To be honest I have never heard of this lad Sadiq and from what I have read! There is mixed feelings for me. If he goes down too easy as stated in other reports then he will get torn apart in this tough tackling league. I understand he is tall and is supposed to be a top prospect for the future. I still think we need experience up top to teach these young lads how to finish and how to perform at the top level and in front of the huge crowds/ fan base they are not used too. I rate Morelos very highly and believe he could be the answer under Gerrard.

I think about a lot of top players that have signed and not really lived up to their expectations I. E Flo etci trust Gerrard has done his homework and I will back him nd his judgment all day.

After listening to some negativity towards Ejaria on here and at Ibrox I decided to watch the Maribor game again this morning. I personally think he's a very good player so I watched the game to analyse his performance. He had an excellent game and put in a massive shift. He stopped Maribor getting forward on numerous occasions causing them to play the ball backwards well over 30 times with his press. Got the Gers up the park several times with good accurate passing creating opportunities for others and was at the heart of the move that led to Halliday chalked off goal. Defensive headers from corners were very good. Passing accuracy was very high. I only seen him give the ball away twice the whole game. Replaced by Kent mid second half as SG seen more chances coming our way as Maribor had to take risks. Got slated by Alex Rae in commentary for his effort to get out of a tight situation with Alex saying stepovers are not exceptable at this level. What a stupid thing to say. I'm sure his comments led to some of the criticism that came the lads way. He was actually fouled at the time and should have won a free kick for his efforts. Over all he played a really good game with a very mature performance for one so young away from home in Europe and I'm sure SG was delighted with him. Well done Ovie Ejaria keep up the good work and you will stay in the team on merit and not because Klopp says so. 😉.

I agree with you but I also agree there is a time and place for fancy stuff, probably not under pressure deep in your own half.
I do like the lad, but (probably with his age), he has a moment of madness in him, good thing now though is he can rely on his team mates to get his back.

I think he's a decent player but is lacking experience. He seems to work too hard but my concern is whether he can stand up when things aren't going well. Although he's got players around him who won't be fazed so that'll help. If there is some clause regarding his playing time then that would disappoint me as a player can't have that freedom.

Want to know how good Ejaria is? Want to know why he's in the team? Record a game and follow him. Watch his movement his running his passing. His work ethic is massive always trying to stop the opponent from progressing up the park. Someone said he constantly gives the ball away. Naw he constantly keeps it. A Graeme Souness type and quite obviously a Gerrard type. Ryan Jack have the ball away more often in Maribor. Scott Arfield gave it away more at Killie. Gerrard has given him a role to play and he is doing it to the letter.
