We should give Aribo what he’s looking for, think this young lad could definitely do a job for us. looks the part, big, strong. a proper ball winner, something we’ve lacked for a good few years now.

Only seen joe aribo now and again,
but he does look an imposing midfielder. He's big, strong, athletic and can score goals. With what i've seen of him so far and if he can kick on and improve under gerrard further, then i honestly think he could be a right good player for us!
An absolute bargain at a paltry cross border fee, of around 300k.

Mate am pi***d of as well but come on we can't keep sacking managers. We need to give someone a good crack at it, changing managers every season isn't going to help us and at the end of the day a goal down with 11 on the park is salvagable if you want to be angry with anyone it's the we w**k that got sent off, get him take f**k and don't play him again.

Been saying it for months, Gerrard has to go, after another shambles tonight, and it was a shambles. are we all finally going to wake up and realise that rangers are not a team for managers to cut their teeth on. I don’t care how big his name is, what has he brought with that name. Loan players who are never ever ever going to get a game with their parent club, the mhanks have brought in loan players worth over £30 million and all have big futures in the game.

this is what our so called manager was supposed to bring with his ‘name’. Sack him tonight, and let the under 21’s finish the season, make Morelos honour his contract and tell him he’s going nowhere. we are rangers. bigger than any one man and it’s time these players realise that. Leaving Ibrox tonight frozen cold and soaking wet, I’d much rather watch our under 21’s play with heart and desire than this mob of charlatans. We bottled it tonight, they knew then mhanks were sitting waiting and they shat it! Let’s go get rid of the scouser who clearly is way out of his depth! Looks like he’s lost the dressing room!

Look on the bright side, at least You won’t have to suffer a defeat to the champs in the cup semi 👌.

Don’t think getting rid of Gerrard is the answer right now. We can’t just keep getting rid of managers every time when things are not going as well as a lot of people want. Think we need some serious investment into the club so we can buy players instead of getting loan players all the time. Yes it’s dissapointing times just now, but we are supporters to support the team through thick and thin. There will be quite a different team next season so think Gerrard needs to be given till Christmas at least. Next season there probably won’t be Worral, Defoe, Davis, Morelos. Also not sure if Kent will sign, not sure if Barasic and Tavarnier will still be there. Not sure any other manager would do better with the players we have.

5.) 13 Mar 2019 04:09:44
Get a grip sack the manager that's what we need more turnaround.

6.) 13 Mar 2019 07:16:15
He needs more time but I don't think he gets how physical the league is. Why not try 442 or 4 1 4 1. I think we are often out numbered in midfield. All the midfield goals left with Windass I'm afraid. He was surely better than Kamara, Grezda etc.

Reading all of the comments about Gerard and I finally thought I should have my 2 cents worth. I can appreciate the fact that he was a big gamble and can see where the board were trying to do when they appointed him, I never thought it was a good idea or ever going to work out, we’ve given the biggest transfer budget we’ve had in 6 or 7 years to a manager who has never properly managed, who has yet to prove any tactical awareness, who can’t seem to get his players to do as he asks. he said the other day we lacked leaders on the park, the way i see it is that comes from the very top, we lack leadership from the management down. If he can’t control Morelos and get him to stay on the park, if he can’t get his team to play the way he wants them to play, if he makes stupid decisions like playing Dafoe on his own when his whole career he’s been a striker that plays off someone up front with him, if he takes 80 minutes to make subs that we can clearly see need to be made as early as 40 mins into the game, if he makes the wrong selection, wrong formation choices, changes a winning team to accommodate 2 hasbeens that haven’t kicked a ball for months, if he can’t attract players that are actually hungry and filled with desire or players that are stars of the future ( the mhanks in last transfer window totally outplayed us) were signing loan players who clubs are trying to get off the wage bill, they sign players who clubs see have a big future and just want the experience of playing proper first team football before recalling them to play for the first team. exactly what is Stevie G bringing to the table? We are 2 points better off than this time last season. 2 points! We need a leader in the dressing room, a leader that talks and the team listen. a leader that makes changes to personal and formation when he sees something isn’t working, a leader that builds confidence and nurtures talent, not destroy it. Katic, Middleton, Barasic . the list goes on. What player has he improved? Halliday? I’m not Hallidays biggest fan, but I think Halliday would run through brick walls just because he gets to pull on that famous blue shirt. I don’t know who the answer is, but I can’t see Gerard improving anytime soon, we are Rangers, since when were we a team to let a rookie manager cut his teeth in one of the most important parts of our history. Souness I know was a rookie, but he had Murray’s millions to bank roll him and the English were banned from Europe so easy to persuade big English players here. butcher woods etc. sorry for the rant lads, just fed up with all this Stevie G being our saviour, tactically inept, out of his depth and I’m so sick and tired of his platitudes. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong in time, but 10 in a row and quadruple treble, 5 trebles in a row however many. we are not at the races and we won’t be with a manager who can’t see the woods for the trees.

Ok Trueblue2003, your most definitely entitled to your opinion mate. I'm from the other side of the fence regarding steven gerrard, as i truly think given another couple of transfer windows, we will under him, be a force to be reckoned with again! You do make some very good points and of course gerrard was going to make mistakes along the way. Its how he learns from them, that will define his tenure, as rangers manager. I firmly believe he's astute enough and clever enough to learn from them and become a very good rangers manager! The main problem as a supporter going to see rangers just now is, that he has to establish his best 11 and play them barring injury or drastic loss of form, week in week out! He's still searching for his best starting 11,as far as i'm concerned! Only my opinion but i 100% believe steven gerrard will get it right as our manager. Of course it was a gamble by our directors, to appoint a young coach with no previous managerial experience, but it will still be a masterstroke appointment IMO! It is a big rebuilding job and brick by brick, i think gerrard is the man to take us back to the top! I stand to be proven wrong, over time.

2.) 19 Feb 2019 07:22:22
Supercoop, I think we all know the best starting 11, the problem is the manager has a habit of not starting with it.

3.) 19 Feb 2019 07:36:14
In the 'old' days you used to play your best, in-form 11 players and had consistency. Yes, you need a squad to cover for injuries and suspensions but not to tinker with the team every game. If we had a run of playing:
McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Katic, Barisic; Jack, McCrorie, Arfield; Kent, Morelos, Defoe, we might achieve a run. We don't seem to be able to put a run together and tinkering with the team is the problem.

{Ed039's Note - Your “in form” players include Defoe and no right midfielder?)

4.) 19 Feb 2019 08:05:35
Good catch Ed, should be Candieas for Defoe.

{Ed039's Note - no problem with anyone suggesting 442 but our best side doesn’t include defoe at the moment - quality player he is)

5.) 19 Feb 2019 08:37:16
Totally agree with Ed and bankie. We know the best 11 and for reasons best known to himself, gerrard fails to see it and likes to tinker👍.

6.) 19 Feb 2019 11:37:31
The type of game we plaY AND WE ARE GOOD AT IS THE ONE LIKE THE cELTIC GAME.
uNFORTUANATELY FOR ME - THIS MEANS PLAYERS ARE BURNT OUT VERY QUICKLY IF WE HAVE 3 OR 4 GAMES IN QUICK SUCCESSION. SO WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE / ROTATE, BUT IN SOME CASES THE CHANGES WE HAVE HAD RECENTLY HAVE ONLY UPSET THE RHYTHM OF THE TEAM and IN SOME CASES E. G. WORRELL FOR kATIC SEEMS ODD?

7.) 19 Feb 2019 13:16:42
Another typical post from the exclamation mark. Super truly thinks this, firmly believes that and even 100% believes the other. Given that his opinion is superior to everyone else's, no need to worry.

8.) 19 Feb 2019 14:25:19
He was 100% certain and truly believed that warbs and pedro would be the best there ever was, infact warbs was getting the england job if I remember correctly, prob just one of his hilarious wind ups tho👍.
