Interim manager is to be in place by the weekend. It's just till end of season as he does not want the job full time. Search will continue for the full time manager but the interim is Richard Gough.

Hope not no experience we do want to finish 2nd and still have an outside chance of the Scottish cup. need to get back into Europe would help to bring a better calibre of player in

2.) 14 Feb 2017 17:42:42
So we had a inixperienced manager for 2years in warbutton and we are bring gough in he has no managerial experience at all what would the point be in that that won't help a bit.

No thanks

What has Steven Gerrard done in management to make him a contender.

3.) 14 Feb 2017 17:10:38
wouldn't want any of stevie G's problems up here.
anyone know why he never went anywhere else?

Nothing at all but maybe he could be persuaded to become player manager. Even at his age he would be far better than what we have in midfield.

I can't believe we would want big eck back in the top seat. Have we all forgot the boring negative football. A team with 6 centre halves in the team and not to forget Marvin andrews up front surely not. I stand by the rangers team but under him it was hard to watch.

if it gets us 2nd I'll take it.

In difficult circumstances following Advocaat's overspending and against a good Celtic team under Martin O'Neill, McLeish still managed to win 2 league titles, 2 Scottish Cups, 3 League Cups and a treble! . He also made Rangers the first Scottish club to qualify from the group stages of the Champions League and we reached the last 16 before losing out on goal difference to Villareal. McLeish has passion, something he also had as a great player. Bring him in as Director of Football now with Kenny Miller stepping back as player/ coach until the end of the season. We could then look to bring in Frank de Boer in the summer with McLeish staying on as DOF.

I would wager that the 'boring, negative' football would get us more points, and we would have a far better goal difference than +6. The defence would be tightened up too. For a short term fix, I think Mcleish is probably the answer.

4.) 14 Feb 2017 11:00:47
He also was in charge of Scotland when they beat France in Paris with the McFadden wonder goal which won't look bad on his CV.

5.) 14 Feb 2017 12:06:20
he was also in charge when we got beat off Georgia too!

6.) 14 Feb 2017 11:57:55
6 defenders is better than the none we have the now

7.) 14 Feb 2017 14:27:30
I don't get why people are against "boring" football, especially with the state we are in. The only thing that matters are results right now. Remember when hibs had mowbray and everyone said they played "the best football and most exciting style in Scotland", what did they win? Hee haw!

I'm not so sure any manager could tighten up the defence with the players we have now. Senderos and Kiernan are atrocious. Hill's form has dipped and Wilson makes a lot of mistakes when he is actually fit. Maybe Bates will be better however it's difficult for him to come into a struggling side.

Stewie,

He might tell them they are just defenders though, rather than thinking they are Brazil.

1.) 04 Feb 2017 17:05:50
Leave walter alone, he's done enough for us

2.) 04 Feb 2017 17:15:55
Walter until the end of the season makes some sense so long as we don't let him choose his replacement. A lot of our current problems stem from McCoist and McDowall!

Whoever comes in as our next permanent manager needs to be given funds to invest in the team and we need to get the appointment correct. Just look at the transformation in Celtic with basically the same players but with a good quality manager.

3.) 04 Feb 2017 18:21:25
i think its time to show everyone that we are still one the biggest and best clubs in britain and push the boat out for a top appointment someone that makes scottish football sit up and take notice someone that is going to make celtic think there is a real threat across the city, when celtic brought in rogers it gave them a real shot in the arm, boosted season ticket sales etc we need someone in that will have same effect. i'd go for Alan Pardew

4.) 04 Feb 2017 18:04:18
Walter won't touch it with yours. No money No walter.

5.) 04 Feb 2017 18:05:11
We can't keep turning to Walter, has the sheep still got a game in hand?
That's hearts catching up also.

6.) 04 Feb 2017 18:22:07
Think we need to aim bit higher than tommy wright no disrespect to him

7.) 04 Feb 2017 19:01:14
Alan Pardew is going to make Scotland sit up and take notice. omg that's absolutely hilarious
