contract since his time as being sacked by liverpool, i wonder why.

I'll make it short n sweet but u'v got to laugh at them, publicity stunt n a half 😂 pure pathetic. They're all over the moon because they think it's gonnae take the shine off of us, but it really is just all about the rangers. Forget it bhoys but we're too busy preparing ourselves for the showpiece game of the season to concern ourselves with u's. Let's do this teddy bears n get another trophy in the cabinet.

What do we have to be scared of? While I admit that Rodgers is not only a great appointment for Celtic he is a great appointment for Scottish football but let's not under estimate the job in hand.
He has to clear all dead wood and trust me there's a fair bit of that.
He has to get the players he wants to make your club a success in Europe and there's been no mention of transfer kitty
And finally he has to get them to adapt to his style of play as they have been playing 4-5-1 for the past two years.
So once he has sorted all that out I will tell you how scared we are of him.
