Does anyone else feel as though we are giving Hearts an incredible advantage by undermining the prospect of resigning players like Lafferty and Naismith?
Lafferty has hit 11 goals in the first half of the season. Naismith, love him or hate him is a player of far greater quality than the likes of Devante Cole. The only way we will sign £8m players just now is with circumstances like these. Unreal to think people are not willing to see how he does until the end of the season.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 12 Jan 2018 07:18:42
agree nassau

naisy does split opinion on here in terms of how he left etc but his quality and commitment as a player aren’t in doubt

by not showing any interest and allowing him to sign for killie or hearts is a mistake

my brother in law was at the game last night and said goss and murphy both showed up well windass scores a cracker whole team played well but he said herrera was poor

we are desp for another striker after missing out on moult

2.) 12 Jan 2018 09:46:39
I would rather we go for Cummings, along with Windass and Morello our front line would be looking good. I would like Naismith back but I would rather see us signing young talent.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 13:03:16
Is Naismith still the player of 2011 tho?7 yr have passed and a lot of injuries so we should stop living in the past and just assume he's going to be the same as he was

4.) 12 Jan 2018 14:45:18
I agree as well, however he offers no value as an asset, which devante cole would, of course we need players to try and win us the league but we also need to be signing players that are going to offer us value in the long run which Naismith wouldn't unfortunately. However if the money is there I'd like to see both come in.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 14:56:45
How's about having Murphy, Morelos, Naismith, O'Halloran and Cummbgs at the club. A club of Rangers stature requires an abundance of fire power. We've talked about the need for a stronger squad. well this is our chance.

6.) 12 Jan 2018 14:57:56
I would take the wee man in a heartbeat . alright he slagged his employers off, but if anyone got the same stuff at their work would you not feel the same .

7.) 12 Jan 2018 14:58:40
Nassau. As much as I don't hold a grudge against Naisy as much as others I still don't think players like him are the way forward. A. He's no longer an 8 mill player. B. Adds no financial value to team.

TBH if we could I'd go for Cummings AND Cole.
That way we would have 3 proper young forwards (Cole 22,Cummings 22 and Morelos 21). You would hope that 2 of the 3, at least, come good. Sell 1 on for profit and you still have 1 good one at least.
This has to be our business model.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 15:23:44
Weedan

Naismith held a press conference to declare Rangers dead and that he was leaving and owed the new club nothing. Bit different from slagging off his employers. He betrayed all Rangers fans and only reinforced the opinion held by others that the club died

9.) 12 Jan 2018 17:41:04
Spot on stewie25!Let stevie naismith go sign for hearts! I don't want him near glasgow rangers! He betrayed the club he professed to love, in its hour of need! Rangers stuck by him through not 1 but 2 serious cruciate ligament injuries! Some have short memories just like naisy!

10.) 13 Jan 2018 11:07:03
Betrayed the club ? . calm doon big boy

20 Dec 2017 18:14:57
If rumours are true about Jason Cummings Rangers should act fast. He is one of the long list of players recently we have failed to aquire in the transfer window, that should have been signed immediately.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 20 Dec 2017 18:54:46
jordan jones agent is speaking to rangers

2.) 20 Dec 2017 23:00:25
What’s happening with Cummings?

3.) 21 Dec 2017 06:25:00
Nothing

4.) 21 Dec 2017 07:21:20
He’s fell out with Warburton

5.) 21 Dec 2017 10:10:23
He's not the right fit for rangers please believe me. btw that's nothing to do with him as a player. it's the type of person he is

6.) 21 Dec 2017 11:11:54
Rangers would be lucky to have someone like Jason Cummings upfront with Morelos. We definitely need to do something this transfer window to show we are still interested in actually fighting for this Championship because we are not that far off, we just 4 strong players to strengthen the squad.

7.) 21 Dec 2017 12:33:23
Warburton publically stated that the fall out rumours were wrong

8.) 21 Dec 2017 19:26:46
He'll go bk to Lennon/ Hibs anyway

17 Dec 2017 01:04:37
Rangers need to have a look at their work ethic levels today. On the ball they produced little, and off the ball we're nothing short of pitiful. Failure to press St Johnstone when they had possession, and failure to show desire and urgency when tracking back. The fact they brought on a guy who can't run the length of the 6 yard box when Barjonas is available is disgraceful.

Again showed weakness in the lack of capable squad depth. Major work needed on teams intensity levels. We should be on the attack from start to finish and show a superior level of fitness. That was nothing short of a shambles today. Creativity and effort non existent. I'd fine any player who comes out and says 'we know we need to do better' or 'we let the fans down' after that. That patter is not acceptable. Actions matter. Words do not.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 17 Dec 2017 06:44:53
we have zero creativity in that team and because of that we can't play against teams who sit in its no coincidence that's why murtys results against the lower teams is so bad but he’s had great results against the sheep and hibs because they came and had a go and left gaps i also feel its time for wes to be replaced he doesn't look like saving anything anymore and his distribution is awful every successful team I've saw in my life time has had the foundation of a quality goalkeeper

2.) 17 Dec 2017 09:32:22
I agree we need quality we need three one four players who can do things different with the ball open up defences, we played well at home to Aberdeen and got the job done away, but other than those two game we have been dire away to Hibs we were awful we got battered and Wes saved our bacon with some great saves, so for me two acceptable performances against Aberdeen, the other games under Murty have been atrocious, now I'm not blaming Murty he has been hung out to dry by this circus of a board he has been the guy that has stood in front of the media and answered the questions where is our board yes hiding in their tower releasing crass statements on managers who have turned us down, they should hang their heads in shame does anyone think we have moved on since they got their hands on the club, they have been responsible for The of the worst managers in the clubs history, spent millions backing those pair of duds leaving us with no manager and a bunch of players with no heart no fight and no hope, we still have fans blinded by two results against Aberdeen and a smash and grab against Hibs, we are only a few points behind Celtic if we had won against this team or that team we would be ahead, well let me burst that bubble we didn't winning four in a row is no great feat to me I've been a supporter for over thirty years share holder and season ticket holder and I'm raging about the state of my club, fans need to let their voices be heard this is not good enough the board need to be taken to account for the shambles we are in, a chairman who is never here that's ok if the club is going well and the right men are left in charge but none of those apply here, please sit down look at our results and performances and judge if we are any closer to a title challenge, we are not we need a manager in who demands respect a man when he walks into a room everyone shuts up and sits up he earns the respect of the players who in turn would run through a brick wall for him, what I see here is players who just give up when things turn against and a manager who is out of his depth, I'm not having a go at Murty he is an honest man a good coach and a lovely guy but he is our U20s coach, like it or lump it things will not get any better till we have that manager in place and money to spend so buckle up for more of yesterday we are a mid table team nothing more

3.) 17 Dec 2017 13:39:59
Think we need to keep calm bears, that was a shocking performance yesterday and there’s no excuse for it, none were offered. For me it’s about the reaction to this and hopefully we will be at it from minute 1 in the next 3 pivotal games. We have a lack of quality in the meantime dole of the park and that needs addressing but we were also missing Dorrans who for me will be perfect for the top of the diamond formation. Tav and John are good players but they are no world beaters and we will have days like yesterday when we struggle to break teams down. The defensive mistakes yesterday were shocking but they were individual mistakes once again and the players need to look at themselves for them.

I still feel positive about the season and was glad to see Morelos score again! We need him to march onto 20+ goals this season and I had hoped for 15 from Dorrans but he still has time if he can get fit and stay fit. We need a midfielder to take Holts jersey. While Holt tries his heart out his passing isn’t up to it and he’d be better as back up I think.

4.) 17 Dec 2017 15:24:53
we need 2 wingers urgently tav and john need to stay back and try and defend better to save us being caught out as often.

Thomas Cerny's comments about rangers fans swaying referee disicions had me rolling about the floor laughing this morning. It's clear from dizzy referee displays from John Beaton and Willie Columm that they try to keep the opposition out the book until the dying stages of the game, although they are very keen to get the home team in the book as early as possible to calm the heated atmosphere. John Beaton has already been demoted due to the worst refereeing performance of the SPL season. Luckily for Collum, he has avoided media humiliation or he would have suffered the same fate as Beaton. Obismal display, and ironic this guy is a "moral education teacher".

Nassau_Bear

1.) 08 Feb 2018 20:14:31
Cerny should have been penalised for that shambles against Cummings, I can’t believe the ref gave that the other way or at worst play on! Anyway, it’s a game of opinions I suppose but if we had drew that game I’d have been fuming

26 Jan 2018 08:55:24
It would be a shame if Danny Wilson's legacy at Rangers ends in personal greed. He has not done enough for the suggested £5K a week pay rise, although he has shown much promise in the last few games. A player tipped for great things by most at the club, is about to walk away. This is a very poor disicion most probably caused by an agent.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 26 Jan 2018 10:35:44
Good riddance

2.) 26 Jan 2018 10:45:13
Legacy?

3.) 26 Jan 2018 10:48:23
You can't accuse him of greed. He's not exactly earning EPL wages and he may well be faced with an offer he can't refuse. He's a very good player and overlooked by the national team. He was left out by Pedro and that must have made him ask questions about his future. I agree it would be a loss to the club but a life in Colorado and an MLS career would tempt many players. Maybe offering him a better contract, the captaincy armband and a Scotland call up will persuade him to stay.

4.) 26 Jan 2018 11:02:06
I'll not be losing any sleep over Wilson tbh. Decent player, but easily replaced.

If you think of it from his perspective, we brought in two CB's in the summer, now another in this window along with McRorie and Bates getting in the team regularly, he maybe feels his days are numbered and is taking his chance.

Remember, he was benched most of the season until we were hit with injuries.

5.) 26 Jan 2018 11:28:40
I could’t agree more Nassau

My brother in law is a coach in the US at u16 which feeds into MLS clubs and he says standard is very poor so Wilson is moving for a bit more money rather than the chance of winning things and maybe getting back in scotland team

how sad

6.) 26 Jan 2018 17:04:17
I agree BearMode, with the improvements to the midfield it may be time to put McCrorie back to CD with Martin or Alves, he definitely has a future as a DMC but we will need him at the back with plenty cover in midfield now. I’d be happy to focus on getting 3/ 4 off the wage bill in the run up to the deadline with maybe a wee surprise in on the last day!

21 Jan 2018 09:25:32
For a player that's scored 4 more goals than the questionable £16m rated striker in the same league. I don't think £2m is even going to start the bidding. If Jordan Jones is £1m then we can start at £5m with Morelos in the current transfer climate.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 21 Jan 2018 09:39:41
Think £5m is too optimistic however £2m isn’t worth selling a young player who will improve. Somewhere between £3-£4m is more realistic

2.) 21 Jan 2018 11:09:04
If a top flight English club wants him we know they have all that sweet tv money - we should hold them to ransom.

3.) 21 Jan 2018 11:39:50
We all became fans because we enjoyed seeing our team winning. That and because our dads and grandads insisted. Who can forget their first game at Ibrox? I'm no fan of selling a vital player we need and particularly a proven goalscorer. The only message I get is that we're less likely to score goals after he's gone. So we buy Cummings and one step forward and sell Morelos and two steps back. Unless the money is crucially needed to stay in business or will buy us a better player still - unlikely in this market - then we don't sell our best players unless it's an offer no sane business venture can refuse. And saying we bought for a million and sold him for three and rubbing your hands in glee doesn't cut it because it's not going into my bank account!

4.) 21 Jan 2018 11:38:40
We would accept £2m for Morelos all day long in our current financial state but a player is only ever worth what a club buys him for👍

20 Jan 2018 15:53:41
Serge Atakayi would be entitled to be annoyed if he was overlooked because of O'Halloran in the second half of the season. Looks as if he always wants the ball and always looks to beat a man. Deserves a shot, and undoubtably has more sell on value if he bears fruit.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 20 Jan 2018 16:40:01
Aye for u19's nassau, he is nowhere near ready for the 1st team. That was evident in america.

23 Dec 2017 14:25:12
I hate to say it but that is the second time in as many weeks we have shown no fight, no commitment, no ability, no creativity, no desire to press without the ball, no ability to pass a ball and players can't be arsed getting off the deck when they've lost possession or missed a chance. This is nothing short of brutal to watch. Something has to change here. A very poor Kilmarnock team has bullied and out played Rangers today. We should all realise that this can't go on. Dismal display. The goal aside, we done nothing right in any of the 90 minutes. Horrible.

Nassau_Bear

1.) 23 Dec 2017 14:32:48
Yeh I know. But I'll tell you what will fix the situation give the guy that's displayed these performances a job until the end of the season.

2.) 23 Dec 2017 14:37:16
disaster of an appointment. Murty should go now. didn't want him in the first place . tactically unaware and completely out of his depth

Rangers would be mad to sell Fod for £1.5m. Wait until he plays in Europe and treble that and more. It may take time but these price tags are toy town to that which could be achieved in the near future. It all comes down to number crunching obvcoarse.

Dodoo could be a good player if Graeme Murty could get some urgency and aggression in his game. Unfortunately Scottish football fans don't put up with lazy players. If your not running about like a blue arsed fly looking for a square go whilst scoring a barrel load, your going to get dogs abuse up here. I can't see him getting a chance now.

Kranjcar wasn't playing in the MLS. he was playing in the 3rd division (National Soccer League) . So doubt he's getting a move to the MLS.
We always get players into the pool before sweeping the deadwood out. Interesting to see who we can shift. Hodson, Dalcio, Alves and Herrera for me please.
We need another full back, but I don't think we have been linked to anyone in this window.

We should offer them O'Halloran and £300K. Their evaluation is way off the mark at £1m. But a player and cash seems fair for both teams. Important to keep a good relationship with Killie as they are one of the few teams who never bladed us when we were at our weakest. A percentage of future transfer fee should be availible for Ayeshire's finest.

Tony Pulis has managed in the EPL for over 10 years. Can't believe people are trying to say he's not as good as McInnes because he's not came second in the SPL 😂! I'm sure keeping teams afloat in a position worth over £80m a year to them isn't pressure. And triumphing in the pursuit of the EPL dream doesn't come with prestige.
Waken up. Pulis is a great manager but Macdoj is right, he will end up at Stoke when Hughes gets sacked and will be given millions for a short term contract.

Pains me to see Pena play in midfield. No urgency to press teams, no intensity and no work ethic. Said before I'd like to see him upfront with Morelos but at the moment Windass deserves that role. Our big worry for Wednesday is midfield. There will be no McCrorie, Dorrans or Jack potentially. There's nobody left to partner Holt except Barjonas and a severely immobile Kranjcar. Hopefully McCrorie makes the starting 11 though.
