What is happening regarding the enquiry into Duff and Phelps handling of the period of administration?
This must be brought forward as a matter of urgency looking in particular as to whether all bids were dealt with fairy and whether the assets of the oldco Rangers were properly accounted for and traced.

stephen

1.) I don't believe fairness is the real issue, the real issue is everyone except D&P were certain HMRC would block any CVA, so why waste months asking buyers to submit CVA bids?

This company should have been wound up in weeks and its assets sold to the highest bidder, the liquidation sale to CG could have happened in March-April with anyone.

In my opinion they wasted months in Admin because the fans didn't want their club liquidated, and they simply pandered to their dreams.

It was a 3 million rip off.

2.) Agree, there were good offers turned down for no obvious reason, then once it was obvious liquidation was the only option Green (and possibly Whyte?) were given a clear run at things. The later at a time where many bidders were renewing their interest. The fact the price received only seems to cover D&P costs and pays very little to creditors should be reviewed irrespective of anything else. After all they are meant to be working in all (and not potentially just one of) the Creditor best interests.

3.) There were no good offers turned down for any other reason than they were not the highest, the sale went on for 3-4 months, plenty of time to put in the highest bid, and it did not happen.

Bill Miller offered 11 million but withdrew it, the 2nd highest bid was CG and he got it, no conspiracy, no foul.

It seems to equally upset both sets of OF fans that Rangers was worth next to nothing, but it was. and still is.

4.) It does not seem clear at all that no good offers were turned down. The bidding process was not at all transparent and any enquiry has not yet been published.
Also the audit trail is not very convincing and this is made evident by the issue that there seems to be no certainty as to where key Rangers assets currently sit.
Also where did all the funds which were previously in Rangers accounts pre-administration eventually end up. The funds seem to have been emptied and liabilities incurred so that at the point of administration the club was worth next to nothing. In other words the clubs state as being worth next to nothing was one that was engineered to be such for the purposes of buying the club on the cheap in administration - perhaps with money previously syphoned off from Rangers accounts pre-administration.

You have to question the prosecution strategy in the Whyte trial.

Why did'nt they go for things like his "fraudulent" denial in his Ticketus application as to his being disqualified as a director.

And then there was the strong case against other directors who whilst being directors of Rangers acted against the interests of Rangers football club at certain specific times and instances.

The prosectuion case againtst Whyte was too complicated and confused.

One thing the accounts clearly show is that King has put money into the club in the past year.
A run in Europe and increased sponsorship should put us on the road to recovery as long as we keep a lid on players wages.

What page did it show that?

2.) 29 Oct 2016 09:05:34
Boss,
It's in note 30.

£4.5 million through his New Oasis Asset Limited vehicle.

3.) 29 Oct 2016 09:12:42
The club is improving financially and you still don't see that King is part of that?

4.) 29 Oct 2016 10:40:44
Cheers Stephen.

@rafbob - how are we improving financially when our debt will rise another 3.75 million this season? You remind me of the government who never talk about the 1.5 trillion debt, they just say we are reducing the deficit. This just means they are slowing the rate at which debt is rising but most people think they are sorting the debt.

5.) 29 Oct 2016 11:31:47
So do these massively encouraging figures mean we can now attract a nomad and get a listing on a stock exchange?

Do they mean we can now gain access to further banking facilities?

Answers - No and no again.

6.) 29 Oct 2016 12:05:26
Naz get a grip. They mean we have started to turn the corner and recovering from the worst period in our proud history. Also means we have a Board and Leadership team that are addressing issues and making progress.

- Revenue up 36%
- Cost down 7%
- Loss reduced to £3m
- Loans stand at £10m

Still a long way to go and as we know many areas requiring attention and being worked on.

7.) 29 Oct 2016 12:15:46
Loans don't stand at 10 million, this is just 3rd party loans and do not include the soft loans from the directors. As I said in a different thread, these accounts seem like a PR exercise and I expect the full accounts issued in March 2017 to paint a different picture.

8.) 29 Oct 2016 14:40:38
Wait for next years a/ c s when all the big signings are included,

9.) 29 Oct 2016 14:41:36
naz we do need a nomad shares can be traded without any difficulty and why do we need a different bank with the directors providing interest free loans the only thing we really need is better results on the pitch and the debacle with barton brought to aswift conclusion and a deal done over how much of his contract is to be paid up in faact one of the things that has dissapointed me this season is the pailure of management to curtail bartons social media comments which would have averted the situation we find ourselves in.

I wonder if King is making money shorting Sports Direct today.

King has now been passed as fit and proper.
We will now see investment in the club.

1.) 19 May 2015 19:34:51
Celtic fans on the phone in are concerned about King not being a fit and proper person to be involved with Rangers. Good to see they are concerned about us perhaps going into administration again. Pity they weren't as vocal about White and Green. Perhaps they know King is fit and proper to run the club and make us a force again.

2.) 19 May 2015 20:17:30
Same old story Celtic fans coming on and being experts in everything. Laughable when the start each sentence buoy the words " I know for a fact" . They should just be honest and say how much they hate us and want to see us gone

3.) 19 May 2015 21:25:42
JFR I think they were as vocal about the "other" 2 charlatans mate it just you people decided to keep your heads in the sand and do what you do best, "follow follow" blindly! So best get it right sport!

{Ed039's Note - I like how people use phrases like they were "vocal" or have an "i told you so" attitude, when what they mean is they jumped on a story when a newspaper broke it)

4.) 19 May 2015 22:16:20
i don't think it was the newspapers that broke the story it was on various blogs long before

5.) 19 May 2015 22:36:40
jfr said it before they are running scared at the thought of us coming up and this just proves it

6.) 20 May 2015 09:12:58
Lol come on bears if the shoe was on the other foot u lot would be thesame any chance for a dig at or greatest rivals is not to be missed we all know this so why pretend otherwise and dk has beendone for tax crimes and on the board when white took u under so let's not kid on if that was us you would be giving it large aswell and the thought of running scared no don't think so if u never had soo much sh!t to do before u buy a team I might think 3 years they might b bk but be realistic guys ok 5 years it will take for u to challenge for the league and get over the fact we love to hate each other hail hail oh ed039 hindsight is a wonderful thing let's u b vocal and say we told u so lol

7.) 21 May 2015 21:20:36
Your right matelot most fans did Bury their heads in the sand , but the point I am making is that I did not hear much criticism towards the SFA for passing these individuals as fit and proper to run Rangers.

Walter shouldn't walk away.
If he has concerns he should report them to the financial authorities in the first instance.
By walking away and saying nothing he forgoes the responsibility he has as a board member to flag up any abuses or concerns he is aware of.
Fans are currently afraid that they are not being told the truth and this is at the heart of the current movement among many to buy shares themselves.

I think the revelations which will emerge around SDM will have more to do with his foreknowledge of Craig Whyte's intentions.
SDM wanted rid and so holding on to the assets would not have fitted in with that strategy.
He would have known that the only people interested in buying Rangers would have been people of Whyte's ilk.
I think he, allegedly, may even have recruited him for the purpose and provided him with ideas/contacts as to how he could proceed (e. g. Ticketus)

The good thing about DK is that he is very business savvy, in particular when it comes to making sure that Ashley and co do not get one over on him.

The other thing is that it seems that he does have Rangers interests at heart as was seen when he put the £20 million in previously.

There will always be a natural Rangers support.
The money men are just taking advantage of our gullibility.
We need to stay alive so that we can put Celtic in their place

Highland bear.
You certainly have a point when you talk about the difficulty in deciphering some posts.
However I don't think Craig's post is ironic in the way you suggest.
Craig is speaking for a large number when he bemoans the state of affairs at our club.
When you consider those European days with Michael Mols and Ian Durrant, you realise how far we have fallen.
And this is not a new board. It is just a reincarnation of the one we have had for some time.

My apologies.
The first sentence of my post should finish with, "are correct".
