Daily Records

DI Matteo said passed med personal terms broke down, back at villa!

M3LV0

1.) 19 Aug 2016 18:00:12
He's hardly going to say he's done or he'll never get rid of him all paper's said personal terms where already agreed. Ranger's wouldn't have been Interested if they couldn't pay him.

2.) 19 Aug 2016 21:12:32
Lescott's knees are shot that's why he didn't get a deal,

Take it from me I was the one that put the story on here days before the papers got near it.

3.) 19 Aug 2016 20:43:49
Always thought you agreed personal terms first then had the medical?

Benitez wants McPartland for Newcastle, does our battles with MA never end lol!

Interesting to see what happens here. Is Rangers and MW pull enough to keep him here?

Time shall tell. I saying he will stay!

its in a paper BTW.

M3LV0

1.) 20 May 2016 10:53:22
I don't think mcparland will leave yet, I think him and warburton are just getting started with what they want to do at gers, i really believe they are loving life at rangers just now, so I would be really surprised if he left.

2.) 20 May 2016 13:10:15
i hope he doesn't go as he is doing wonders for us.

3.) 20 May 2016 12:17:13
He has a working relationship with Warburton and he's only just in the door. Doubt he'd leave to work for that clown.

4.) 20 May 2016 13:16:54
rafa know mcparland from his time at Liverpool
its makes sense that he wants him at Newcastle
we can only hope his loyalty to warbs is stronger
you never know rodgers may want mcparland at porkheid.

5.) 20 May 2016 13:52:24
no chance will be leave. he is too loyal to MW. He also left a championship club to come to rangers.

6.) 20 May 2016 14:04:16
Theres only one chance of him leaving and that's no chance. With his previous links to Warbs and with the project he's working on just now why would he leave? Plus he cannot be blind to the crap that's going on at Newcastle.

7.) 20 May 2016 14:14:26
I see Davie Weir some mornings in a bakery in the West End, McPartland was there with him yesterday - not sure if that adds anything, but the scones in there are massive.

8.) 21 May 2016 09:18:07
Souness_

That's funny! Good post.

Rossiter in Glasgow to finalise move to Rangers!

Fingers crossed, all goes through, really can't see it not happening it is more than likely he is coming up today to just sign contract and do photo shoot at MP with McPartland and MW!

1.) 13 May 2016 16:34:20
Done deal!

2.) 13 May 2016 16:42:53
does anyone else think he might stall to see how we get on against hibs and if we have a chance of europe?

3.) 13 May 2016 17:20:27
Deal done according to some Twitter feeds.

4.) 13 May 2016 17:22:17
Looks like he's signed.

5.) 13 May 2016 17:25:06
Pictured at MP with Davie Weir.

6.) 13 May 2016 17:52:21
He's signed already.

7.) 13 May 2016 18:01:17
No I doubt it, the reason for him signing for us is down to warbs and mcparland, if we never had them we would not have signed the players we have and the players were going for, warburtons recruitment is first class, him and frank mcparland are great at spotting players, I'm really excited to see what our starting 11 will be next season, as a matter of fact, I can't wait lol
It's a great time to be a gers fan in my opinion, especially after the last 4 years, I'm just thankful to our board who have done an outstanding job in such a short space of time, couldn't be happier with the way things are going at Rangers now.

8.) 13 May 2016 18:21:47
Yes Delboy couldn't agree more, i'm buzzing for this season to get started, the feeling being a ger right now is amazing, obv it always is amazing but after those 4 years this is the height of happiness!

9.) 14 May 2016 00:46:43
Has everybody forgotten that we are rangers? Yes Rangers! One of the worlds biggest and most supported clubs, we don't need to be grateful for boys signing for us, they should be totally and utterly grateful to be signing for the Glasgow Rangers, can't get my head round this"we are thankfull lark " Is there anyone else out there who doesn't understand that. ? Glasgow Rangers! They should be begging to be a Rangers player .

10.) 14 May 2016 13:21:50
Tom did I say I'm thankful to any player signing, no i didn't, y is it every time the board does something good u post negative crap. we all know we're Rangers, I'm just thankful to have a great board in place that put rangers first unlike the last few boards.

11 May 2016 11:00:19
Web page Empire of the KOP, they have written that its has been confirmed that Rangers is Jordan Rossiter next destination and Liverpool will receive meagre 250K, this has been backed up by the ever reliable Liverpool Echo.

This with reports in Dailyy Mail, Daily Record and the Scotsman, seems to me that this may well be all done bar the shouting, hopefully press conf with him in a bears top is forthcoming!

It all looking good if this is the first signing of the year. Bye Nicky Law, Nicky Clark and David Templeton, Zaleem, Ball, Bell.

Think Shields will get new contract, but it with all the wage that these guys will free up, Jordan Rossieter looks a stick on!

M3LV0

1.) 11 May 2016 12:21:24
Cant see Shiels getting new contract mate.

2.) 11 May 2016 12:27:44
No way Shields will get a contract, he's on funny money and has only started 1 game all season. I don't think any of the old guard will get one.
Would love Ball back either for another year or permanent. Spurs should just sell us him with a buy back clause, because let's face it he isn't getting in that team anytime soon.
Strange as it may sound I'd actually take Zalaleem back as well, he looked god when he came on against Celtic and would benefit from the extra time on the ball in the top league. I know he's had his critics (me especially) but I think because he came from Arsenal we forget he is only 18. Showed great maturity to slot that penalty away as well and has never hid once after losing possession.

3.) 11 May 2016 12:52:43
I agree with what you're saying re GZ bob. I thought that when he played there was a bit more cohesion within the team. Lightweight, yes. Undoubted ability, yes. Needs more time to mature then I reckon will be a VERY good player. As for Ball, would love to see him join us on a permanent deal.

4.) 11 May 2016 11:56:52
I can't see him keeping Dean Shiels. He's a bit part player now, so there would be no chance of him getting near the first team with Halliday Holt, Crooks, Windass and possibly (looking highly likely as you say) Rossiter. I personally would let him go and have young Burt on the peripherals instead.

5.) 11 May 2016 12:28:11
Disagree? Hope this happens as it will be a huge statement from MW and King. Liverpool fans are amazed that Rossiter is allowed to leave. One guy I work with who is a huge Liverpool fan and hails from liverpool, he also travels down regularly to games and he tells me that we have a player. Yes we only had to pay 250k instead of 8mil that the prem clubs would have paid which is spare change to them, the fact we convinced the boy that ibrox is the place to be instead of man city, spurs etc speaks volumes for mw king mcparland etc. Loving life again as a ger.

6.) 11 May 2016 12:55:04
Funnily enough I think Shiels will be offered a reduced contract with possibly Law also staying on lesser terms. Ball may alsi come back on loan. Just what I've heard.

7.) 11 May 2016 13:26:59
I would think Law will leave and possibly Shiels.

8.) 11 May 2016 13:39:42
I think law is onto plumbs and shiels along with him I hope and think ball will be back with us I think GZ is high in potential would be a good squad player for us I feel for templeton though alswys liked him when just very injury prone but did well when he actually played!

9.) 11 May 2016 15:09:40
Shiels loses concentration too easily and is simply not good enough. Law is not a 90 minute player. Both should leave to free up wages for players that can genuinely contribute.

Ball is a quality young player and it would be perfect if he was back for another season. That will depend on Spurs and whether they want to elevate him to the first team squad.

Zetalem has a real chance of being part of things at Arsenal next season but if he is to go out on loan I would hope that we would be the preferred Club for his services.

10.) 11 May 2016 15:18:31
part of the problem is no one is knocking down our door to
offer any our players out of contract an offer
shef utd may take law but where the rest will end up
who knows but you would think if we are not to offer new
contracts the players would be released.

11.) 11 May 2016 16:24:52
If we don't offer new contracts then they are automatically released as they are out of contract.

12.) 11 May 2016 17:30:49
Can't see law or sheils staying. Rossiter seems a cert now and with crooks and windass also coming both will be further down the pecking order.

13.) 11 May 2016 19:27:28
Clark Sheils Temps and Bell will all be in the SPFL nxt season with other teams looks like Law going down south.

14.) 11 May 2016 20:20:39
I agree with The Seeker in that Shiels will be offered a reduced contract, which, if I was him, I would take.

The Hat loves him, more for his professionalism and his ability to motivate the younger lads in the squad, so maybe thinking along the same lines as Miller this season, i. e. Senior Proffesional, not necessarily playing too often but having a great deal of input into the squad in broader terms.

{Ed039's Note - Miller played plenty this season, and contributed plenty as well)

15.) 11 May 2016 23:02:19
Ed, I meant that Shiels won't play much, I know Miller contributed plenty was just highlighting the senior aspect of Miller's contribution aside from playing.

SELIK V RANGERS 4-2-3-1

Fod

Tav Crooks, Senderos, Wallace

Halliday Barton

MOH Forrester McKay

Miller

If booth Crooks and Senderos are match fit get them in. Crooks has a real turn of pace on him and we will need it against Forrest, Sinclair and Griff the Rat.

2 Holding players in-front of them for added protection.

Match up against Selik with a deep lying attacking 3 that all have pace to burn and then you have Kenny up top working their back 4 constantly and will link up well with the 3 behind and has the experience and knowhow to bring them into game and link up well.

M3LV0

1.) 01 Sep 2016 10:12:04
Agree with most of the team mate, would prefer Garner/ Waghorn if fit up top to miller though and possibly Rossiter instead of either Halliday or Barton.

2.) 01 Sep 2016 10:22:34
Personally I wouldn't play MOH, I don't think he is anywhere near good enough, so 1 dimensional, I would have Niko playing in a central advanced role with McKay and Forrester either side of him.

3.) 01 Sep 2016 10:30:03
If windass is fit i would have him in place of MOH.

4.) 01 Sep 2016 10:33:01
That is a brilliant idea, let's put a CDM into the CB spot and also we'll test out a new defensive partnership. good idea M3lvo. It'll between Senderos, Wilson and Kiernan.

5.) 01 Sep 2016 11:49:22
Said repeatedly at the time we wasted money on MO'H just to please fans who wouldn't shut up about no money being spent/ we couldn't afford him. Still think he can come good tho mind you he does have quality and pace.

6.) 01 Sep 2016 12:13:42
Barton has to play. This is make or break for him. He has mouthed off so much that he needs to prove himself against this mob or his credibility is gone! I also reckon that Senders has to play and the dilemma for me is which of our two other centre backs should start alongside him.

7.) 01 Sep 2016 14:13:36
What about trying Gilks as a striker? would be good banter, he's built like a brick house aswell.

8.) 01 Sep 2016 13:09:28
Kieran out sendros in, he's the weak link, Barton must play after shooting his mouth off and what's the point of buying garner if you don't play him.

31 Aug 2016 12:03:31
We better get a new CB or 2 before the window closes or its game over for us for wining anything this year.

Also what happened to a good manager building his team from the back. Stop the goals first then build on that. Rangers have always had the best of GK and CB's, we need to get back to that.

Finally, as I posted the other day. If we want to do anything against Selik we need to play
4-2-3-1

Tav, New CB, New CB/ Wilson, Waldo

Rossitier Halliday

MOH Forrester McKay

Garner

Please MW, wake up 4-3-3 is not going to cut it, the 3 in the middle are to defence minded and slow and can't get the attack going quick or direct enough and the 3 up top are left with no space to run at defences because the playing to far up the park and it is easy for teams to stifle is because of that.

Play 1 player up top as a focal point and 3 behind, this means we have space to run at team and also means there defenders have to play higher up pitch and out of position sometimes as they need to deal with our players running from the middle.

FFS its not hard to work out.

Then we can have 2 protecting our back line adding protection as it is our weakest points.

CMON warbs sort it get with the programme here.

Man City play exactly this way and destroy teams.

M3LV0

1.) 31 Aug 2016 12:13:12
Let's not panic Melvo. I would love to play 11 outfield players against Celtic but I don't think the SFA would allow it.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 12:14:57
Do u fancy the job?

3.) 31 Aug 2016 12:13:12
Let's not panic Melvo. I would love to play 11 outfield players against Celtic but I don't think the SFA would allow it.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 12:18:48
It's not MW fault. It is DK that has failed to honour his promises of investment and has failed to back the manager.

Too late now, if I were MW I would be really peed off.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 12:22:08
Halliday is rotten and no way should waggy not start and MOH no chance not good enough either that team would get destroyed.

6.) 31 Aug 2016 12:35:24
mr nice - although I have my reservations about the way things are going (on the pitch), you have no idea what investment has been made. We have signed 10 players, that believe it or not costs money. We haven't sold anyone to make money, and our commercial side is mince! On top of this money has been spent on the stadium, Achenhowie, the backroom staff, and development squads, which will be in place for years to come. I wouldn't be surprised if we are still paying the wages of those players on loan.
we need to get real as far as spending is concerned - and unlike some people I would expect by end of this season we will be very close to have spent the 30 million that keeps being bandied about (FYI - that wasn't a transfer budget, that's what he said we would need to bring us back to some sort of normality)

7.) 31 Aug 2016 12:51:00
some people just love to slate the manager and player, ohalloran just needs a descent run, halliday is our most consistent performer and it was proved against Kilmarnock.

8.) 31 Aug 2016 12:53:03
Bill our accounts are public record.

The only money DK has put into club is in form of directors loans- which are loans that need relayed either in cash or shares.

I can't believe that people can't see throw him. I really can't.

9.) 31 Aug 2016 12:55:12
I wanna see holt back man, been missing his directness so far this season.

10.) 31 Aug 2016 13:37:01
Surely the accounts for this season haven't been published yet?

11.) 31 Aug 2016 14:12:12
id def have holt beside forrester in the middle just infront of rossiter, for me barton hasn't been the great signing we hoped he would be as yet!
niko kranjcar is a great player with poor fitness so still say bring him on the last 20-30 mins.
hodson is not the biggest but is great back up for our fullbacks.
crooks yet to be proven windass is good but still not proven as yet!
dodoo not strong enough.
clint hill. enough said!
garner not made my mind up yet but think he can still do the business.
moh not for the style we play but could be good if that changed.
gilks think is the same as wes tbh!

point is fellow bears all those signings has hindered us we had a tight nit squad who played really nice football with loadsa goals but now we have a big squad no first choices as such and we are playing awfull.
really disappointed right now with everything that's went down since the league started.

good team. i think Kiernan will start over Senderos (if he signs before registration deadline) and i have that feeling garner starts on bench. I hope i am wrong with that 1 though.

2.) 26 Aug 2016 10:20:59
We are that good we don't even need a goalie! Who's playing backie/ goalie?

3.) 26 Aug 2016 10:27:28

No keeper is a bit brave lol.

6.) 26 Aug 2016 11:27:07
Senderos won't start the guys no even a Rangers player yet and I'd drop Barry maybe he will wake up abit this is a must win and a wake up kille r a poor team we need to turn them over tonight or we r going to get turned over all season.

7.) 26 Aug 2016 13:06:44
Hope Garner plays, looking forward to seeing this boy as seems to be able to put himself about. Something we have missed, need a strong player who will let the opposition know he is there and same goes for big Senderos, If he can stay fit he won't be pushed about. c'mon the Gers.

8.) 26 Aug 2016 13:53:50
A brave and interesting selection MV-no keeper and 9 on the subs bench! Seriously though-don't think Senderos would have played tonight even if he signed in time which I don't think he has so it will be the dynamic duo in the centre of defence and let's hope they improve-Barton will start despite his fairly average displays so far and don't think Holt is back in full training yet so I'd get Niko on for 60 min to be replaced by Windass (if fit) or move Forrester back there and bring on MOH as I think it will be the same front three as Saturday with Garner coming on after an hour. This time though let's get tore into them from the off and take our early chances, Saturday might have been a different game if Miller had scored from that early chance-they'll want to sit in find their shape and hit us on the break (what's new, eh? ) So let's not let them settle score an early goal or two they'll have to come out to try and get back into it then we can really get our pass and move style going and take them apart for a confidence boosting comfortable win. Simple as that but as they say the game is played on grass (or synthetic in this case) so a win keeping a clean sheet might have to do. Personally I'd like to hear Bully 1's score prediction as he called it right on Saturday.

9.) 26 Aug 2016 14:05:50
Just seen the No Goalie lol! My Bad

But I like the Seekers idea of Backie In Goalie, so let's play Clint Hill Backie In the nite lol.

10.) 26 Aug 2016 14:20:38
We are playing any man save lol.

11.) 26 Aug 2016 14:31:28
We could give him big Kenny Everett gloves and we would be fine lol.

12.) 26 Aug 2016 14:42:39
I just hope senderos will be a rangers player by then and we can see how he does and garner aswell I think this boy will be a great addition to the squad.

25 Aug 2016 09:33:56
I for one will take the signing of Senderos, all day long. We now have a possibility of him and Crooks when match fit being our new CB pairing.

Crooks has pace. Really good with the ball at his feet and is physically imposing at 6.4" so a think we can all relax a bit more now as technically we have 5 CB.

Senderos is a no nonsense player also, big boy like Crooks, physicality at CB is essential in premiership so I for one am happy with this signing. Another Free trf, wages won't be crazy, he is 31 so still got another few years ahead injuries permitting.

Now let's go for 55 now!

M3LV0

1.) 25 Aug 2016 09:48:23
It's going to be hard, but that's my thinking before the team has gelled, so when everyone is fit and playing regularly then we will find out how good we are. let's hope were awesome lol
Btw garner to score on his debut tomorrow,3-1 Rangers, thoughts bears.

2.) 25 Aug 2016 10:05:46
Crooks isn't a CB, even he questioned why everyone keeps saying he should play there. The lad is a midfielder, that if need be can slot into the defense.

3.) 25 Aug 2016 10:19:39
Changing a centre half pairing is a disaster waiting to happen anybody who's played the game knows that what makes CB's good is knowing their partner is just as capable as them. Wilson i think is the main stay and he'll either continue with Kiernan as MW rates him or he'll be paired with Senderos/ Crooks.

I take the position that Crooks might be deployed in the middle for harder games kinda like Ball did last year for a physical presence. I think we'll all agree we need balance in the midfield, energy, protection for the defence and a creative influence. Krancjar fully fit will be amazing in there and i like Windass' direct approach.

24 Aug 2016 16:18:46
Fellow Bears I am looking for help/ advice/ thoughts/ opinions on an person issue.

A close friend of mines a life long Rangers fan, has been diagnosed with terminal "C", told 12 month, this was about 2 months ago. He is only 33.

I have 2 season tickets at Ibrox and my dad is giving up his seat so I can take him to the New Year game against Celtic as he never been to one.

I would dearly love to try and get him to Parkhead for the Game next month as this is something that he would love and has never done before either.

Ideally a would love to be with him for, as he has mobility difficulties as its his leg/ pelvis effected, but these tickets are gold dust and getting just 1 would be hard enough.

Does anyone know what I could do to try and get him there for this match? Do you think any supporters clubs could help, or do you think Rangers or Celtic Could help if I tried to contact them directly.

Any assistance, help, thoughts, suggestions would be really appreciated here.

Thanks in advance.

M3LV0

1.) 24 Aug 2016 16:25:37
have you shared this on twitter mate.

2.) 24 Aug 2016 16:36:31
You could speak to both clubs. Get in touch with Rangers and Celtic see if there's anything they can do.

3.) 24 Aug 2016 16:47:54
Get in touch with celtic directly mate, i'm sure they will be able to help, I hope you can get the help your friend needs to watch, God bless.

4.) 24 Aug 2016 17:04:50
youngcam, I am a technophobe don't do twitter or social media in general really.

bhoywonder, thanks for your input, could you share the post on your site to see if anyone in the know happens to read it sir? I will have a look on your website to see if there is a email address so I can contact clubs directly.

any other help would be appreciated folks, thanks again.

5.) 24 Aug 2016 17:10:00
Sorry to hear about your friends condition.

Best of luck getting tickets.

6.) 24 Aug 2016 17:17:50
I posted on our page asking for any help M3 but with your post on the celtic page i wouldn't imagine it will go up, Our Ed is a diamond mate and if there's any advice he can give you i'm sure he will. I LOVE COMING ON HERE FOR THE WIND UP PAL BUT THAT MEANS NOTHING WITH SITUATIONS LIKE THIS, I TRULY HOPE YOUR mate CAN GO TO THE GAME. God bless.

7.) 24 Aug 2016 17:27:58
Sorry to hear this M3 but i wouldn't know were to start mate. On another note to Bhoywonder, i think your post shows your class mate, i know we like to wind each other up but somethings are just more serious in life. well played mate👍.

8.) 24 Aug 2016 17:37:18
Thanks BhoyWonder

I have emailed Celtic Pulic Relations and Support Liaison Officers and put it to them

explained the advice to contact them for from from a Celtic fan that loved to have good old Glasgow banter on the Rangers fans page lol

I will post any outcome with any response received. If you have any word from your end, could you post it here but ask ed to email me directly in case I miss the post.

your spot on mate, we all love our banter and our teams but times like this just shows it all goes out the window and Glasgow people will help each other no matter if they have green or blue blood.

9.) 24 Aug 2016 18:09:42
I read your not a fan of social media M3 but it can help in situations like this, Maybe the bears on this page can put it on their twitter or Facebook page, if its ok with you mate ill fire a post up myself, And your correct pal, imo it should go out the window with situations like this, hope you get the result you want, just not on the tenth 😄 Good luck pal.

10.) 24 Aug 2016 18:19:41

M3LVO sorry to hear about your friend, horrible disease.
But my suggestion is, contact Celtic as the host club and ask if they can help, I am sure they may be able to arrange something. Good Luck to your friend and yourself.

Call me crazy. But I can almost make sure your friend goes to any game he wants by treating his cancer. I need to know afew personal things tho. Firstly what type of cancer he has and also has he had chemo/ radiation therapy yet? I would love to help and have done a lot of research in this field. If u csn get back to me on here then I'll give u my email and we can take it further. Regards.

23.) 24 Aug 2016 21:49:42
Shit news for your mate!

I hope he can enjoy the time he has and good luck sorting this out for him.

All the best M3LVO.

24.) 24 Aug 2016 21:53:26
Bartonisblue

Thanks for response

He has bone cancer effecting pelvis area. Had chemo and it doubled in size gave him 12 month prognosis he just finished 20 sessions of radio and is in hospital as it burnt the skin clean off his thigh, groin and behind. The radio was to assist with pain releif but basically there nothing else they can do now.

If u could make any contribution to help out here I would be grateful. Cheers sir.

25.) 24 Aug 2016 22:52:44
I love nothing more than winding up the guys from the other side on here but have to say the Sellik fans have shown real class regarding this issue so fair play to them 👏🏼
Hopefully your pal is able to attend this match and that his remaining time is as pain free as possible.
🔴⚪️🔵.

Hope you get a ticket for your friend M3LVO my younger bro is also battling cancer . Lives in Sweden we had him over fir Celtic game what a great day so hope you get likewise . M3LVO is also be really interested in your theory if that's possible please.

27.) 26 Aug 2016 02:25:45
Not making any medical claims here.
I'm very sorry m3. Bone cancer is unfortunately incurable. The original cancer must have come from somewhere else initially. No one gets bone cancer from the off. But the main problem is the fact that he has had radiation in the first place. It and chemo makes cancer worse.

The only thing I can suggest for him now is too cut out sugar and carbs in his diet straight away! Cancer feeds off of sugar and carbs turn into sugar when digested. Also he has to go straight onto a raw fruit and veg diet immediately! I suggest getting a blender to blitz it all down into a smoothie. (easier to drink) if he sticks to tht for months he will see a difference.

Also there is something called Bravo yoghurt (look it up) it can treat stage 1-3 cancer. I'm honestly not sure about bone cancer but hey its really worth a shot. It's very pricey though. Honestly mate, do some research on this an you will be amazed. I really do hope your pal gets better.

a hope FORZA is correct, ball would be a real capture if we can get him back, think perm signing with spurs first option buy back or spurs with 20-30% sell on clause sounds likely!

Crooks will be a CB this year with the Pish we have at the back

Halliday, Rossiter, Holt, Barton can fight it out for the 2 DM positions, good completion and squad rotation would sort that out fine.

his recent comments were that he does not know were he will be deployed. He and DW spoke and DW told him to narrow your options by saying your only one position when you can play other positions.

The big man said he will play were ever he can get a game for the Bears. (And looking at our team his most likely chance is CB unless he is out of this world and takes barton and Rositters places.

He also said he likes to attack and if in midfield he not just able to play DM he can do the box to box.
