at the agm dave king said lessons were learned over sale of mckay for pittance but he had to go so based on transfer rumours we will see if true to his word. . if rumours about Sunderland wanting to buy tav are true I think that he showed he is a decent player for us especially at the weekend . we've got to be asking 3 million plus based on english inflated prices.

Windass again went missing. maybe be better in the middle where he can't hide but again got to be asking at least 1.5. what worries me is no interest in the players we don't want to keep. here's hoping for a good transfer window because we aren't as bad as many may think.

i think we would be absl crazy to sell tav unless someone bids crazy money ie 2m+

i’ve been saying it for long enough he’s a good player and the type we need to keep to progress

ok defensively he can have off games but who doesn’t - as a modern fullback who can carry the ball put in crosses and score goals he puts opposition on back foot and a measure of how well he played on 30th was how little we saw of tierney

as a fullback himself hopefully murty recognises how big an asset tav can be to us - i’d sign him up on a new deal as teams will be sniffing about

2.) 01 Jan 2018 14:55:36
For me it’s all about the cost/ quality of a replacement. We would seriously struggle to replace him from the British market for £2m so unless we have a player lined up who is younger and can give the team the same as Tav does then it makes no sense, are any of the young boys ready for the first team at RWB I’d say no as we would have seen them around the squad by now. Tav is one who will be useful in an improving team and will benefit from getting more quality in central midfield/ defence.

3.) 01 Jan 2018 18:37:31
Tavernier is a decent wing back / right midfielder but he's not a great defender. I like him but if selling him meant we could sign a couple of players in January.

4.) 01 Jan 2018 22:29:06
Wish we hadn't sold Waghorn and I think Forrester may have been more effective in Kranjcars role in the 30th

5.) 02 Jan 2018 09:23:21
Forrester is not good enough. Has decent ability and pace, but a poor attitude

since it is a rumours page. rumour has it from a wee do I was at last night it's a 2 horse race. Terry butcher or Tommy Wright with graham murty staying in dugout as no2 getting primed for future . suggestions were put out there to the board that if big tel is brought back the passion he had as a player could be reignited and the board were shown archive footage of the big man to show them what the gers meant to him and they are going to interview him. as I said it's a rumours page and I'm passing on a rumour.

1.) 18 Dec 2017 20:15:38
OMG I fkn hope no

2.) 18 Dec 2017 20:31:04
Scrapping the barrel now loved the big man as a player but he's a joke of a manager. No chance that's happening.

3.) 18 Dec 2017 20:53:02
Game over then if that transpires.

4.) 19 Dec 2017 02:15:35
I understand you are posting what you’ve heard mate but as far as I’m concerned after butcher jumping on Sutton’s band wagon and slating rangers in commentary every time I watch them on BT sorts then he can do one. Loved him playing for us but after that not a chance for me

5.) 19 Dec 2017 02:17:55
Def wouldn’t want him but he tends to do well in Scotland it’s everytime he leaves he has a shocker. Still not for me

6.) 19 Dec 2017 02:28:55
How about Craig Levein?

7.) 19 Dec 2017 07:06:06
You've been on that special mulled wine, stay away as far as you can go
Craig levein 😭😭😭😭😭

Pena, herrera, candeias; how much for the 3 as a package deal do you think we would sell to Pedro for. we supposedly paid nearly 5 million for the 3 . I would take 3 to get rid.

gerscf

1.) 15 Dec 2017 15:29:02
Candeias is top assits in leauge so
We should get at least what we paif for him if not more i would sell and replace him with naismith who will add more goals

2.) 15 Dec 2017 16:29:18
Surely we'll give candeias till the end of the season. There's a half decent player there. Should we not continue to give the young players a chance? Can't imagine anyone will be in a rush to sign the Mexicans

3.) 15 Dec 2017 23:43:37
Well Pena is 27 and supposedly midfielders peak years are between 27 and 32, it’s well documented that he lost his way the last few years in South America so perhaps if he gets this year under his belt and begins to feel welcome and adapts to the culture we could certainly see his best football at Ibrox. He definitely has the potential, seems to get into great positions just lacking that cutting edge. Can tell he gets on well with the players. I can see him being a big player next season.

Sadly not seen enough of Herrera but the games I have seen him in he looks strong against the spl defenders he has faced and can hold the ball up and win free kicks as it seems they need to pull him down unfairly to win the ball wether played high or into feet. Could have a player there too. The fact that Kinky Miller for some reason is undroppable Herrera can’t get a run in the team so can’t settle and play his game. Always tossed in late on either when we need to hold onto a score line or we’re losing and hoping he will be able to change the game. Never be that type of player.

Candeias has been fantastic so far. He has been at big clubs in Europe and spent most of his career on loan at some half decent clubs in Spain, France, Germany and Turkey. He’s fit in straight away and always brave in the way he plays, direct and always looking to get in behind oppositions defence. His assists so far show that his football is effective. I’m positive Candeias has a lot to offer this team and also has a point to prove to his former parent clubs.

I believe these players were good signings and will prove that if they are either given next season/ time to adapt or given a chance to show what they can do with a run in the first team.

They all have a point to prove and being able to play in Europe with Rangers for the next few and probably last years of their careers will give them all their last chance show what they have been capable of all along. That alone is motivation enough for them to give their all for this club. The club that has given them one last chance to reach the top of their game and get recognition in the sport they have given their best years to.

Rangers is a family and similar players have came here before having had a hard time in the game looking to make their careers just like these guys and have became legends.

Big rant. I’m feeling the love.

4.) 16 Dec 2017 03:16:10
I'd take "quitsy's" on any cash owed for pena and herrera if their old clubs would take them back. Candieas has more about him and we could get more out of him. I'd give him until the end of the season.

5.) 16 Dec 2017 13:08:06
Wouldn't get rid of Candieas, look at his stats for the season, you're on the tonic if you'd sell him right now, not as if Dalcio or Nemane are hitting the same number's as Dani

02 Dec 2017 15:34:59
i know there is a lot of views on who should be the manager but what I know is it will not be anyone high profile that we might all want. we are in a stage where shopping in the past at high end stores is now not going to happen. whoever it is will not be an allrdyce. a gio or a deboer. we sadly can only afford the Tommy Wright's or the mclnness. s . what i do know is big eck was not a huge success until he came to us so there is hope in the guys we can afford.

gerscf

1.) 02 Dec 2017 19:18:49
How do you know we can’t afford to pay the compensation for guys under contact DK has as good as said we will be paying for someone who is under contract

2.) 02 Dec 2017 22:06:08
I'm not saying we can't pay the compensation to get a manager I'm saying we can't afford the salarys of the top notch managers out there. if you read the rangers accounts they are not a good read. resolution 11 at the agm was a must for us . we simply cannot afford it at this present time. i believe we should leave murty in place till we see how much resolution 11 raises then go shopping .

3.) 03 Dec 2017 12:02:50
gerscf, the accounts might not be a good read but rangers are not skint and don’t need to worry about paying compo, haha at the amount of utter tosh that gets posted!

25 Nov 2017 13:42:48
mark Allan where are you hiding . you should be the one stepping in to manger s dugout until you decide who the manger is going to be. putting it on murty whilst you hide is just wrong. i'm hearing you are the man deciding the manager not dave king so where are you. you are director of football so start making some footb all decisions . the line up last night after accies defeat was way off. players should have been dropped after last week and you should have been the man to do it.

gerscf

1.) 25 Nov 2017 14:49:44
I can tell you this much, he won't read your post.

2.) 25 Nov 2017 17:48:26
he certainly won't read it. he should however have stepped up to assist the guy they have thrown under the bus.

3.) 25 Nov 2017 19:34:39
Well said. Very SA very absent - in person and any comms on process. Poor.

4.) 26 Nov 2017 10:18:35
C'mon, you're not going to put Mark Allan in charge of coaching the first team. I'm sure he's involved behind the scenes in the areas he's employed to be.

Where I do agree is communication from ibrox is terrible

5.) 26 Nov 2017 10:23:52
I do feel sorry for Murty. He has been left hanging out there and the pressure is showing.

Reminds me now of when McDowell took over from mccoist. Didn't want to be there.

I hope there are serious answers at AGM.

18 Nov 2017 18:37:24
I'm sticking with my first choice . Tommy Wright is the guy I believe we need. whoever it is it will be before Thursdays agm or the votes could see some directors out on there ear .

gerscf

1.) 18 Nov 2017 18:47:49
Tommy Wright isn’t good enough for rangers don’t care he’s done a decent job for St Johnstone we should be aiming higher than him

24 Sep 2017 19:20:06
I've hoped that Pedro could do the job and gave him time but it's not happening. looking at his signings he could have had berra instead of cardoso. McLean instead of Pena . moult instead of herrera . naismith instead of candeias and both Beerman and aktayi are better than dalcio so he wasn't needed. we could have spent half of what we payed and got better players so overall it's been a failure . do we sack him . who would buy the players he signed . overall we could be back to square one or do we somehow hope they are better than they are showing and suddenly come good. I would like to here our chairman's thoughts on this.

gerscf

1.) 24 Sep 2017 19:47:38
We're not a bad team just not as good as Celtic just now. Crack on with it, add 3 or 4 quality 1st team starters and we'll be in a better position to challange. Some of the signings have been good I think and Not every signing is going to set the heather alight, have we not figured this out yet.

2.) 24 Sep 2017 20:02:36
Pappy

We are awful and don't even come close to competing with them. We are scared of them and no one is prepared to put a tackle in. Team full of players with no heart who give up too easily

3.) 24 Sep 2017 20:18:44
Awful compared to what? The Smith/ Advocaat era, Yes. The other 10 teams in the spfl, no. i'm excluding celtic there by the way. The no heart thing always comes up when your not as good as your loathed rivals. i'm not saying we're great, but a few good additions and we'd see a huge difference. Keep calm and play on. We've been on top before and it'll happen again. And when does happen it'll be the sweetest league victory for a generation.

4.) 24 Sep 2017 20:29:11
Pappy, we figured out a while ago that some of the signings are barry white. that's why we are 5th in the league😩

5.) 24 Sep 2017 20:59:47
Pappy, we are not as good as them and we are not as good as Progress, the team are failing at every challenge put in front of them, something has to be done now, why are we waiting? Give me an honest answer, how many of that team and management are good enough for Rangers?

6.) 24 Sep 2017 22:40:27
It's tough to watch at the moment we are some way behind, but we just need to keep building gradually we cannot sign 5/ 6 million pound players so sometimes they don't come off, Morelos looks a really good buy, Jack similar . There are no guarantees some work others don't.

We cannot simply keep sacking managers and scrapping playing squads, hopefully certain players will come good once they have become fully accustomed to their surroundings and the league they are playing in. let's see where we are at the end of the season.

7.) 24 Sep 2017 22:43:17
He’s signed 10 players pappy and u are saying another 4 quality players and we can challenge? what about the ones he has brought in are they quality? he's not good enough simple as that.

8.) 24 Sep 2017 23:03:19
Get rid of Windass can't have a Rangers player laughing and joking with the opposition after a game let alone an old firm game.

9.) 24 Sep 2017 23:11:36
Pappy,

The team are just awful not sure what you don't understand about that?

10.) 25 Sep 2017 06:41:11
We had to re vamp an entire squad for under 10 mil. I'd say 6 signings are looking decent so far and the 2 mexicans might come good. If we have a decent foundation, which I believe we have esp in commparison to the last 5 years, then of course during the next transfer window i'd like to see another 10 mil spent on 3 or 4 quality signings rather than clear out and spend that money on a whole new squad and manegment team. If he gets that money and we're not competing then it'll be time for a change.

Russell Martin 75 percent of games at Norwich have been right back. I remember being at Carrow rd and they were all signing a song about him being the white cafu. similar to ours about hutton. he is a defensive right back totally agree he won't be attacking. Norwich captain so don't know if they would let him go anyway

russel martin is a defensive right back who can play ch so it would be tavs. it would allow tab to move forward but it's looking like tavanier is leaving.

why do people continue to hit the disagree button when a fan genuinely says it like it is we are skint. not bankrupt but have little money. too many fans refusing to accept this . we need big investment or the rubbish will continue.

100 per cent true. I have dealt with people around Graham park and Pedro Mendes is a very good friend of his. he pushed this through. he tried before the bread man was given the job bit failed but got his man this time. I'm to believe the parks put up the money for Pedro's compensation to Qatar club to prove there confidence in this.
