I head board new DM would knock us back. That allows time now for share issues to get new investment in whilst we run with Murty. New money from abroad being negotiated as well. It will all happen mid Jan. meantime we just need to grind out wins.

Why don't we just drop the Mciinnes stuff he is not coming to us end of, and for Steve McLaren I don't think he is the answer what does he know about Scottish football, get behind Graeme Murty for the next few games and try and gain as many points as we can that is the main thing at this moment.

Well said biglach

Get behind Murty and hopefully get a few more wins. Whoever we get, manager must get some funds and sell a few duds for new faces. If we have money why not bid for mccginn? Great player. Think he will head down south though.

We need to give Pedro a chance to build his team and gain a level of consistency. The two Mexicans will take a few months to bed in. Every club we face will park the bus. We need to stop the negativity, McInnes, McLeish, Mcanyone will not do better. We need two seasons with one manager to improve, there are no quick fixes.

All the comments about getting rid of Pedro or out of order. Give him time. Look at Man Utd, after last season would you have sacked Mourinho? No.

Instant success can't be bought. Long term strategy works, but needs time. We cannot live in the past, too many supporters look back the way.

Against Hearts they ended up with Lafferty playing left back and 6 at the back. We did that with Barcelona years ago and got a 0-0 result at Ibrox and Messi said we were anti football. So when it happens to us it's ignored!

Man Utd won the Europa league and the league cup. Man Utd qualified for the champions league so why would he have been sacked?

2.) 24 Aug 2017 10:52:14
Messi was just greeting because he couldn't score against the mighty gers.

3.) 24 Aug 2017 15:17:21
I say give him time or else we will be taking on and getting rid of manager after manager. Would be worth keeping him on for another season just to shove it up the mhanky media if nothing else, would hate them to feel they had played a part in his exit. Half the time it's as if they decree if he should stay or go.

Briggsboy I totally agree this sack the manager after three games is crazy we have had a complete overhaul of the team and it will take time we were never going to win the league this year and anyone who thought we would well I wonder what planet you live on this is a long term project right from the scouting system to youth teams to twenties through to first team all have to be overhauled.

we don't have the money to just go buy a first team and challenge for the title we need to challenge Aberdeen first get that second place and cut the points deficit on Celtic then keep building it will take time we are not as bad as a lot of people would have us believe yes not the start we would want, but on Sat we played some good football.

Hearts hardly threatened us one long range shot but other than that we were in control now I'm not for a minute saying Pedro is home and dry the jury is still out so for me I'll give him this season to get this team up to speed we've only played three games I want to see second and a good run in cups maybe a final and anything can happen then, but let's stop the negativity, it doesn't help the team.

let's back them to the hilt I've been a season ticket holder for longer than I can remember and I've been through the bad times sitting inside Ibrox with 13,000 fans there this team can get better if we stand with them

Agree with the lot apart from the mourinho bit mate, teams don't have quick fixes at this level unless you have at least comparable transfer budgets (there's a lot of good Portuguese players at a price) we know MacLeish was a fan of the lower leagues of France and came across some decent signings, however some not so decent, where would Mcinnes spend? The dregs of the Scottish premier? No one knows, maybe these guys will come good too, like the manager, a bit of time to get some consistency.

It's interesting that Candeais is a right footed player that plays on the right. When we had McKay, he was right footed but played mostly on the left, he very rarely had a chance on the right. Windass is right footed but is stuck on the left, as a result, he usually turns inside. If we bought a left footed player then that would great and give better balance. Someone that could cross properly and take free kicks. We also need another striker as Miller is too old and comes too deep (not what his wife says though lol)

I like Pedro but have to question Pena and Herrera signings.

I mentioned this towards the end of last season ( players on the opposite sides to their strongest foot) Mckay, Wags, but was shot down by other supporters, saying "this isn't the modern way ", but it still seems the obvious way to me, I don't remember wingers in the past being played on the side of their weakest foot!

2.) 21 Aug 2017 11:38:16
I agree Scotty and you can see it works with Candeais. He looks a great player: fast, great work rate, tackles, tracks back and is building a good rapport with Tav. Need the Buffalo and Windy to stay in the middle and poach goals.

3.) 21 Aug 2017 11:44:05
My sister dated miller just before he signed for us the 2nd time round and I can confirm his wife is correct that he doesn't go in that deep. He also likes to ask who's the king as he's about to put the ball in the net 😂😂

I heard that the Moult deal is done and he will join us next week. Not sure why we would sign him and let Garner go as they are very similar players.

Mark Allan should be driving closer links with Man City. Out next Manager should be a future Man City Manager.

Blackwoodbear, why mention Ashley then if you don’t care about him? He has sold his shares and agreed a legal deal on the Commercial shops. Has the current board lied about anything? Stop being paranoid, that’s for the other mob.

Who cares about him, there is no chance of him coming back anyway. We need to worry more about King and his plans. Remember, King and the three bears have a lot of loans with the club and they will want to push through another resolution at the AGM to allow them to convert the loans to shares. We also need more investment and I don’t think King has any appetite for us anymore, nor the required funds. Finding a new investor is a must for us.

Give Pedro time. His English is better than Jock Wallace’s. Compare how they got on. Instant success would be great, but you need hard work to get to the top over a long period. We are in transition. We still have a lot of players to get rid off and new ones to come in. Such as: Wallace, Wilson, Holt, Krancjar, Halliday, Windass, Miller, Rossiter ) (too injury prone) Hodson, from the first team squad. There 9 players that just aren’t good enough for the future. Pedro’s new players - 50% doing well, the other 50% will come good. Remember Hatley etc took a long time before they came good. There is no point investing in a new manager and not giving him time. If by March we are not second and out of cups then fine, up to then, give him 100%, nothing less.

Of course, the papers may well be making this up. The U20’s were well beaten by Leicester recently and Murty said they needed more experience. Who better to put into that team than Miller to use his experience and enthusiasm to help our future stars. Simple explanation that has been twisted into something else.
