I agree that we need a new manager however i feel that the timing of all this talk about replacing murty is shocking it clearly shows that the board are only interested in getting our season ticket renewal money. Imo all this talk of new players manager etc should have not been leaked until we have secured second spot.

What must murty and players be thinking going into the last 4 games. They must be feeling totally let down and as a result there is now a higher risk that we could end up finish 4th and relying in the unclean winning the cup to secure our European slot giving that mobs support more opportunities to give it 2 our fans. Not a happy bear guys bring on the disagrees guys.

1.) 27 Apr 2018 12:08:59
How will the players be feeling totally let down. If the board were not trying to get a new manager for next season then they wouldn't be doing there job. If i was there as a player and had been told there was a new manager for next season. I would be going be doing my best to impress.

2.) 27 Apr 2018 12:33:56
I agree Honda, hopefully make the players step up knowing they have to impress! Also Murty will at least know what is happening and ease the pressure on him to say win the last four games, and get put in to the managers plans for next year.

3.) 27 Apr 2018 12:43:39
The players will be feeling let down? Not anywhere near as much as the fans at some of their performances this season mate

4.) 27 Apr 2018 12:53:18
If anything, it should be giving the players that are currently there a boot up the a***. Playing to impress and for their futures now.

5.) 27 Apr 2018 13:03:53
Murty new his deal was to the end of the season and the players might get there finger out knowing someone is watching them possibly!

6.) 27 Apr 2018 13:06:20
If people weren’t hearing about a new manager and new players would all be moaning because didn’t no what was going on and why should they buy season tickets when kept in dark, board can’t win can they, but I would rather hear what’s happening

7.) 27 Apr 2018 13:06:48
They have no right to be feeling let down after the dross they’ve shown on the pitch. They need to play to keep there place in the squad is the way i see it.

8.) 27 Apr 2018 13:30:05
Think back to the last game, Murtys tactics didn't work, we were thrashed, we had players arguing and fighting etc. no team spirit, no leadership on the field,
Well in my opinion maybe it would do them good to know that they are being watched by a new manager and could be playing for their future, could make them put a bit more effort in!

9.) 27 Apr 2018 14:04:43
United Kingdom. The new manager talk about SG, might prove to be a master stroke. Letting that out before the game against the mhankie mhob, must surely put a rocket up the players. Like the guys have said, they'll be playing for their futures. Might just spoil the pharty after all

10.) 27 Apr 2018 14:18:14
Tbh the club haven't commented directly anyway. It goes on all the time.

11.) 27 Apr 2018 14:40:55
Can only be a good thing. These players need to know they must leave nothing on the park (unless it is a boot print on thumb or peanut heid) and that they are playing for the right to be in the squad next season. I can accept lack of ability but I'll never accept lack of effort

12.) 27 Apr 2018 14:53:02
It is right and proper that we consider our manager for next season as Murty is only contracted to Summer. Murty may be in the mix as well! Would you rather the board sat on their hands and rushed things later on?

13.) 27 Apr 2018 18:16:06
I get all of your opinions re it may give players a kick up the butt to up their game however if you look through the history book of similar situations the vast majority of times the teams involved takes a dip in form. Ps i truly hope i'm wrong.

On stevie g, i feel this move is going to be a massive gamble as he is inexperienced and has some mess to sort out poss having to ship out at least 10 players and replace them with a better quality.
One off my biggest concerns is that we start taking lesser offers for players in order to get them out the door.

We will need to give whoever gets the job time as such a massive turn around in playing staff will result in inconsistency till the manager gets his settled team and beds in the new players.

I posted on here about 7 months ago about david murray wanting to reinvest in the gers. At that point he was trying to broker a deal with 2 saudi business men to buy the club and right the wrongs that he feels that he has done. I got the usual shot down in flames. (The deal fell threw)
Murray has been looking for an oppertunity to get back involved with the famous and from a personal point of view some of my best memories where under him but that aside i feel that we would be crazy to turn any money that he offered down. I feel he is a true rangers man and would have learnt a hard lesson on the mistakes that he made and would hopefully not make them again.

united kingdom

1.) 08 Mar 2018 16:21:09
I'll take his cash, but he can get ti!

2.) 08 Mar 2018 16:41:04
No true rangers man would of sold us out the way he did.

3.) 08 Mar 2018 16:56:40
I feel most of us on here would agree with those sentiments however, many see him as the man who sold us to the first idiot that came along. What followed was unimaginable so I reckon that will be hard to forget and forgive for most of us.

4.) 08 Mar 2018 18:38:20
Totally agree with you united kingdom. When david murray was in charge he was brilliant and the players he brought to rangers were unbelievable -laudrup, gasgoigne, numan, albertz, mols to name just a few. The list goes on and on. In my opinion the only thing he done wrong was sell to whyte, and i genuinely feel that has hurt him ever since, and if he could go back there is no doubt he would of done things differently. I feel he wants to try his best to get us back to where we belong and maybe right some wrongs. and he has the resources and the contacts to do it. I would back him 100% and i'm sure the majority of fans would get behind him. RTID

5.) 08 Mar 2018 19:51:32
Guy only did what he had to do mate. That’s my experience of business when the bank is driving. They tried to close me down after failing to get £250k from me. I then sold my business for a nice profit within 3 weeks. With no luck I was bankrupt.

Not looking for an argument lads. Guy still must answer some large questions.

Let’s not take the focus off Sunday as we can do it on our own for now.

6.) 08 Mar 2018 19:52:04
The deal fell threw?! Supposed to take you seriously? Don't want Murray back anyway. King committed his money and that counts and credit where credit's due.

7.) 08 Mar 2018 19:53:43
Murray due to his own financial mess which was out with his control was forced by bankers to sell. He oversaw 9 in a row. I would welcome him back with conditions of proper control.

8.) 09 Mar 2018 09:41:24
David Murray duped Whyte and allegedly pointed him down the ticketus route. Whyte had zero personal cash to invest.
Hunt him from Ibrox

9.) 09 Mar 2018 10:15:35
Murray like most of us was conned by a man who made out he had Rangers best interest at heart.

10.) 09 Mar 2018 11:32:06
Kfraser if u where on here when i orginally posted it i just wrote the deal fell threw in fact it never got started my friend worked for a company that was brokering at deal between murray and 2 Saudi's for steel for oil platforms. When the deal was being discussed the saudi business men where also discussing the possibility of purchasing a football club in the uk the gers and leeds utd and sheffield utd where looked into they decided to go for leeds utd and that deal fell threw as leeds chairman refused to sell mate. plus i don't really care if u believe it or not but Will agree that king has been great for the club.

15 Jan 2018 18:09:53
Just a wee thought i don't think there is a chance in hell of us trying to off load herrera as he is our only target man. He maybe rubbish and at times its like sat morning footy when a few of your players don't turn up and you get your mini bus to stop at the bus and ask the guy standing there do u play football mate lol but he is our only option when we want 2 go route one. We have no other player like him in the squad so until we can replace him we are stuck with the big fellow.

united kingdom

1.) 15 Jan 2018 19:25:45
He’s not a target man at all though. And who says we need to lump long balls to him.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 01:06:28
I have a source inside the club that has told me that we may be getting 1 million for Herrera from Santos Laguna (Said RFC would bite hand off for that. ) My source works with the first team, that's all I can say.

3.) 16 Jan 2018 13:57:05
He doesn’t win any balls in the air so hardly a target man.

4.) 16 Jan 2018 13:56:00
Blue 89 is right. He's no target man. Just a cart horse

5.) 16 Jan 2018 13:57:23
I really don't care if he is a target man or not wasnt my point we have no height up front so won't be sold until a replacement is purchase. Plus how many games u been 2 this season blue89 as i can name at least five where herrera has been brought on and we have resorted to the long ball mate

6.) 16 Jan 2018 18:03:37
He's the only target man who can't head a ball.

£4£ one of our worst signings ever.

26 Oct 2017 11:27:18
its simple pedro is going no where even if the board wanted to get rid of him we simply can't afford to. As i said in an earlier post it would cost rangers a couple of million in compensation to sack pedro.
Any new manager would want at least a transfer kitty of min 8 million just to complete for second spot or nearer 20 million if they wanted to challenge for the league title.

not going to happen the board are committed to pedro and that will not change unless seroius investment is made in our team.

if you look at our previous managers pre going bust w smith mcleish ect when signing new players they had about a 70% success 30 % of them didn't settle or where duff. So why is pedro getting this abuse when he is working with a quarter of the budget that smith and co had.

united kingdom

1.) 26 Oct 2017 12:05:22
There is a board meeting taking place today regarding his future.

You say any manager would want 8m, fair enough, we have spent more than 8m and we are sitting 4th after 10 games. We are currently not competing with second, we have the form of a mid table club at the moment. It's just not good enough.

I was an avid backer of Pedro, but for a manager to spend that kind of money, bearing in mind we spend more than ANY club this transfer window (albeit the money was needed) and to be sitting in this position in the table and unable to beat Motherwell t take us to our first final since coming back is totally unacceptable.

2.) 26 Oct 2017 12:49:53
"So why is pedro getting this abuse when he is working with a quarter of the budget that smith and co had. "

Because it is still much more than every other team in the league bar one, but you wouldn't think it based on the performances and the league position

Not a rumour guys just a wee thought about king being at the liverpool game could he have had a meeting with souness not sg about becoming next manager poss even the 2 of them would love that guys but maybe just wishful thinking.

united kingdom

1.) 26 Apr 2018 12:25:07
wishful thinking mate

it was a jolly for King

maybe he should more time at our games

2.) 26 Apr 2018 13:38:23
Maybe he was trying to get Totti. Lol!
Take it as you will

3.) 26 Apr 2018 14:40:17
Guess time will tell I seriously hope he was just watching the game and not meeting up with gerrard

14 Apr 2018 15:42:44
Cant believe all this talk of a new manager let's get behind our current manager his remit is secure 2nd spot and get to final of scottish cup
1. Sitting second
2. In semi of the cup
3. Only manager that's managed in recent times to give the unclean a game and with some luck and better finishing should have won at least to of them
4. Has had one transfer window and brought in doch murph gross all good signing cumm and martin?
5. Players seem to like him and are playing for him
6. I think he has been unlucky with injuries to key players a key times in the season esp in defence and defensive midfield.

united kingdom

1.) 14 Apr 2018 19:59:45
I said when Murty was appointed that I would support him and that at that the end of the season would be the time to analyse and judge how good a job he managed to do.

Nothing has happened to change that. His success as our manager could easily go either way. Also I would say that none of Mark Allen's January signings have been overly successful, good games and bad for pretty much all of them.

2.) 14 Apr 2018 21:18:55
love how some fans remit is falling to try and argue their case 😂 was it not second and WIN Scottish Cup before? and Goss hasn't been that great mate, much of a muchness. Where the players playing for Murts in the Kille game and first half of Motherwell? 🤔

3.) 14 Apr 2018 21:31:20
Point 3 . I would think hearts and kilmarnock are the ONLY teams to give them a game and BEAT them so I don't see how praising a manager for drawing with them this season up to now when quite a few have managed draws.

4.) 15 Apr 2018 08:59:15
Motherwells Manager and Popcorn teeth have done better against them than Murty.

07 Apr 2018 17:37:47
I really don't know what fans want 4 nil hit the woodwork a couple of times and some fans on here complaining about kenny startin morales not for me ect and the same poor dundee took 2 points off of the unclean.
Win 4 nil ugly will do me any day of the week.

united kingdom

1.) 07 Apr 2018 17:49:19
I am pleased with a 4-0 win against anyone and hope we win semifinal. There's talent in our squad but we've been so inconsistent. This season could've been so much better

2.) 07 Apr 2018 18:05:53
Morelos, you're as bad as the commentators lol

3.) 07 Apr 2018 19:11:27
I don't know what anyone else thinks and i said this before the end of the game today, amongst my copland road pals! I'd play andy halliday in our midfield next sunday, against celtic! Thought halliday played well when he came on for docherty today! He'll bring much added dig and steel to our midfield next week! The game is always won and lost in midfield and with celtic being particularly strong in there i would certainly tweek our formation, overload and beef up our midfield! It imo could go a long way to us having a decent chance of winning the game! We can't allow yet again brown and co all the room in the world, to strutt about and do their stuff, otherwise we will most definitely lose again! Honour where honour is due and horses for courses so its not like me to say this, but halliday should be starting in our midfield next sunday!

4.) 07 Apr 2018 19:26:21
He changed the game today. I've always said he gets unfair treatment from our fans. i'd definitely play him next week. The dilemma is which I play along side him as both Dorrans and Doc were poor today.

5.) 07 Apr 2018 19:57:05
I'm not Hallidays biggest fan but when he came on today it allowed Dorrans to move further forward and he unquestionably looked better when trying to get into the opposition's box.

6.) 07 Apr 2018 20:01:24
Graham dorrans doesn't look nowhere near match fit, whereas docherty is match fit and a very fit midfielder in general! So there lies your answer mate

7.) 07 Apr 2018 20:11:21
Dorrans is played to deep. He should have been playing off Morelos today.

8.) 07 Apr 2018 20:16:52
Are you not overlooking that Halliday replaced Docherty today though . Dorrans definitely looks better further forward his natural position and that’s something that lots here have known and been saying for a long time. That being said I could agree to Halliday playing next week.

9.) 07 Apr 2018 20:20:28
Halliday was neat and tidy when he came on. Docherty got caught up in the occasion last time we played them. Don’t think Dorrans is fit enough yet. Miller did well today. Lots of energy and more off a voice than Windass.

10.) 07 Apr 2018 20:30:06
I was really impressed with Halliday when he came on and I agree he is a far better player than he is given credit for. He looked sharp, fit and hungry. Might be a good shout for next week. His only problem is that he is sometimes too casual on the ball and gets caught in possession too often. I'm hearing he has been getting his head down and is training well so maybe worth a wee curve ball. On another note, what has happened to see Holt? Is he injured?

11.) 07 Apr 2018 21:02:32
I don't know why wee holty is completely out the picture just now the seeker! As you've probably read on hear many times, i'm a fan of jason holt and always have been! He's a total pest to the opposition who doesn't give any opposition midfielder a wink of peace! He's a tenacious wee character! Never hides and covers every blade of grass! The wee man has a terrific engine and fit as a butchers dog! Every team IMHO needs a midfielder like wee holty!

12.) 07 Apr 2018 21:41:35
Halliday played well today

13.) 08 Apr 2018 09:09:49
Halliday has been rotten since we were promoted. He was shown up last season and was particularly poor when we played them especially in the semi final last year. After 25-30 mins of playing decent against Dundee suddenly he is the answer?

14.) 08 Apr 2018 11:53:49
Nobody is insinuating that andy halliday is a world beater or the long term answer! We have to try something different against them, in the midfield area on sunday! We have to stop brown bullying and dominating that midfield area, like he has been doing for far too much old firm games now! We need more steel and grit in there on sunday and let broony the loony know he's been in a game! He's getting it all his own way and its been far too easy for him! If we stop him, imoGrunch56 we have a major chance of beating them!
Just like the semi final when we beat them on penalties around 2 years ago now, i'd put andy halliday in there against brown and not give him a wink of peace or any time on the ball! Halliday when we beat them 2 years ago never gave brown a sniff! let's give halliday the chance to stand on him again and see how he copes with someone getting into his mince and continually breathing down his neck! Broony has proved on previous he doesn't cope well with that in yer face attitude! We need fighters in the midfield where as always the game will be won or lost! Can't afford to be lightweight once again ARTHUR D! I want fighters next week, not hiders! Try and see where i'm coming from instead of wrongly thinking, we all now think halliday's suddenly a world beater! Look beyond that and try understand my post!

29 Mar 2018 15:34:54
I for one would like 2 see murty getting the job for another couple of transfer windows at least. He has had one window and added four good addition to the squad.

Its my option that this current squad are on a par with the unclean pre brenda and as such i feel that 3 or 4 quality signings a centre back right back attacking midfielder and a striker valued at least 2million each would see us really providing a challenge to them next season.
I feel there will be money avail season tickets new shirt sponser hopefully a good euro run (at least group stages)
Freeing up some of the cash from the dead wood that we are carrying at least 6 players shipped out should take care of the loan signing becoming perm deals.

1.) 29 Mar 2018 17:50:32
I am not a very knowledgeable fan, I don't get too involved in line ups or tactics. I do like to be entertained and excited by the football my team is playing and under Murty i have loved the way we played , even the loss against the darkside, the first half was brilliant. Kilmarnock a big disappointment. that's 1 game out of about 10 so I'm happy with Murty so far.

2.) 29 Mar 2018 23:44:14
If murty wins the cup and secures 2nd comfortably with good home performances then he's got the job home form has destroyed our season if he can turn ibrox into the fortress it used to be and we are title contenders.

08 Mar 2018 15:04:44
Sorry forgot about holt so i think the midfield will be holt doch goss cand windy and morl up front.

united kingdom

1.) 08 Mar 2018 15:14:10
I can assure you united kingdom, if jamie murphy is fit, he'll be playing mate! I've got NO doubt about it!

2.) 08 Mar 2018 15:41:57
I don't agree super as i think he will be cautious in first half then bring murph and Cummings on as they tire buddy i think he would be very brave to play 2 wingers against that mob as brenda will have watched the hibs game where we got over run in the midfield bud

3.) 08 Mar 2018 16:47:04
If fit Murphy will definitely play. Is Elton fit to play?

4.) 08 Mar 2018 18:08:10
Agree nailed on Murphy fit will play

5.) 08 Mar 2018 19:50:22
United Kingdom or wherever you come from, you're living in a parallel universe. I'm sure you're a wind up and hope others don't fall for your tricks. Don't believe a word you're saying. Some of us here try making an honest analysis without the need of jokers on board.

6.) 08 Mar 2018 20:34:29
If we don't start Murphy and he's fit there's something far wrong. Even if he's still not right 100% he will want to play. He came for these games.

7.) 09 Mar 2018 06:57:42
Murphy will play on Sunday 100% United Kingdom at you mad?

8.) 09 Mar 2018 11:23:04
Murphy will start if fit.
