Is it just me or does anyone else think that the lad oduwa needs to start releasing the ball earlier watched the game last night and he is definitely a player with a lot of potential but at times can be a bit greedy in possession fancy flicks and tricks are good to watch and see but at times just find a team mate rather than try showboating a few times he went past a player then went back to beat him again when we are losing 3-1

IF2015

Oduwa just faced a slightly harder and better quality of defender and marking he is at Rangers for exactly that reason to toughen him up as the defenders in the EPL are lightyears ahead of SPFL and he needs to be far sharper/tougher before Spurs will want to risk him in EPL.

One bonus is the Atletico Madrid attention might well fade a bit now lolol

He is on loan to learn,,,,, that's why we got him and that's why we have the other loaness.
The point being once they do start learning and will be off.......with us making nothing other than their games played.
This will unfortunately be the norm for a number of years as we can't afford to buy in the transfer markets like we use too.
There is also the worry that maybe this is exactly why he is out on loan.... simple facts may be that he is just not good enough to play in a higher league now or ever.

3.) 23 Sep 2015 17:05:58
IF 2015: Agree, he is some player but he does overdo it and I noticed last night he took one more flick or move when he could have gone past his guy, he has done that often, if only he would be more direct and get the ball in quicker.

4.) 25 Sep 2015 08:56:01
Yeah i think the lad will have a bright future he just needs to learn that he needs to walk before he can run so to speak once you have gone past your man get that pass away or cross delivered when we are winning 3-1 by all means show us a bit of trickery but when we are behind just knuckle down and do what is needed and that's not showboating

Scott allan has officially signed for celtic its on sky sports news, I just hope our great fans show why we are the greatest fans around and leave the lad to get on with his move to celtic and not to slate or abuse him on social media sites etc as its his loss not ours as the manager says we only want players who want to play for the rangers jersey

Good luck to the boy. WATP

2.) 14 Aug 2015 23:16:28
I for one don't wish him well, if he can't wait 6 months to play for the team he supposedly supports then he can rot in that team for all I care, he's only loyal to where the money lies

3.) 14 Aug 2015 23:45:49
Good luck to Scott, We all know where you really wanted to be at, but we all understand you have to look after you're future,

4.) 15 Aug 2015 00:33:17
Mark warbutons comments today make no sense, Scott Allan handed in a transfer request on the back of rangers interest in him so to say he didn't want to play for rangers is a complete cop out as he clearly did. The fact rangers pissed hibs off with the level5 pish to the extent they approached Celtic rather than sell to rangers is nobodies fault but the boards. They could have bought Allan if they'd offered a reasonable fee and given the boy a bit of an indication that they had they ambition to back up the spin that comes out on a daily basis. Scott Allan is now a Celtic player because rangers didn't convince him they really wanted him enough

First time poster been reading the site for a while and with all the talk on the management situation I personally would like to see Warburton as manager with weir his number two and the lad cathro involved aswell as a first team coach or head of youth development I know its probably asking a bit much but surely that is the sort of appointments we should be looking at? Just wondering what your thoughts are on your favourite candidate for the post?

IF2015

1.) 14 Jun 2015 08:01:46
I don't think Cathro would be interested in Head of Youth Development job, he's just stepped down as assistant manager of one of a top European club. He wants to be his own man and I personally think he will either be at Rangers as head coach or he won't be there at all

2.) 14 Jun 2015 09:07:53
Cathro has left Valencia for a reason and that is most likely to take his final coaching badges. If he could work with Warburton and Weir at Rangers it would be the perfect 'next stage' in his development with him learning from Warburton, (who is considered to be one of the best managers in the game. Warburton is in his 50's and I suspect would be at Rangers for maybe three years, Cathro is already on record as saying that he wants to be a first team coach within five years so a dream team of Warburton, Weir and Cathro could happen. Worryingly I have seen nothing so far to suggest that King is ambitious enough to follow this route meaning that we will end up with Stuart McCall and that would be seriously bad news.

3.) 14 Jun 2015 09:52:57
Warburton considered one of the best managers in the game! U havin a laugh! Where do use get this from honestly! 2 years at Brentford and he's one of the best in the game! Dear oh dear! And workin in Scotland's 2nd tier as one of the best in the games assistants would be the next stage in this boy Cathros development after workin in la liga with Valencia!! your at the wind up pal!

IF2015
Welcome to Rangers Roumers, good first post I'd certainly go along with something like that young Cathro has a lot to offer and we do need someone in charge of scouting, look forward to reading your posts!

5.) 14 Jun 2015 11:49:57
Got to agree with Dan here.I'd love to have Warburton at the Club, but I don't know about this"one of the best managers in the game"caper.I despair at times!

One of my co workers is a jambo and season ticket holder for hearts and he has said a few times over the last few weeks that the rumour doing the rounds at tynecastle is that we are getting sow on a pre contract at the end of the season and he is usually pretty reliable with his info. Not sure myself though.

He is still on the books of a spanish team apparently but is in talks with them to let him go on a free the lad was supposed to be the next big thing at Barcelona but unfortunately didn't make the breakthrough there and has since been with a number of other teams including man city hopefully he starts to produce some of the ability that got him the rave reviews as a young lad and it adds some more talent to our ranks.

TV saying we are close to signing a premier league player on loan doesn't state who though who do we think it could be?

Been reported on sky sports news that he has handed in a written transfer request and stubbs has stated that he will not be sold to rangers as we are hibs main rival for the championship if another team ie premiership team bids an acceptable amount they may sell but he did say no matter how much money rangers offer hibs won't sell to us, also states aberdeen and dundee united have made enquiries regarding SA

Thats my point why sign the other keeper in the first place if its to sit on the bench for 6 months? Surely one of our under 21 keepers could fill that space save on wages and get some experience of training with the first team as i can't see gotmanski replacing foddy anytime soon.

Players to leave would be:
Templeton too many injuries
Clark imo not good enough for spfl
Aird again imo not good enough
Sheils could use his wages on a better standard of player
Zelalam return to own club
Ball return to own club
Bell injury prone
Forrester imo not good enough
Gotmanski unsure why signed in first place
That would surely free up enough wages to attract at least 4-5 players who are of a better standard to compete in the spfl.

There will be money there but if you take into account that there was a scouting dept to set up all other staff that MW has got on board like nutritionists and backroom staff plus players we have already brought in there is their wages to pay on top of that and any ground work costs it all adds up so there probably has been a few million already spent when DK said he will put X amount in i don't think it was meant as all that money will go on players it will be spread across the full club to put righr areas that in recent years have been neglected.

How many times have english clubs done this to scottish teams for their best talent and nothing is mentioned about it so i think its a bit out of order of the A C chairman to be slating rangers for their conduct if he is so desperate to keep them offer them better deals its clear these lads want to leave so let them go at a price that suits both parties and move on its just sour grapes imo.

Would think it would be the ex Barcelona lad hooly i'm sure MW would be wanting to see him in some sort of competitive action.
