The timing of Durant leaving and the transfer window opening. I'm hoping it means a bigger name being offered a player coach role to entice them. Thoughts?

change isn't always good but warbs started with youths so he must see the bigger picture just hope he brings in the right person our future is with youth players breaking threw so I'm confident he's got it spot on with a change plus durrants wages would have been alright as he's been here since white and green were robbing our club hope he moves on and does well I met him once in a pub in Kilmarnock and he signed my mates birthday card twice he's a good guy just time to move on good luck.

2.) 09 Jun 2016 16:55:51
Best of luck to Ian Durrant for the future - a Rangers legend.

3.) 09 Jun 2016 18:20:32
Durrant's departure is nothing more than a cost cutting exercise as he was on 200K a year.

4.) 09 Jun 2016 19:34:30
BossHogg

Unless Durrant was working his notice then I don't think it will really save us much money. Tbh for £200k u would have expected better results but our youth team is average at best.

Sometimes you just need a fresh face.

6.) 09 Jun 2016 21:01:17
Like all above I wish he's blue, he's white, he's dynamite ian durrant all the very best of luck wherever his career now takes him, what a midfielder and a proper glasgow rangers legend durranty is! If not for a serious injury thrust upon him by the sheep midfielder who I can't even say then we would have had arguably the greatest rangers midfielder of all time, the wee man was in my era and is just a few years older than me, thanks for all the fantastic memories wee man, you'll always be part of the rangers family and always welcome back at ibrox where the fans love you, wee durranty bleeds red, white and blue!

Guys, everyone is getting excited about who Rangers are going to BUY but do you think we will SELL anyone?

Coops_left_foot

1.) 13 May 2016 10:16:14
I doubt we will sell anyone. It'll be a case of getting rid of the out of contract players for now. that being said, Cammy Bell might be used as a swap for a new goalkeeper.

2.) 13 May 2016 11:03:57
What would happen if a reasonable offer came in tho' that would be interesting. Say £1m for tav, wouldn't like us to sell, great profit but would rather keep, thoughts?

3.) 13 May 2016 13:13:56
OUT

ZAL
BALL
LAW
CLARK
TEMPLETON
possibly SHIELDS and BELL

IN

CROOKS
WINDAS
ROSSITER

that is a very good start and this season not even done yet, I think we will be in really good shape,

we need good experienced CB and 30 goal proven striker and some cover on the flanks for RB/ LB.

4.) 13 May 2016 10:17:25
I suppose we'd listen to offers like any other club.
I hope we get some for Wilson and duly accept.

5.) 13 May 2016 23:27:10
Every player will have a price and if a club meets it I'm sure the player will be gone. I'm sure part of Warburton's remit will be to develop players to move on for bigger fees.

Ok guys bit more lighthearted post after all the transfer arguing lol.
If there was a trophy tomorrow for player of the year, who would get your vote?
Gotta be Waghorn for me, exceptional work rate and for a guy who's not a striker supposedly doesn't half score some amount of goals.

Not sure, but I would put forward MacKay as most improved.

2.) 22 Jan 2016 19:08:35
Think James Tavenier has got to be in the running.

BruisedBear, as a manager who has just completed some courses on disciplinary procedures you'd be amazed how difficult it is to actually get rid of someone. It normally takes months going through the correct procedures. I don't see anything that warrants an outright sacking without Barton suing for unfair dismissal. Even if he was face to face with Warburton and screaming obscenities at his team mates. Almost every manager and pundit, has publicly stated these sort of bust ups happen in football.

Definitely don't think this is cost cutting, it is mentioned on this site Durrant is on £200k, if true I'm sure a decent replacement would cost at least the same.

Neither going to agree or argue with TPP but he at least backs up his arguments with valid points, welcome the banter TPP.

BigAndy, that's the figure Liverpool can quote any English clubs looking to buy him, as with Danny Ings the fee however would probably be decided by a tribunal and won't be anywhere near that fee.

No need for any sell back agreement, he's a free agent. Just a development fee needs to be paid.

Waghorn also did this during the summer, I'm sure the video was posted on here around July. Good luck to the guy, nothing wrong with trying to get better, at least he realises he needs to.

Put RRL into liquidation as it has no products to sell, I think this is the line we will go down. Not sure how this will happen and the implications but surely it must now be a loss making company with no hope of making a profit so the directors are duty bound to do what's in the best interests of creditors and that would be liquidation. Not sure what happens then but just my thoughts.

Going to go with this team due to playing time so far:-
Wes,
Tav, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace (don't think MW will drop him)
Niko, Barton, Rossiter,
Waggy, Dodoo, Windass.

McKay, MOH and Forrester coming on as subs.
Think Holt has a knock.

Agree we need to be patient but is the lad not a free agent so Leicester cannot withhold registration. I think we are merely showing respect to Leicester and rightly so, and waiting until compensation fee is agreed before we play him. I think if push came to shove we could actually play him as I think terms have been agreed with the lad and we could let a tribunal decide if we couldn't agree.
