"Ryan Kent is close to agreeing a permanent deal with Rangers" according to BBC Sport transfer deadline day updates page.

Last night's choice for my telly viewing was between our game at Dens or catching up with the new season of The Walking Dead. Picked the game obviously but the whole 90 mins felt more like an out-take from TWD to be honest. Can't see this improving any time soon and we're going to be lucky to just be in 5th place after the next couple of games.

As for a new manager, can't see any ambitious and talented one wanting to touch us with a bargepole right now. Can see us ending with some "old boys club" appointment of someone who's been here before which isn't exactly moving us forward for the future.

Feel sorry for Murty who's stuck in the middle of this mess. He's clearly passionate about the club but also clearly never actually wanted the top job, and who can blame him.

Felt like turning over to watch the darts myself.

Agree about Murts. It's certainly not his fault that we're in this mess.

Seen some posts on here having a go at Murty some even calling him a twit a dud and some other insults. Graeme Murty didn't ask for any of this the man answered the call from the board and is stuck in a no win situation. A couple of games ago I was thinking we could give him till end of season I was wrong but c'mon guys leave the insults out.

he picked the team. made all the wrong substitutions so he has to shoulder some of the blame, his tactics and team selection are very naive and he should be nowhere near the dugout of a club the size of Rangers but that is the board or Mark Allens fault for not sorting this out sooner. At any club you play the best players, Holt, Windass, Mccrory and Wilson are certainly not the best players

Glad to see some on here being balanced enough to consider that David Moyes would be a good move for us. The predictable pelters will no doubt follow but, be honest guys, he's a highly respected (Scottish! ) coach who's managed at a far higher level than where we are at present or are likely to be for a while yet and his ill-fated reign at Man Utd wasn't entirely his fault was it?

As much as I agree that McInnes would be an obvious, easy target, do we really want someone and who has only managed the "best of the rest" in Scotland? Let's face it, Celtic (and I have no problem using their proper name unlike some on here who are basically disrespectful which just fuels the hatred between our clubs - what's wrong with just having the matchday rivalry and being civil in between? ) are miles ahead in Scotland while still lacking in the European context. Think I'd be happier handing whatever cash can be scraped up for players to Moyes who has at least worked at a far higher level than McInnes has (or probably ever will) .

Our next choice is critical, the new man must be shown patience but also must the British scene and Scottish game, for me David Moyes is the most experienced coach with a big club mentality, he wouldn't be overawed with his appointment, he has done well with Everton and for Sit Alex to vouch for him he must have something, I know his Dad still has season ticket at ibrox so don't see the Celtic connection as a probs, also good luck to Pedro as he was just out his depth as would other be, must be the right appointment now!

Actually a very good and balance post mate, sadly I think you are asking too much to ask your fellow supporters to call Celtic their actual name etc. They are too busy hiding behind their laptops as in the real world they will behave and call it what it is ofcourse.
That's apart from the usual bigot in a suit that Timalloy highlights in our forum and sadly we all know one, when they get together and you will know this more than me but when they are at their clubs (lodges) we know the terminology they really use.

3.) 27 Oct 2017 20:16:42
I thought Moyes would have been a decent choice for the Celtic job before they got Rodgers.

Celtic would have suited him more as they are obviously top dogs at the moment and he could practically be guaranteed trophies, with Rangers this would be a far tougher ask and he desperately needs success after his three previous jobs.

So, I doubt he would take on the job but if he did I would be happy enough.

dont come on a forum here and make a stupid presumption all rangers fans use that language and attend lodges rayman.

5.) 28 Oct 2017 08:03:37
@snell - that sums up the Celtic support in a nutshell, they are Always Offended, Never Ashamed. They think bigotry, sectarianism is a one way street forgetting there own supports failings.

6.) 28 Oct 2017 09:13:50
Moyes has failed at a higher level than Mcinnes that's true.

7.) 28 Oct 2017 09:16:39
And how do you refer to Rangers fans rayman? "Our friends across the city" perhaps.

8.) 28 Oct 2017 12:05:26
Jyf I call them rangers fans or current buns for fun, as u would call us tims I don't think either is offensive.
Onion jack I am not offended in the slightest I just think its sad it still goes on as I have heard it all my life, indeed my dad and 2 brothers are rangers fans and although they don't say it now they used to back in the day and its all I heard esp when u were winning.
I talking about the fans who think its ok to say and do in private (and I have heard it many times when they think i not in ear shot) what they would never say publicly.
In fact I regularly go to a local club which is predominately rangers men and and some of the stuff I hear beggars belief.
A question I would ask u mate, do you think your own supporters are holding your club back?

Am seriously hoping that the lack of media speculation on Moyes might mean that we're letting every man and his dog think it's McInnes we want while sneaking Moyes in under the radar. No disrespect to McInnes but we do need someone a level or two up from him as I feel he's peaked as a manager.
