Walker is turning the screw on Cathro now. Boy and his dad have been after a move for some time now and the new Hearts contract has been on the table for some time now. The fact is that he doesn't want to stay on at Tynecastle so it's either cash in or lose out now for Levein and Cathro. This week surely.

Rainger - think you will be proved right.

Got to feel for the Hearts fans - Cathro is no football manager.

2.) 30 Jul 2017 17:38:32
Remember Cathro was linked before warburton got the job. Think we dodged a bullet there!

3.) 31 Jul 2017 07:20:34
I don't really see how the one of the youngest managers of a top tier side in football can be judged so harshly. He's 31 and learning his trade, it would have been a risk for anyone taking him on board, but the fact he is younger than 50% of our first team players means he has time on his side to grow and develop. If anything we should be viewing him as raw potential who, in a decade, could quite possibly be our manager. It has to stand for something when he brought through so of the most talented Scottish players plying their trade at the moment (Gauld/ Robertson/ Armstrong/ Souttar)

4.) 31 Jul 2017 23:14:51
His attitude is crap tho. He acts like a twat during interviews. Reminds me of Strachan!

27 Jul 2017 01:03:51
I keep hearing the Naismith thing as well but this would sound like Walker would be a wait till January job if that happens. Naismith is better, more complete player than Walker (For now) and that would make business sense for me which is the way that we must be run now.

Rainger

1.) 28 Jul 2017 11:53:36
Would rather have walker than naismith

22 Jul 2017 15:04:50
Ryan Gauld being sent out on loan again this year according to reports. Why not?

Rainger

1.) 22 Jul 2017 18:01:21
Anybody know why Jordon rossiter was wasn't in the squad today? Guessing probably injured

16 Jul 2017 18:17:08
Pedro and the Cartel watching Moult for Motherwell today. Just uploaded the image.

Walker and Moult are proven SPFL goalscorers on the up. I'm starting to like the way this squad is forming.

Come on Pedro!

Rainger

1.) 16 Jul 2017 19:42:38
Think we should be focusing more on two descent full backs, we already have Morelos and Herrera up top.

2.) 16 Jul 2017 20:00:33
but will Moult get along with the Brazilians? ;)

3.) 16 Jul 2017 20:26:34
Who gives one mate. Were lucky this year to be signing new players with a board that's performing well. I agree that we may be avoiding the obvious but who knows-Pedro could end up using a back 3 with 5 midfielders. That would mean Alves and obviously Wallace (restrained) as part of a 3. Up front we would finally look top heavy. The way I like my women

4.) 16 Jul 2017 21:02:19
Snell, for the record we do not have any Brazilians, try Mexicans, Columbians, or Portuguese.

5.) 16 Jul 2017 21:17:58
that was kind of the joke mate haha hence the wink

6.) 16 Jul 2017 22:09:51
I gotcha snell :-)

7.) 17 Jul 2017 01:29:35
More likely they were taking the oportunity to scout our first league opposition.

8.) 17 Jul 2017 10:26:29
Jo Dodoo is a much better striker and natural finisher than Morelos, Moult or Herrara. Pedro got it badly wrong with Barrie Mckay and looos like he is about to make same mistake again.

9.) 17 Jul 2017 12:31:30
Joe dodoo? Hahaha someone's having a Monday sesh by the looks of it.

10.) 17 Jul 2017 13:53:25
joe doodoo haw raw talent

muppets from our end don't understand he's young and try to compare him with dembele

give him time he has pace and agility and when he's in the mood an eye for goal.

moult is no great shakes would have walker

i am a bit worried aberdeen are making ok signings, always liked logan

11.) 17 Jul 2017 17:52:10
"he's young and we try to compare him with dembele"
I think you need to understand he's older than dembele for a start, and all he's done is score against Partick a couple times.

12.) 17 Jul 2017 20:52:25
Seem to recall he almost single handed destroyed the sheep at pittodrie

13.) 18 Jul 2017 08:48:13
Fd. exactly we could do worse.

we can't compare him with a striker who is destined for the top, we can however allow him to be a class SPL striker who can bag 20+ goals. Him running off a lump like Herrera would be good.

14.) 18 Jul 2017 19:24:07
A would like to see Weiss and give beerman the chance to set a solid unit

15.) 18 Jul 2017 19:25:24
This season is gong to be great

16.) 18 Jul 2017 19:31:39
Big signing next week

17.) 18 Jul 2017 19:31:32
more prolific than marelos are u having a joke mate? how many goals in one season has he scored in any team he has played for and he was bullied and was too scared to challange last season not for me he may be better than herrera though as that boy doesn't look to be very good but hope i'm proved wrong.

walker should be a priority as he can score goals and creates a lot with his natural pace and ability moh only has one of those qualities dodoo has none

This is the best football I've seen from a Rangers team for a long time. On today's evidence if Pena and Morelos turn out to be good then with a few additions we will be back somewhere close to where we want to be. It will still take a transfer window or 2 with the same spending but here's hoping that we can continue to improve. It would be nice to get to a transfer window and say 'We need to spend the £ on two good quality transfers'. Oh remember that?!?

Rainger

1.) 07 Aug 2017 18:25:28
Exactly we still have Pena and moralos to come good kranjcar to come in to the side also i think rossiter will come good and of course couple more signings so add that to the team of yesterday we are looking good

2.) 07 Aug 2017 18:32:43
those where the days!

Would anyone on here have swapped Fodderingham and Makay for McGreggor and Walker at the start of the season?

Just curious.

Rainger

1.) 20 Jul 2017 13:09:42
In a heartbeat fod is decent but mcgregor is class. And as for barrie, hasn't looked up to scratch, walker scored plenty goals in a poor hearts team

2.) 20 Jul 2017 14:46:45
McGregor has propbably got another 3/ 4 good years I. Him and by that time I would expect one of the young boys to be coming through from auchinhowie

3.) 20 Jul 2017 19:26:04
McGregor would love to come back but won't be coming back

Straight from horses mouth

4.) 20 Jul 2017 21:42:14
and when did shagger tell you this deeb?

Rainger

Pornhub mate. 👍

2.) 19 Jul 2017 20:16:16
That would be Niko's Banger

3.) 19 Jul 2017 20:17:50
HaHaHa you got your answer Rainger let us know how you get on!

4.) 19 Jul 2017 20:34:06

19 Jul 2017 14:24:29
Whole back line accept Alves but including Wes are gash. A blind man can literally tell you that there will be a mix up at the back in every game involving the usual suspects. When I saw the latest howler I assumed that it was Wes who made the hospital pass when it wasn't him. I wonder why? . And that's not to mention the lack of control.

I'm usually positive in my posts but we are running out of time with these poor results lads. As Harry Rednap says - losing is a bad habit to get into.

Hopefully buy some firepower with the dough. Buy Walker or put cash towards Naismith will do nicely. Naismith would definitely make the other side think. Any transfers need to be done quickly now to allow teams time to replace.

The correct move in terms of cash would be to buy Naismith and loan a young winger from the prem. This would allow us to sign Walker on pre contract in January and save us £1m in transfer fees. The only gamble would be that interest in Walker increased in the run up to January.

Looked at his profile. Has a good pedigree but may have a few issues with his behaviour. Let's see what happens.

Mate he's not Gers quality-if we ever want to get back to saying that. If we don't aspire then we may as well pack up our case.

A keeper is going to need to be on the money straight away though, which is why I say bring back McGreggor.

Punt Fodderingham in a heart beat. I'd say possibly £750k to £1m going by the market down south and any more would be a bonus. Line up McGreggor for a return. We can still get 3 years or so out of him and he's proven to be more than what's required for the league. A bit of certainty wouldn't hurt in this department and pelter would give us that and more plus no 'Settling in period'.

Read this also. Hope it's goalie or tavernier. Both could be replaced by the missus.

He needs to pull his socks up pronto mate. No time 4 passengers this year. I do know where you are coming from though-for me if he just pressed and made more runs into the box it would improve his game but hey ho let's hope the lad has either a good season or gets a decent Transfer. If it's the latter, thanks for trying son and wish him all the best. Once a ranger always a ranger

Fodderingham is a shandy drinker mate.

I'd rather put the missus in goals
