If anything is evident on tonights showing it's that we need defenders as teams with speed will hurt us both through the middle and round the flanks...it could have been more ...we're not ready yet

1.) 22 Sep 2015 22:35:27
Said weeks ago we needed a big target man, a hately or prso

2.) 23 Sep 2015 09:43:38
We definitely need a leader at the back. Neither Wilson or Kiernan seemed capable of taking control and organising the defence. Both lads would be decent with someone like Weir beside them.

Another issue for me was Zelalem. I couldn't figure out what he contributed to the midfield. Offered very little in attack and too lightweight when we aren't in possession. He stood in the same spot practically the full game.

3.) 23 Sep 2015 17:11:10
The boy is only 18, he nearly scored a belter. he's still learning his craft. heads up bears, we will get there,, but it will take time, at least 3 or 4 transfer windows

4.) 23 Sep 2015 19:41:09
True, and he'll be a quality player in future, but a boy his size will get in the middle of the park in our physical leagues. He needs to push into the box and be more of an attacking threat if he's to be useful nex season. Can see now why we were looking at Eustice. Need a strong holding midfielder.

5.) 23 Sep 2015 22:35:00
Sorry must have took too much crack there... useful meant this season.

6.) 24 Sep 2015 00:22:40
Without sounding negative, as things are going good, if you look at the whole first 11, everyone of them has a position on the park to stay i.e full backs attack & the 2 cb cover each flank, the 3 forwards swap positions etc so you can't critise zelalem he's in that position due to the gaffers orders.

it's worked for all games he's played apart from the other night, hibs & st mirren games we carried our luck, both these teams created chances playing through the middle and missed sitters, st johstone took there chances & countered the gers system effortlessly as much as I like the attacking style, need to be more defensely aware, when going forward. Let's not expect too much to soon, let's get back to another win streak

Any more news about Haris Vuckic or Stevie May signing

allyf

1.) 21 Jul 2015 12:35:04
Not likely to sign any of them .

2.) 21 Jul 2015 12:44:29
MW can't be interested in Vuckic as you would have expected that to be one of the 1st deals to go through.

Stevie May is not good enough for Rangers.

Get Scott Allan and i'd be happy to run with that squad. The strikers we have will score goals no problem with a bit of creativity in midfield. Something we have lacked for years.

3.) 21 Jul 2015 12:56:16
think both deals non goers

4.) 21 Jul 2015 13:30:16
May is one of the best scottish strikers we'd have one of the top strikers in the country if he came.

5.) 21 Jul 2015 13:32:21
None of the pair will be at Inbox!

First, Vuckic would be on around 10k a week so we haven't gone in with any bid whatsoever! Way out of our budget just now

Stevie May, is a different situation, he has twisted his hand to prove himself this year that he is better than last season in the Championship so wants to stay with Sheff Wed for the foreseeable future!

6.) 21 Jul 2015 16:12:44
If we don't get may I would rather see billy McKay than hairs vuckic

Has there been anything more said about signing Emerson Hyndman?

Motherwell beat the sheep 3-0. I wonder if the Daily Rebel or others in the media will be making headlines saying 'manager crisis at Pittodrie' or 'McInnes' jobs on the line' the way they do if we slip up when they're lining Pedro up for the snipers if we drop points. See big Moult bagged 2 as well - he needs to be captured by us at next window along with Walker.

1.) 22 Sep 2017 10:26:09
Couldn't agree more Ally. Think is even Rangers fans gobble that nonsense up and turn on him.

2.) 22 Sep 2017 11:35:43
I think one reason Pedro gets extra criticism is because of the extra expectation that comes with having spent so much and having such a large budget, compared to the opposition. Guys like McInnes are operating on a shoestring budget compared to Rangers. Any Rangers manager worth their salt should easily beat any of the opposing teams into second place at least. Time will tell.

3.) 23 Sep 2017 11:46:34
The difference is that we're Rangers and there Aberdeen that's why its big news when it happens to us. nobody cares when it happens to them

02 Sep 2017 16:44:46
Joe Dodoo on the scoresheet today.

allyf

1.) 02 Sep 2017 18:20:08
Hahahaha was it any surprise that a player we let out on loan scores. Jesus, what's it all about.

2.) 02 Sep 2017 19:34:38
What's it all about fod? Can you really not figure it out? These llayers had plenty opportunities to prove themselves last season and they failed. Now they go to a lesser team and do ok. You really can't figure it out?

3.) 02 Sep 2017 19:37:17
Young Rangers loan player scores for third division side! What a shocker, eh? Why did we let him go? He's no Messi, he's the messiah! Gie's a brek.

4.) 02 Sep 2017 19:48:14
Bigsam

He is no Messi? So because he is not Messi then we should have let him go? If that was the criteria for getting rid of players how many players do you think we would have left? Why get rid of a striker when we aren't exactly blessed with strikers?

5.) 02 Sep 2017 21:04:16
We didn't get rid of him. We loaned him to get him the game time he obviously needs. Think its called player development! The same folk on here moaning about it would undoubtedly be calling for Pedros head had he played him and he didn't perform :)

6.) 03 Sep 2017 00:34:20
Common sense

Sorry but you are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think Dodoo was sent out on loan for player development. He was sent out on loan to get rid of him. The manager clearly didn't fancy him and that's why he was nowhere near the squad this season.

7.) 03 Sep 2017 09:59:26
Mikeger are you knew here? You read my posts before. Honestly. Like I have said before its not that these players are bad far from it and the english championship is a far better league that scotland and that's where most of them have been scoring for fun. Its the fact that they have managers who believe in them and want them there. PC doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of thses guys and that's why he will be away by christmas.

8.) 03 Sep 2017 10:18:34
the championship teams don't park the bus like teams do against us, that's how they are scoring. r u saying peds doesn't have faith in the players he selects? the same players u are talking about weren't played by the breadman and he brought them in. wake up and smell the coffee

9.) 03 Sep 2017 15:23:18
Sparky1320, I take it you don't get irony then?

10.) 03 Sep 2017 16:38:48
Absolute nonsense from you fod as usual. You're the most negative person on this site. So much so that I'm not convinced you're not Celtic fan on the wind up

11.) 03 Sep 2017 17:48:17
Think people need to remember Pedro Caixinha hasn't got an issue with Joe Dodoo scoring goals. it's his overall game he wants to see improve. I recall him saying he needed to be more aggressive to handle the physicality of the Scottish game and train harder every day. His technique in front of goal is unquestionable. Every goal he scored in his short appearance minutes are raspers.

12.) 03 Sep 2017 19:13:06
thats a fair observation to make too. always looked as if he was backing out or scared for me. doesn't fit at all with being a rangers player, but definitely young enough to learn!

13.) 04 Sep 2017 10:12:37
If he was good enough he'd still be at ibrox. People forgot that us fans don't see them training everyday and don't know the players like the manager and coaches do. There paid to decide who good enough and who isn't. So just because he's scored for charlton doesn't change the fact he's maybe not good enough for rangers, and same for waghorn and garner, had there chances and failed at all level.

Is there any further news regarding Stevie May Haris Vuckic and Scott Allan

allyf

1.) 20 Jul 2015 13:22:28
Stevie May doesn't want to come back to Scotland, Warburton seems to have no Interest in Vuckic, and Scott Allan wants to stay at hibs until next summer before hopefully going down south.

Certainly hope it's not Davis it's such a backward step plus he's absolutely gash. Those on the board need shot for appointing an unknown unproven person like Pedro in the first place especially after Warburton with the Joey debacle. From day one Pedro was been cannon fodder for arseholes like Chris Shatton to snipe away at us. plus the Scottish 'unbiased' media. this ex Dhim pundit who sounds like he suffers from uncontrollable piles or constipation when he speaks suddenly finds projectile verbal dihorrea when he addresses anything Rangers. For me. for a new manager it's got to be closer to home and somebody who understands the SPL so it has to be somebody like Tommy Wright or Murty/ Miller which I know I'll get shot down for on this site but we don't have any money. we can't afford the other names being bandied about. Feck knows what team well put out on Sat against the Jambos but with injuries and suspensions it doesn't look good. its a mess and for us Rangers fans we've suffered enough. plus hearing all the unwashed comments about us being cheats over EBTs it's like open season. and hard to take. wtf is Ryan Jack upto as well getting involved in stuff any Rangers player should walk away from. its embarrassing from players who are dyed in the wool Rangers supporters. we've had The media daily rebel BBC et all and refs (Im thinking about Hibs game Motherwell and last night where we should've had more protection from officials) it just looks like we're playing into all these people's hands and making it hard for ourselves. the next appointment needs to be home based and no more moles in the dressing room everybody should be behind our team. if were ever going to go forward again. let's get Miller Wallace and Krancjar back onside as we need to be a tough unit. i'm really pissed off from the last couple of years embarrassments. We are a team with high standards and world records. let's get back to these high standards again please. sensible decisions from the board this time please. We are Glasgow Rangers so let's all be united as Rangers fans
