Hearing that a deal with under armour to be the new kit supplier to be announced by the end of April

Rangers1993

1.) 28 Mar 2018 22:50:15
Again rangers1993, no reason to doubt you mate! How good do you rate your source mate? Is your source 100% confident that under armour will be our new kit manufacturers and that all will be announced in april?

2.) 28 Mar 2018 23:32:06
Based on what?
That's Adidas Under Armour and Puma all in 2 days

We need more than that?

3.) 31 Mar 2018 00:49:23
Silva is unattached to any club so you never know. He might see Gers as a project worth buying into.

Hearing that dave king has already made up his mind and that warburton and weir will not be in charge next season regardless of league position this season. King a d the board have begun drawing up a list of potential replacements for next season

Rangers1993

1.) 03 Feb 2017 10:19:11
My taxi driver said the exact same thing.

2.) 03 Feb 2017 10:34:34
No point changing a manager if you are not going to seriously fund him with bigger budget

3.) 03 Feb 2017 11:03:32
Lampard has retired has no one met his dad at McDonald's and told reliably that he will be next manager lol. Seriously though warburton needs to go now so new management team can assess current squad and plan for next season, personally I would love the De Boers but to be honest I just want a manager who watches the game and who makes changes to personal and formation when required.

4.) 03 Feb 2017 11:14:07
Who would want the job with no money to spend?

5.) 03 Feb 2017 12:03:36
How much is it going to cost to replace them, and where is the money going to come from.

6.) 03 Feb 2017 12:18:05
Will people stop going on about having no money! No one from Rangers has actually said we have no money! We just spent money in the transfer window.

7.) 03 Feb 2017 12:30:43
Scotsscotish you are right. Warbuton and weir are away if next game at pitodrie and parkhead are defeats. De boer is top of the list and he has been approached, but I heard mcleish and Alex Rae til end of season that's why no new contracts are offered to McKay, Miller and hill

8.) 03 Feb 2017 12:49:11
scottscottish87, what do you need to happen - should DK put a huge banner across the pitch stating "Rangers FC loses £4m+ a year" That is to say, we already spend £4m a year more that we earn. to me that clearly states "we have no money"

Any money we spend over and above our income is provided by soft loans from friendly Directors and Shareholders

9.) 03 Feb 2017 13:29:59
No point changing a manager if u aren't going to fund him? Why? Just put up with shocking performance then? Just watch players going through the motions? Other than that other lot across the city there is no other club in scotland with cash to spend so why can't a manager come in and build a team of hard working players capable of delivering performance that we can be proud of! Ok without funding we won't match Celtic but that doesn't mean we should put up with dross week in week out

10.) 03 Feb 2017 14:08:27
We have no money to spend end off

11.) 03 Feb 2017 13:47:19
Scottscottish87, yeah you are right no one from the board has made a statement yet saying "we r skinto mate, looking at trading in Irn-bru bottles for some change"

Use your brain mate, we are skint. It's very simple to realise this.

12.) 03 Feb 2017 14:20:18
Need to stop the lampard talk as he would want multi millions to look good. Get a manager in that can work with what we've got and can add better players cheaply.

13.) 03 Feb 2017 16:08:06
Not for a minute am I saying we're going to god spend millions on players, nor am daft enough to think we are operating with profit, however to say we have NO money is far fetched. There will be a squad budget! My opinion is DK doesn't trust Warb, Weir an McP to spend whatever precious finance we do have

14.) 03 Feb 2017 16:08:06

15.) 03 Feb 2017 16:28:19
Why can't people get in there thick skulls you need to invest to get something back out. We need to invest in a title contender team yes it might take 2 year to do it might take 1 but as soon as we get the champions league we get the money back, our players become more valuable, we sell we buy. So stop saying we need to work with a 5 year plan we need instant return when and if we invest in team and manager. Champions league football pays itself for a football club

16.) 03 Feb 2017 16:51:00
I think i would make more sense for us to change manager as soon asap.
That way gives the new manager time to get settled in and find out if he wants to keep any of these players.

17.) 03 feb 2017 16:46:19
two words, 'billy davies'!

18.) 03 Feb 2017 16:55:54
Rangers will lose around £4 mill this year and if there is no european football next year they will lose at least the same amount again next season. If better players come in there are transfer fees, higher wages, more money for a new manager, infrastructure, better scouting etc. Rangers are going to need to rethink the entire business model. Its a busted flush

19.) 03 Feb 2017 17:12:48
thats what the guy down the chip shop said

{Ed033's Note - and he swears he's Elvis

20.) 03 Feb 2017 22:40:20
Not saying we're rolling in it but, if we have NO money how much are Hyndman and Toral being paid by Rangers? they must be on anything between 5-10k a week. Think we will get rid of around 5 players and those wages should be used on free transfers during summer.

Think we should BUY at least 2 decent players IF say we are given say 4million we must try and find a couple of gems on pre-contracts or get them in summer and there are good players available on frees just need to Paul decent wages

21.) 05 Feb 2017 02:56:42
Can anyone tell me what DeBoer prefers formation wise? What did he use mostly at last club?
Dunno who were going to bring in but for some reason I think it will be both DeBoers!

Stv stating that Red Bull are looking to take over Rangers. Would most likely mean the club would be know as "Red Bull Rangers" but with still seemingly financial uncertainty at the club I think if they did make an offer it would be in our best interests to accept it.

Rangers1993

1.) 26 Nov 2016 16:06:08
Club will be known as Rangers.

2.) 26 Nov 2016 16:54:25
never happen lads, there's no profit in scottish football for a company that size to invest.

3.) 26 Nov 2016 17:46:45
Kinda agree bhoywonder but Austria isn't the most commercially viable of leagues.

4.) 26 Nov 2016 19:03:02
There is money to be made if you are Red Bull and you can get the team into Europe but even with Rangers' Worldwide appeal I don't see it happening!

5.) 27 Nov 2016 12:23:17
I believe it could happen, maybe not this year but the closer celtic get to 10 in a row then the desperation could kick in. I know from the past that the thought of rangers doing 10 in a row was the worst time of my football days and I'm sure most honest rangers fans shall say the same about celtic doing 10 in a row.

6.) 27 Nov 2016 13:24:43
10 in a row wouldn't be the same as winning ten with both teams in the league. Basically the last 5 mean sweet fa. Red Bull aren't looking to make money in football it's all about promoting the brand. RB Leipzig doesn't stand for Red Bull Leipzig either so the whole"Red Bull Rangers" thing can be put to bed right now.

7.) 27 Nov 2016 14:07:19
I can't get my head round why selik are so desperate for 10 in a row when the record there trying to break is only there own since Rangers don't "exsist" anymore🤔.

8.) 27 Nov 2016 23:23:23
Jmaster- the only reaso the club isn't called Red Bull Leipzig is the ban on commercial names of clubs in Germany. So the RB stands for something long an she German but is very much insinuated as Red Bull. Without similar regulations in Scotland, if they did invest it would be highly likely they'd expect the Red Bull name to be used. Off the top of my head I am sure that's the deal they have with Salzburg? Sorry if that's wrong, but 90% sure!

9.) 28 Nov 2016 10:02:29
j master, that's like trying to say Andy Murray being world number 1 means nothing because Nadal and Federer were out for 6 month. or Jordan speith masters don't count because tiger woods was not playing.

10.) 28 Nov 2016 10:03:34
i couldn't care any less if they wanted to call us red bull rangers.
we are rangers and it doesn't matter what comes before it or after it and most would be okay with this in the long run when we get the financial backing of a giant company like them.
to them 30 million is peanuts but would make our team a lot better.

11.) 28 Nov 2016 12:05:18
This is a weird one. The money would be amazing. but they'd rip the team that we know apart. Yeah sure we'd see ourselves as Rangers, but no one else would. Also, we'd no longer play in blue and white. kits would completely change. the club itself would change.

12.) 28 Nov 2016 13:35:33
this is all pointless anyways as red bull can't buy rangers the resolution 11 didn't pass so there are no new shares to buy.

and comparing golf to the spl is just stupidity but what else do u expect from a celtic fan.

you all know fine well its not the same as the two nine in a rows of years gone past get this ten and pretend it means as much all you want but we know that you all know its not the same and these titles are tainted . they are titles non the less so go on convince yourselves that they mean as much as they do when we are in the league.

although saying that you guys hardly had fans at the games during those years did you and everyone came rushing back when the mighty rangers where coming back up. goes to show its all about the rangers.

13.) 28 Nov 2016 16:52:32
The pain is really oozing out of some you lot. If Celtic win 10 in a row it will be deserved, the only tainted titles you lot should be worrying about are the Ones your old club won during the Ebt years. When the Supreme Court rules against the appeal they will be stripped And rightly so.

14.) 28 Nov 2016 22:00:53
Rangers1993,you posted that STV stated that red bull were looking to take over rangers! Where did you see that mate? Can't see STV stating that anywhere my friend!

15.) 28 Nov 2016 22:40:33
Guys,

Red Bull recognise the size of Rangers and recognise that Rangers are on the way up and want to capitalise on Rangers rise.

To suggest there's no market or interest in Scottish football or Rangers is foolish.

1) Scottish football is covered nationwide by all big channels.

2) the old firm is viewed worldwide.

3) as Rangers grow and likewise Red Bull we'd be part of a collective group if clubs where by relationships will be built and we'll have friendlies in areas were the club and sponsors can grow the brand and name.

WE NEED THIS.

I'm in favour of stadium name change and that of the stadium facility and Inc the logo on strips.

£12M-£20M per year for ten years would make Rangers a force again and tell my why RB couldn't benefit from that.

Stop with the negativity people.

16.) 28 Nov 2016 22:57:32
Red Bull is huge company. and we are a sleeping giant with huge potential and a massive fanbase. its not about Red Bull investing to make money. its about being associated with a succesful club and the fantastic publicity and advertising that goes with it. i'd welcome it as King doesn't seem to have any investors lining up. Just more watered down share issues which again the fans will pay for.

17.) 29 Nov 2016 10:19:31
I agree Forza, there's a huge marketing opportunity for Red Bull when Rangers are involved. It would make sense to a company like Red Bull to want to be involved with us.

18.) 29 Nov 2016 13:28:56
Keep telling yourself the titles will be stripped, ain't going to happen.

19.) 29 Nov 2016 13:11:05
Just to make you aware lads this rumour was actually started on a celtic forum as a bit of a bam up lol. Red bull invested in Salzburg because that is where the RB headquarters is. This is a business with zero personal attachmenf to The Rangers, why would they pump in 20 million a year, plus all the initial outlay of millions to get the club up to scratch, for basically zero return of investment? Lol. Dreaming.

31 Oct 2016 13:40:09
Rangers are in talks with man city over a 6 month loan deal for midfielder Aleix Garcia who looks likely to sign in january.

Rangers1993

1.) 31 Oct 2016 17:45:36
Would love that to happen but the lad looked like the best player on the pitch against man united so I reckon he'll be in man city's first team or thereabouts from now on.

2.) 31 Oct 2016 22:20:28
Rangers 1993 Where did u get this info from? would love it if we were going for these types come Jan, the guy's position apparently is a defensive midfeilder.

3.) 01 Nov 2016 16:56:12
as good as this boy is don't see the benefit in only having him for 6 mths he will be replacing a signed player and there's no long term gain from it.

4.) 01 Nov 2016 21:14:48
If it strengthens team to secure 2nd place and maybe Scottish cup then that would be great, getting into europe is of paramount importance to raise our profile again and for the cash it can bring in! That would benefit us long term.

5.) 02 Nov 2016 06:32:41
Why would we want another midfielder when we already have plenty, some of which aren't even getting game time? Rossiter/ Crooks/ Forrester/ Holt/ Halliday/ Windass plus a host of young players such as Ashmore/ Barjonas/ Burt and the ones on loan - Scott Roberts/ Jordan Thompson. For me = Midfield is doing alright. We need defensive cover.

26 Sep 2016 17:54:21
Hearing from a source that mark warburton is now on his last legs and if he doesn't turn things around quickly, alex mcleish will be appointed on a rolling contract until the end of season.

Rangers1993

1.) 26 Sep 2016 18:07:50
A rolling contract till the end of the season? This a new type of contract? 😂😂.

2.) 26 Sep 2016 18:08:29
utter tosh where do you get this garbage, who is the source.

3.) 26 Sep 2016 18:27:00
Did Dave King tell you that? What nonsense!

4.) 26 Sep 2016 18:47:32
He doesn't even understand what a rolling contract is.

5.) 26 Sep 2016 18:42:02
You do know what a rolling contract is mate, rite. who ever told you this is talking mince.

6.) 26 Sep 2016 19:45:44
In warbs we trust. we're in it for the long haul. you don't have rolling contract to a certain date

7.) 26 Sep 2016 20:02:48
Your only saying this because Mcleish was on the tele for the game yesterday giving his opinion on how he would do things with rangers/ Barton! Absolute Pi*h.

8.) 26 Sep 2016 20:16:11
Im away tae bang ma heid aff a wall. Seriously!

9.) 26 Sep 2016 19:13:07
getting rid of MW and senior JB is going to cost yous in excess of 3.5 mill

barton on approx 15k pw
MW on possibly the same (not sure about big DW)
Garner costing 1.5 mill (750k now and rest at end of season)

this cash is prob going to take up most of next seasons transfer budget.

10.) 26 Sep 2016 22:10:21
I'd love him to go tbf but got to agree we everybody your putting 2 n 2 together, not to mention the rolling contract bit 😁.

11.) 27 Sep 2016 12:11:46
I wish all you glory hunters would get real, he is here long term, he has already restarted our youth policy, by bringing up young guys from England, we have a top scout in place, its bad enough he gets pressure from no marks like that ex hearts ex hibs guy who blew his chance of big time football, because he couldn't stick to team plans, the good times will return.

12.) 27 Sep 2016 12:16:02
After seeing big Eck on the TV the other day, maybe he meant a Rollypolly contract?

13.) 27 Sep 2016 12:30:51
kaney how do you know what anybody employed with rangers is earning? are you david king? no stop making stuff up in your silly little head.

14.) 27 Sep 2016 12:35:45
WHAT A LOT OF CRAP!
got to say I have critisezed warbs for not getting the defence up to scratch but his philosophy on how to play football will come good .
all we need to do is start scoring because as bad as our defence is (very poor), our attacking side isn't firing in the chances we do creat.

15.) 27 Sep 2016 13:11:48
Losing MW would be a tragedy. Look at the big picture here. The guys rebuilding us.

16.) 27 Sep 2016 12:43:52
does macleish come with a fez he only done well at first because of the players he inherited then he got the push; hopeless.

17.) 27 Sep 2016 13:36:13
Bringing in Macleish. That really shows ambition! In the unlikely event that Warburton was to leave then we would need to have a Chairman that was willing to invest and that is not King and he or she would need to be looking for a manager that would eclipse Rodgers just as his acquisition by Celtic was clearly to compete with Rangers. Warburton has been forced to shop at the lowest end of the transfer market and go for players in the twilight of a mediocre career by King and his failure to put his money where his moth is.

Any manager coming in to Rangers right now would be looking for a minimum of £10m just to spend on transfer fees in January and that is on the basis that he could suffer having guys like Hill around until the end of the season!

18.) 27 Sep 2016 13:45:05
Hearing from a source that Rangers1993 is now on his last legs after his last post. Rangers90210 to take over on a swinging contract.

19.) 27 Sep 2016 15:20:20
agree with you james stirling! if our forwards were scoring in accordance with our possesion % then our defence wouldn't be as exposed . similar to celtic they concede but score more. simple really.

20.) 27 Sep 2016 15:16:42
absolute joke for people to be wanting warbs sacked let him do his business of building a team that will win the league he has done well in his signings so far exept 3 clint hill, crooks still to be proven also barton is a d**k!

and people who think king isn't spending money don't know what it takes to run rangers .

king is a man i'd have in charge and just because the club have no money its not his fault he is trying his best to get the retail side of things sorted so we can have money to spend in the transfer windows.

but I can guarantee that we have no chance of spending anything in jan but I do hope he gets a good c/ b in to fill that gaping hole of whoever plays beside wilson.

21.) 27 Sep 2016 19:24:32
We claim to be the best fans in the world yet want our manager sacked after 7 games of a new season, a certain element of our support really disgusts me. Long term change was needed at the club and that's what's happening now, so boo boys get a grip n stop puttin the team under even more pressure than they're putting themselves under.

Official rangers twitter page has just recently started following bougherra. Maybe nothing in it but could be coming back as cover.

Rangers1993

1.) 15 Jul 2016 10:47:41
Bougherra? give me a break, he long finished. If you are looking for an ex player who would do a much better job then Carlos Bocanegra is your man.

22 May 2015 18:16:13
Hearing that Vladimir weiss could be a potential signing target for rangers in the summer

Rangers1993

{Ed039's Note - Yes, Ronaldo and Bale are unsettled at their clubs too)

1.) 22 May 2015 20:10:57
Would love to see him back in a Gers top great player

2.) 22 May 2015 20:44:05
Pmsl great comeback ed!!

{Ed039's Note - Some of the "rumours" are just something else mate, Rangers are more likely looking at the likes of the boy Carmichael at QoS, even Scott Allan would be a push but its Weiss is the name I hear ..... I had to make a joke coz I was damn near pissing myself laughing)

3.) 22 May 2015 21:01:32
Thought daryll meggat and Kevin holt would have been good signing although both have now gone too Dundee.

4.) 22 May 2015 21:18:13
Why can't people see beyond former rangers players when it comes to potential signings or new managers?

5.) 22 May 2015 23:11:00
Isn't Petr Cech on the sniff? And maybe Xavi would swap Qatar for Milngavie. If we push the boat out Rahim Sterling doesn't want to stay on Merseyside. dear dear.
On the Weiss story it may have legs from his side but I an informed that a new wage structure will be basic and controlled with performance led bonuses and success related payments.

6.) 23 May 2015 11:56:44
Dean Brett anyone?Haha he's a rocket.

05 May 2015 14:12:56
Any word on when the tickets for the home play off tie against QOTS go on sale ed?

Rangers1993

{Ed039's Note - There has nothing been announced yet, I would imagine by the weekend, might be a delay due to the confrontation with SPFL over season ticket holders and paying customers etc)

05 May 2015 13:52:16
Seeing lots of rumors over twitter that bilel mohsni is in "advanced talks" with german bundesliga side freiburg

Rangers1993

{Ed039's Note - Good luck and good riddance)

1.) 05 May 2015 17:44:49
Can he take big jig with him.

2.) 05 May 2015 19:21:17
Freiburg coach must be a beaut if he can see something in big Billy, good luck finding a role for him against the likes of bayern and wolfsburg, from one of the worst leagues in Europe to one of the best, should be very interesting,if you're interested freiburg we have another dozen or so of the same calibre.

3.) 05 May 2015 20:07:29
Mohsni in the Bundesliga?

Surely not but it would be hilarious seeing him trying to defend against the likes of Bayern.

23 Apr 2015 13:29:42
Any news on how the trialists milos milovic and josef shirdel are getting on ed? Any word on whether or not either will be offered a deal in the summer?

Rangers1993

{Ed039's Note - I wouldnt think any deals would be offered to anybody until the summer)

1.) 24 Apr 2015 03:12:55
A heard milovic is doing well

I agree that defence is by far our weakest position, but everybody seems to forget we have a very talented young lad in matt crooks who can cover centre back very comfortably. I wouldn't mind another defender but a defensive partnership of crooks and wilson will be solid especially with barton playing just in front of them.

Cant see lafferty back if I'm honest, if it is only 2 players coming in I'm hoping for an experienced centre back to pair with rob kiernan and to get a good goal scoring centre forward in that would see waghorn pushed out right and barrie mckay on the left as our front 3.
