Just hearing Barjonas possible loan deal to Partick Thistle and that Steve Davis rumour is maybe a non starter.

Pdot

1.) 29 Jun 2018 07:28:54
Barjonas to Partick is a big step up hopefully means he's ready to make the step up in to our set up

Will the fact we have an upcoming double header against the sheep have any bearing on McInnes' decision, should he be offered the job? Thoughts, bears?

Pdot

1.) 02 Nov 2017 07:51:37
realistically yes

but if a comp figure to release him from his contract has been set and we pay it, then there’s no reason it should

i appreciate due diligence must be done especially after last 2 appointments, but if we are going to get DM then we should do it sooner rather than later ie next week

2.) 02 Nov 2017 10:31:36
if we know who our top target is we should make a move right away as holding off won't do us any good at all we want the manager to have as many games this season as possible to get the best out of our players and to assess what he needs to bring in, but anyone who comes in should know what we need and should have been paying attention

3.) 02 Nov 2017 13:03:31
i believe they r moving fast. howver the reason i don't believe its mcinnes is because if it was him surely it would be job done already. why hold interviews in london if they already made their minds up.

Derek McInnes interview on Sportscene yesterday. He was trying so hard to keep the grin off his face when asked about the Rangers job! A very near relative recently said he would not have came during all the turmoil, but would love the job at some point. of course he would, he is a dyed in the wool bluenose! Get him in, NOW!

Pdot

1.) 30 Oct 2017 16:14:07
He's my preferred option.

2.) 30 Oct 2017 23:24:51
If McInnes is offered it then he will take it.

3.) 31 Oct 2017 08:30:03
Of course he will take it aberdeen are not a bad club but they will never be a dominant force regardless who manages them.

Was at Hampden on Sunday, but just watched a rerun of the match ( had a few pre kick off! ) We did lack a bit of an edge in the final third, but some reactions I've seen have been over the top. Particularly, Tav bashing, Gerrard not good enough garbage. I know it was a semi final, and we should have been able to beat the sheep. We didn't. We learn, turn it into a positive motivator for the future. Starting tonight. let's get behind the team, as we always do, and believe in what is happening under Gerrard. Speaking of tonight, better get my skates on. See you all up there, fellow bears! # let's go.

Pdot

{Ed0333's Note - Surely you’ve got to give SG some time to implement his style of play. He needs a season and half to bed in signings he’s gonna make over the next few months.

1.) 31 Oct 2018 18:30:48
Spot on ed333.

2.) 31 Oct 2018 19:18:51
At least ed, we can't change managers every year. got to give him 2 or 3 seasons to gradually build his team, positive sigas so far, yes a couple of setbacks but constantly changing gaffers isn't the answer.

{Ed0333's Note - one things for sure he’s a big enough name to ensure players will sign for you. I have a selfish reason for him to stay at you for a while so we can see if he’s any good for Liverpool’s top job.

Blooming clocks going back, making us wait another hour for the match today! 2 changes today for me would be Arfield for Coulibally and Grezda for Morelos. Front 3 interchanging, making themselves hard to pick up. These comments seem trivial though, compared to tragic events at Leicester and Glenn Hoddle taking ill. Thoughts and prayers to all concerned.

Pdot

1.) 28 Oct 2018 13:16:25
Absolutely pdot. What a terrible action of events. I'm hoping all involved in football today will come together and respect what has happened. Shocking. No doubt (at both games before anyone starts) there will be ar seholes who make noise during the minutes silence. Those sort of people need shooting. Hoping for two good games today. I'm also hoping for a hearts rangers final aswell though 😂.

2.) 28 Oct 2018 20:14:31
Dunoonbluebear, I don't think there will be a minute's silence since deaths have not yet been confirmed? Dreadful and tragic event.

Re ticket allocation v sheep. They have a cheek asking for more briefs. Their last semi against Morton had 16,000 at it, about 6/7000 were from Greenock side. Previous semi v Dundee Utd had less than 30,000 at it, with 50/50 split at the game.

As we all know, the bears always sell out our allocation, with loads more fans missing out. Average gate and previous attendance at semis must be taken into consideration when allocating tickets for these games. That is the fair and sensible approach, Imho. What do we think, bears? # let's go.

Pdot

1.) 11 Oct 2018 17:34:38
As I've said in a previous post let them have 50% but make them pay upfront with no money back if they don't sell them i think they would rubbish themselves to take them all .

2.) 11 Oct 2018 17:43:53
Rubbish wasnt the word i used but fair enough . it rhymed with ertha kit .

3.) 11 Oct 2018 16:51:01
Poor turnout for their Scottish Cup semi vs Motherwell last season also. As long as they sell out their allocation I’m ok with the split, we have the majority, would have much preferred that we offered to go to Murrayfield and got 40,000 tickets, send it right up all the moaners.

4.) 11 Oct 2018 20:59:12
Tickets should be allocated to reflect your average home attendance. Milne should be asking his fans why they want 20k tickets when only 10k show up on a Saturday👍.

5.) 11 Oct 2018 21:55:48
Indeed, I was watching sportsecene, when the Sheep game was on the stand to the left was half empty and there were gaps all around the rest of the ground. As it's 2 teams playing in a semi final, it is right to offer an even split however, due to the fact they can't even fill their own stadium they should be told that they can have an even share but if you don't sell your share you get a hefty fine. I am pretty sure they would have said 16,000 is nice, keep the rest.

6.) 12 Oct 2018 09:35:22
Yip, guarantee the sale of any allocation asked for and that solves everything, I will laugh if they have to hand any back unsold after all their moaning!

Anybody seen George Peat's comments about 2008 season ending fixtures and the call from a prominent club telling him not to help Rangers! Wonder who that could have been.

Pdot

1.) 17 Sep 2018 18:45:52
Should be outed whoever it was not a surprise though.

2.) 17 Sep 2018 18:48:33
Peat should grow a set and name the individual.

3.) 17 Sep 2018 20:56:28
The chairman should be mentioned however you don’t need to be Columbo to know who it was. Only 1 team would benefit from such a request. If as we all think it was a certain chairman then his current position in the game is untenable.

4.) 17 Sep 2018 21:07:02
Wouldn't that be illegal for a member club to try influence the governing bodies decision? Shouldn't it be investigated in the name of sporting integrity;)

5.) 17 Sep 2018 21:39:18
I think their rhat of a chairman was Reid at that time. Nothing surprises me about it or its horrible no mhark of a club. A nasty piece of work who should be named and shamed in the name of sporting integrity. Lolol 😂😂😂😂.

6.) 17 Sep 2018 22:40:59
The Seeker

Think it was Reid however I’m sure a certain other prominent figure at the club would be fully aware of the call. After all lawwell did also come out and say about a tour of the Far East that his mob had arranged at the end of that season as a reason for not extending the league. Still not been on it though.

7.) 17 Sep 2018 22:57:46
As far as I’ve been told boys it was Thompson from Dundee Utd.

8.) 18 Sep 2018 00:12:04
Hi guys, from what I’ve been told by guys close to the SFA (not employees) is that it was Thompson of Dundee Utd that made the call.
Apparently Dundee Utd amongst other knew Rangers financial position was grim and by ensuring we lost out on prize money from the League, the Champions League (the champions went straight in to the CL group stages for the following season) and UEFA Cup would only add to our problems.
If memory serves my right we were financially firefighting back in 2008 so there could be some truth in what I was told.

9.) 18 Sep 2018 06:12:15
I'd bet my last dollar, that it was that apology and joke of an owner and chairman, of scumdee utd, stephen thompson! Him and his small minded joke of a football club, have got their comupence now! Karma to that reprobate! Don't make any apologies for saying that i hope his club scumdee utd, rot down in the bowels of scottish football forever!

10.) 18 Sep 2018 09:05:06
SuperCoop I couldn’t agree more, The whole family are rotten to the core!
I want to see all clubs survive as it’s bad for our game if they don’t. Dundee Utd however are a different matte!

11.) 18 Sep 2018 10:30:58
Aye that does make sense guys. Can't find the words to express just how much I hate baldy and his (ex) horrible no mark club. I so wish they would go right down the pan.

12.) 18 Sep 2018 12:14:18
To all who think it’s thompo please explain what is prominent about him or his team.

13.) 18 Sep 2018 21:18:56
I agree it was Thompson as he thought if Rangers disappeared his joke of a club would be 2nd and get in the champions league.

14 Sep 2018 20:37:55
Buddies doing ok here. Shows what can be done when you put that mob under a bit of pressure, like we should've done. More of the same next 45.

Pdot

1.) 15 Sep 2018 09:32:43
6 disagrees during their game. Are they on our sites when their team is "playing". They hate us more than they love their own club lol.

Been saying it's a distinct possibility for weeks. Been getting his excuses in early, like he's working his ticket out of the piggery. Think he knows Stevie G will have his number as the season progresses. # Let's go.

Thought McCrorie was a stand out for us last night, surely should be in ahead of the likes of Coulibally. this.

Agree, Jack had a decent game. But, Coulibally was poor again last night. Sloppy in possession, not much going forward, no creativity, didn't win many tackles either. don't think he has fully regained his confidence after injury. Hopefully soon be back to the player we saw earlier in the season, otherwise I'd take him out of the team for a spell.

I know there are some matches that are not a great watch on grass, but i don't think I've seen a decent game on artificial, tbh. Surely, apart from injury risks, the fact that the matches are nowhere near entertaining never mind being a spectacle, should also be of concern to football authorities?

Speaking of Europe, Spartak lost 3-2 at home today, Ze Luis scoring both goals. He'll need to be kept quiet on Thursday.
