Predictions for match day? I'm going for 2-0. Expect a clean sheet as I feel our defensive frailties are exaggerated. Goal scorers being Miller and Wallace. What will be the score and who will score in your opinion?

Danny Wilson is solid and has been forced to play along side RK who is clearly our worst player. Not to mention no CDM last season and the only time we have looked weak is when RK and tav play together. We have played 4 friendlies and everyone thinks they can judge if the gaffer is happy I'm more than happy.

Who is your current Favourite Ranger and who is your all time favourite Ranger and why?
For me currently my favourite player is McKay because he's a class act and can do anything and my all time favourite Ranger is super Ally because no one will pass his scoring record.

Lee Wallace as he could have walked and has done a good job since arriving.
In 36 years of supporting the club, my favourite player has to be Davie Cooper, who was just class.

Current favourite player is our captain Lee Wallace. Always delivers, didn't walk when the rest did and is everything you expeact in a Rangers captian
Super Ally McCoist think how much money he would cost if he was playing now? Took more greaf and worked under worse conditions than any manager in our history.

Yeah but craig whyte and charles green. He had no chance to actually build a positive atmosphere since the club was in consistent turmoil at the time. We don't really know what was going in the background but it wasn't good. Ally gets the benefit of the doubt for me, for the fact his is a Rangers legend and and fan and no one can deny that.

McKay and Davie Cooper lots of people say Laudrup and Gazza but I was at a match the Dryborough Cup game v Celtic and nobody before or in future will do what Coop did with the ball for THAT goal at the game it was that far away and over that quickly most people that saw it thought they were exaggerating describing it then years later seeing that amateur video you saw the pure genius that was Coop
Great person too and the best penalty taker ever.

Biffo mate, they said favourite player, not manager. Super ally is a legend. Quality player. Not the greatest manager but he did a job not many others would do and under unworkable conditions. Remember he had no support, scouting etc was a joke. Frank McP doing the heavy lifting for MW. Cut Super Ally some slack. He loves this club just like us.

Wasn't a great manager and the football was terrible but like I said worked under the worse working conditions than any manager in our history . If you can name me a better Rangers striker I would love to here this?

I feel players like Tav and Waghorn are over rated. I think Rossiter and Crooks are our best signings this summer and Crooks would feature in defence over Hill of we don't sign a centre back. Barton and kranjcar in particular are currently lacking fitness and I don't believe that Niko currently has the legs to oust the likes of Windass and Holt for that position. For me Rossiter is the best signing we have made in decades when you consider it was for £250k. Hodson makes the defence look a lot more solid and has really impressed me considering Tav can't defend. Good time to be a Ranger.

I think hodson is a better fullback than tavernier but I think tavernier will start on saturday I also wouldn't be surprised if it's the same back 4 from last season like you say I wouldn't start barton are kranjcar because of lack of fitness. Rossiter has to start. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same front 3 from last season. I personally don't think miller should be near first 11.

Dodoo and MOH on for Waggy and Windass after the hour.
This would be my 11 v a good team. Against a lesser team Niko would be in instead of Halliday, a just feel a midfield of Barton, Rossiter and Haliday would boss any midfield in the country. Niko is a great weapon to have but until he's fit he's a luxury in the big games. When he's fit he's in in front of Haliday for me. A feel sorry for Holt and Forrester but a can't see them starting many this year. They both needed a great pre season and unfortunately none of them have.
I like Hodson but anyone starting him over Tav needs their head seen to after the amount of goals and assists he contributed last year. Take his stats out our team last year and we wouldn't have won the league, simple.

Many people disagree without actually telling me why usual then. Who would you rather start? Haliday Kranjcar Barton like we did on Saturday providing literally no drive or pace in midfield. We have 3 cb's and RK is notoriously the worst of the bunch. Tav can't defend for shit let's not pretend that he can in comparison to Hodson who actually looks a defender. Miller won't cut it this season. Waghorn has had one good season against nobody's and as usual goes missing in big games (Burnley on Saturday) . I didn't say who would start on saturday I said who do you think or best eleven is and for me currently this is our best eleven and to justify otherwise would be interesting for me to read but as usual people just down vote if you say anything negative. I don't know how Haliday gets any where near your eleven with our current squad.

I agree rositter was an excellent capture, I don't however get why people are hailing crooks before the guy has even kicked a ball for us.
Halliday is decent and you can't fault his effort, personally think you're being bit harsh on him.
I hope your wrong about waghorn as if he struggles then I think we will. Don't see any of our other strikers threatening the 20 goal Mark.
Let's also hope tav has been working on the defensive side of his game. He needs to.

FODS - doesn't deserved dropped.
TAV - Defensively poor but crucial to our dynamic and forward play.
WILSON - Best of bad bunch
HILL - Communication vital and dropping him after poor game could ruin his whole season
WALLACE - Captain
BARTON - Best passer and CDM
ROSSITER - His box to box energy.
WINDASS - if fit or Halliday.
WAGHORN - can't figure out why people are dropping him he's our top scorer! Links up well with Tav.
MCKAY - Crucial to our play and link up with Wallace
MILLER - He has been off the boil (to say the least) but I do not see Dodoo/ Windass/ Waggy as a out and out striker and this shows we need one. Also Miller knows the opposition better than others.

Got to disagree when you say waghorn is over rated. No one is saying the boy is world class. However he did score 28 goals last season aswell as being out injured so give him a chance at least. Sure it wasn't the premier league so we can maybe judge him on this season.

The move makes sense but if true why wouldn't we have signed him by now? Getting bored of being linked with everyone I can't see it being true based solely on the fact I feel he would have been in the door by now if we wanted him.

About 9 or 10 of his over all appearances its hard to define because he has played a few games in both. That's why we want him he's solid in both areas and definately can play at centre back, started to show composure on the ball especially against c*****c would be a priority if we could get him but I don't think he wants to move here permanently he's going on to bigger things.

Nobody knows? I watched him for six months last season how would I not know how good he is? I don't think Waghorn will break 15 goals this season. You are commenting on preseason games like they matter we have made nine signings for god sake. Usual over rating the fan favourites like Waghorn while under playing the defence is Waghorn any better than Wilson at his position? No. He scored against nobodies and always goes missing when it matters I hate the fact that people value him so highly he's as unproven as Dodoo. scores 15 penalties against nobodies and you put him on a pedestal.

It's our first year back in the top flight. MW moved and made nine signings fairly quickly he obviously is struggling if people aren't in yet. We will never sign an out and out striker he has to be able to rotate across the front three. Defensive frailties are a little exaggerated Wilson is solid and worse case scenario we have Crooks who is real quality.
Dodoo is more of a striker than any other player we have outwith Miller. Mariappa is a step up in quality and rightfully demands such a fee and if we can't afford it what can we do? Kidnap him force him up to Scotland and torture him till he puts pen to paper? King is spending millions just not on signings we are running at an operating loss of like 5m a year who do you think is covering that? "two good investments" yeah easily said than done moron the scouting system has clearly improved significantly over the last year it's completely stupid to suggest that if there were two signings we could invest in that we wouldn't have already.
I'm all for criticising the team. Waghorn is over rated as is Haliday. Tav can't defend RK is a disaster. Miller won't cut it this season. We over paid for O'Halleron considering we could have signed him now for much less. Kranjcar is completely off the mark in terms of fitness and won't cut it against better oppositions. Rossiter and Crooks are our best signings. Barton will make a big impact.
