Reading about Goodwillie there. Seems he won't be going back to the sheep when his loan deal is up. Career has most definitely stalled if not gone into free fall.
Tpye of player MW and DW could get the most out of no doubt but is he good enough?
Thoughts anyone?

I would think not, had it been a few years ago think MW and DW would have turned him into a star but don't think we could afford the patience of trying to get this guy back to his best. Had this been 1 year ago and a run in the championship then maybe, but not now. Need someone to hit the ground scoring.

Depends, if he can get back to the form of a few years ago, I'd take him as a squad player, otherwise it would be a no from me.
It's a gamble for sure.

Fair do's lads. I was sort of erring to that opinion myself. Might just be a bit late in his case. Shame though as I think there was a talented footballer in there at a time. Kinda a bit like Scott Allan, another half descent talent that is wasting his career.

I always rated him, but whether that talent could be brought back to our advantage is another thing. Maybe he could train with us and play in a couple of closed door friendlies to enable MW and DW to assess.

Too much baggage. Cumming's has baggage but is scoring 20+ goals a season, a lot of them against us. I don't want either but if I had to take one it would be Cumming's.
I think judging by the level of player we have been linked with so far MW could surprise us all and pull a Striker and CB of real quality out the bag, far above the two mentioned above.

hopefully your right recbob i honestly think if we secure barton and kranjcar then all we need is a better quality striker than Cummings as he has only done so well in the championship i don't think he could do that in the spl . and a real cb with a bit of pace about him as the ones we have are just not quick enough to chase anyone back.
