Naismith regretting the comments on our club prior to leaving 2012. Makes me wonder if we have NOW made an enquiry for his services? Thoughts fellow bears?

Hope not

2.) 01 Jul 2017 18:27:07
he can take a jump in the clyde

3.) 01 Jul 2017 18:57:17
Disagree bout comments he made but think he would enhance our team.

4.) 01 Jul 2017 19:02:20
I'd take him back. We've all made mistakes and he clearly took advice from agents, etc. He's admitted he's made a mistake. What else can he do? If he comes back and scores goals which he would do then I'm sure we'd all get behind him.

5.) 01 Jul 2017 19:43:08
we need some scottish players in the squad that can add quality and naismith certainly falls into this catergory him along with dorrans and walker would certainly strenghen the team i still feel we are still short of another good player for centre mid and need another one on top of dorrans

6.) 01 Jul 2017 20:03:20
He'd have to crawl all the way around Ibrox on broken glass pleading for forgiveness before I'd be happy to see him in a Rangers jersey. And even then it'd be a close call!

7.) 01 Jul 2017 20:08:05
No chance.

8.) 01 Jul 2017 21:02:25
At this moment in time ANY player who would enhance our team/ squad can only be a good thing . What Naismith said was wrong and should never be forgotten, I remember fans up in arms when we resigned Kenny Miller after he had played for them and we all know how that's turned out as he really has been superb for us, I know the circumstances are different but if he did come back and had the same impact or scored the goals that Kenny has how can that be a bad thing?

And although the things he said as he left were wrong, embarrassing (to himself as well as us ) ans should never be forgotten at least he didn't hide away and secretly try and stitch the club up like a certain Mr Weir who under NO circumstance should ever be welcomed in any capacity at Ibrox.

If Naismith did come back it would divide the fans massively and no one's opinion is wrong, everyone is rightly entitled to their own opinion and this one is mine

9.) 01 Jul 2017 21:30:01
I would take him too but that interview was 3 weeks ago.

10.) 01 Jul 2017 21:39:36
It's all about the future, i would have naismith back

11.) 02 Jul 2017 00:01:14
Would he enhance the Rangers team? Minor sure he ain't exactly the same Naismoth that left Rangers nor the one that played at Everton I think he is getting on a bit now.

12.) 02 Jul 2017 08:42:55
I completely disagree what what he said but the situation was a mess and he was badly advised.

For me the bottom line is he would improve the team so I would take him back.

I could see him being more on Niko's wavelength when it comes to runs and getting the best out of his passes

We all seem to be very torn on the Naismith issue

13.) 02 Jul 2017 13:18:07
Everything with Naismith is in the past. If he is going to improve the team then, if Pedro wants him, got him in. Onwards and upwards stop looking at the past

14.) 03 Jul 2017 12:46:40
Cannot forgive Snakesmith for his comments however if a player is willing to take a massive pay cut and would improve our team then through gritted teeth why not.

After that embarrassment last night and and the new appointment of dof in Mark Allen due in on Monday what are everyone's thoughts on the season ahead? In regards to signings performances and relations between manager and dof.
Imo I'm expecting us to drop points to hibs hearts Aberdeen the manky mob and maybe St Johnston.

I don't think the blame can be laid at the feet of any player particularly from what I saw of the game. Although Rangers were expected to easily see off Progress I think, if any positives are to be taken from the game, that the Luxembourg team were not given the credit they deserved. They actually did look well organised at the back. Also Rangers were unlucky in the away tie hitting the post/ bar etc on several occasions. In respect of earlier post re captaincy I think the manager should waste no time in appointing Alves to the role. It might unload some of the pressure on Lee Wallace and allow him to turn into the decent player we know he can be. Hopefully Danny Wilson will also benefit from Alves's experience. Add Dorrans and another midfielder, plus improving the fitness of the squad will hopefully lead to better results.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 03:16:41
Alves should be given the captains armband but I doubt that will have a positive impact on Wallace defensively. He is good going forward but he is a very poor defender.

Full backs need to go!

1.) 06 Jul 2017 13:18:07
Especially the one that has the audacity to call himself the team captain! Never a leader in a million years and a pretty useless defender that hides in every game. Young Rossiter, a 20 year old just back from almost a year's absence was more of a leader than Wallace tonight and who was it came out to apologise yes Rossiter again. Where was Wallace, hiding again.

Never a captain, Never ever. Our next signings have to be a couple of quality full backs and the sooner that Wallace loses the captaincy the better.

There's a few points to why these guys were crap here but good elsewhere. Managers tactics for the spl were way off, that goes for pedro too. The dressing room split from the joey barton saga. Lack of confidence and the immense pressure of playing for a club like rangers and the passion and frustrated fans.

Of course they should be up there with the best in our country! It's supposed to be a two horse race league. Iv said it before and I'll say it again. It'll be the same rangers as least year with those 2 full backs

Scott dog. wingers in general are played on their opposite side so they can cut in on their stronger foot. Did that never occur to you? It is a globally used tactic!

Bazzabear. Where's your proof that they're both "best fullbacks in the country"? Totally disagree with this. They have only played in the championship and had a good season one year then a dreadful season after that in the spl.

Andy1872. You for real?
What about getting the first team fit and gelled together before anything as we couldn't beat a sh#t team from Luxembourg! The youngsters are worst than our first team so god knows how bad that team u put up would be.
Sorry but I'm just so frustrated with the team and manager. We're trying to run before we can even walk.
