Wages aside, we have only spent about 8mil. 5mil for katic and goldson, 2mil for barasic and 1mil for murphy. These are obv approx figures. Pedro spent more. With windass likely to be sold that could bring outlay down to 6.5mil if we use some of windass fee to get lafferty. I know we have paid some players off also. Did we get a fee for alves and ohal? Can't remember, all in all I think we went about our buisness very well.

I find this a strange signing. we already have arfield, dorrans, jack, rossiter, Docherty, holt, windass and mcrorie that play central midfield. Surely if we are bringing more central midfielders they should be off a higher proven standard,

I'm underwhelmed by this. When was the last youth player we took from another club to truly work out. Closest is Weiss and that was years ago. We've had, frankly, junk since then.

Forrester holt halliday docherty won't play. Windass may be sold yet. I like jack but think if rossiter can stay fit is the better player plus knows gerrard very well

Explain why uou think Ryan Jack is good enough for us. We all know he's prone to a yellow / red cards. We need 11 players on the pitch. For me the lad is not good enough for Rangers.

Think Docherty will stay aswel but is nowhere near good enough for starting 11. Was pretty poor games he played. I liked ryan jack, how many times he get sent off that wasnt recinded twice? He was 1 of our better mids when playing i thought. And with windass, Gerrard sayin he's not inviti g bids will only be to drive price up. Think holt will end up back at Hearts. McCrorie Jack and Rossiter all defensive mid. and let's be honest nobody know what formation will be played. How would fans react if he came in and played 2 holding midfielders and 1 up top. Same formation haha.

With this signng and the others i'm beging to think we have been lied to again by king and Board, we will be lucky to come second with young loan signings and free transfers, surely Gerrard was promised a good amount of transfer kitty before he took the job, now if he has been lied to aswell as us bears i guarantee he will walk by the end of the season if not before.

More than Gio need to go. McGregor, McLaughlin, Davis Jack and arguably Arfield need to go and be replaced with players of similar or better quality. We can't keep playing Tavernier when he is clearly struggling but it would appear that we don't have a good enough backup right back to replace him. We still haven't replaced Defoe and we are struggling at Centre Back because we lost Goldson and are having to rely on young King and Davies in an untried partnership because we signed a guy with one of the worst injury histories in the Scottish League just like we have brought in other players, Roofe and Helander, who were injury prone when they arrived.

You know it was only 5 months ago Gio was considered to ya shrewd coach, Gerard had gone and we were in a great position just got into Europa final . All that's happened player wise all we e done is lost Bassey and Aribo. Is it their loss or is it suddenly the coached aren't quite what we thought?
Or is it that we now expect more? Interested to hear what folk think.

Problem we haven't refreshed the first 11. Kent and Alfie should've been away in summer and 3 or 4 1st team players brought in but we now look a tired team with no real quality especially defensivly.

I tend to agree with OneWalter. We are still relying on players like McGregor, Davis, and Arfield. Kent and Morelos don't really look interested, and sadly, neither does Kamara. We haven't replaced these guys in terms of sheer quality. Add to that the fact that too many of the players we bring in, even if they have potential take six months to a season to bed in. We still lack quality, too many 'squad' players.

I think that Goldson and Davis should form a good partnership. King is a great prospect that should be on the bench now as cover and first pick for injuries. We are a tired team but it would seem next year is now the time to freshen the team with as many as 12 out of contract. As for Gio. We didn’t win the league but made the champs league including 2 extra home games. Last year we made the Europa final. So in a business sense he is performing. It would seem we now look at player development as a longer process and the years of spending 20 million are well gone. Between 2012 and 2019 we won nothing of note. Between 2020 and 2023 we have won the league, Scottish cup, Europe League Final and now Champions League group stage. Nothing being done until Christmas. However fully expect our average age to be lower next year.

Rangers just didn't get the investment in the summer. Gio needs at least another window and some players back from injury. Goldson, Helenader, souttar, Lawrence, Roofe, Morelos still not fit as well as sporadic injuries to Ryan Jack.

Wednesday and today's performance is awful. Having said that the board have not invested in the playing staff so there is guilt on that side too.
