Michael O'Neil for rangers?

Bluebole

1.) 12 Nov 2017 19:15:35
When the club last week released a statement saying they expect more applicants next week . i was thinking maybe they want to wait til after the qualifier to see if MON wants the job.

Thoughts lads?

2.) 12 Nov 2017 19:17:13
Bluenose might have a point. If the board have a short list surely Michael o'Neil is surely one of the runners now that NI are out of the WC. Could the board have been waiting for this outcome?
It would certainly make sense

3.) 12 Nov 2017 19:45:20
Have to agree with the papers. Top managers don’t apply for jobs they’re sounded out. Hope the hold up isn’t a bad sign.

4.) 12 Nov 2017 19:50:38
Lives in Edinburgh apparently and has taken NI as far as he can, must be a contender IMO. Would have him before McInnes.

5.) 12 Nov 2017 20:47:39
Yip gio or oneill for me

6.) 12 Nov 2017 20:59:00
I’ve been thinking the same thing. Time will tell I guess

7.) 12 Nov 2017 21:39:19
I'd take him in a minute

8.) 12 Nov 2017 22:27:45
No not good enough

9.) 12 Nov 2017 22:47:02
MOn is not up to the task. We also can’t catch Celtic with two republicans managing either side of OF

10.) 12 Nov 2017 23:10:05
Time will tell. I think we will know before December, whoever it may be.

11.) 12 Nov 2017 23:44:57
Michael Andrew Martin Oneil, the Catholic that managed Shamrock Rovers. God i can see the media already 😱

12.) 12 Nov 2017 23:45:49
Alex Mcleish, go get the big man

13.) 12 Nov 2017 23:51:40
Having watched ni consistently punching above there weight under O'Neil then he would be a fantastic appointment! Surely a decent job in England is calling though.

14.) 13 Nov 2017 08:24:36
For all those not wanting michael o'neil because he is a Catholic, you should be ashamed of yourself. I served three times in Ireland with the army I've experienced the troubles and the Ira full on, I hate the Ira and sinn fine with a passion but I do not hate people for being Catholic. I've experienced bigotry there but also on building sites in Scotland I've lost jobs because of peoples views on the army and what I took from it was I hated bigotry as in my opinion the orange order are exactly the same small minded fools. Half the God save the queen brigade in Scotland would never dream if serving in the armed forces as it is a bit too real and far removed from walking down the street to a flute band. Too many that want to talk a good fight but in reality couldn't hit home on a wet night and their hatred us based on an inferiority complex maybe mummy and daddy didn't love you enough but know this you ain't living in reality

15.) 13 Nov 2017 08:52:30
He's a top football manager that looks to get the best out of average players, his religion shouldn't have anything to do with it. It's 2017.

16.) 13 Nov 2017 09:23:19
Michael one I'll the Catholic man ?

Some people who support rangers need to get a life who cares whether there a Catholic jew etc etc if they take the gers job and win the league etc are you still going to say that piss I don't think so you be to much cheering and celebrating the same as the manager and players at the club

Rangers fc don't need fans who still think all this Catholic piss etc times have moved on get over it get a life and support who ever comes in

What has really done my head in over the past 50years is all this udaipur uvf uff piss this question is for all WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY GOT TO DO WITH RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB? nothing in my eyes rangers are a football club nothing more nothing less we don't need and never had needed all that sectarian vile piss that daft still try and sing to this day you want to sing you sectarian piss keep it in your own house go to Ireland and sing were they 3 mentioned belong and keep it away from rangers fc as it has f. A. to do with them

17.) 13 Nov 2017 09:38:52
For all those thinking MON is the man for Rangers just because he done a good job for NI wake up there is no comparison in getting a squad of countrymen to work hard and pull together to qualify for world cups and euro finals compared to getting our Rangers side full of men from all round the world to pull together every singal weekend and get results this guy has no cv to speak off apart from doing a decent job with NI please do not back this man for the job we can’t afford any more punts we need the right man in right now.

18.) 13 Nov 2017 09:52:32
that will be mcinnes no doubt it will all end in tears with him mark my words

19.) 13 Nov 2017 10:03:03
And just to be clear I have no problems with catholics or protestants I couldn’t care less about religion but MON’s club career consists of Brechin City and shamrock rovers and his win % was nothing to crow about with either of those clubs so for me this is a massive NO we need a manager with a proven track record in the transfer market and some one with big club experience that know what it’s like to have to win every weekend MON has none of those things

20.) 13 Nov 2017 10:29:45
Truebluesotrue no in our current poisson I’ve said before and I’ll say again I’d like big Eck with Murty as his no2

21.) 13 Nov 2017 10:30:39
Gary 75!
Loving your post lad!
I did not serve but feel the exact same. Proud you are one of us!

22.) 13 Nov 2017 10:31:28
BTW Michael O'Neill is now being linked with the Scotland job! I'd rather he went there as I believe it is a role he is more suited for.

23.) 13 Nov 2017 10:34:08
the thing that worrys me about oneil is he doesn't have much experiance at mananaging a club team only shamrock rovers and brechin.

24.) 13 Nov 2017 10:45:13
Highland, what does French fish have to do with our hunt for a manger.

25.) 13 Nov 2017 11:16:54
STYAB you’ll need to explain that one to me 😟

26.) 13 Nov 2017 11:40:41
I don't think O'Neill is the answer, but people talking about the mans religion or background should take a long hard look at themselves.

I thought we were over this stuff, seriously?

Anybody with that mindset; you should know that you are a dying breed.

27.) 13 Nov 2017 13:15:26
MOH is not the man for the job he is a national boss and that is completely different to the rangers job

28.) 13 Nov 2017 17:12:10
highland bear- you spelled position wrong and poisson is french for fish, just styab letting you know he is highly intellectual

29.) 13 Nov 2017 17:16:16
managing NI is a job with no pressure compared to the pressures of managing rangers o’neill is another risky gamble as is arteta viera great players but done nothing as a manager we have too realistic options one is big eck who would cost nothing or mcinnes which reports say would cost 800k the boards statement about waiting on applications is embarassing if people are having to apply to manage a football club then they can't be very gd

30.) 13 Nov 2017 18:06:34
Aye calm down Rambo. He never said he hated catholics just has an opinion and like everyone else is entitled too. Just like you slating the orange order/ flute bands is your opinion but is some people’s beliefs. And kaymer? Try and say piss more in the one post. You do know the UVF were a regiment in the great war? Obviously not. I think Neil Lennon is a great manager and has an eye for talent but would he ever be a rangers manager? Probably not. When did society become so sensitive. Something tells me you might have had a lot to do with the arguments on the building sites Gary.

31.) 13 Nov 2017 18:13:45
after reading the above Your opinions on catholic managers at ibrox is quite split . The majority I believe would not care if he is catholic protestant Jew or Muslim if he can get a winning team and over take Celtic. A small section will always let you down same as we have at celtic park .

32.) 14 Nov 2017 01:52:16
Sorry but most of your support are fnarrow minded get BK soon please Scotland need our co points for Europe hh

33.) 14 Nov 2017 14:53:57
"just styab letting you know he is highly intellectual"
Well spotted, trueblue.

I see Forrest have sacked warburton after nine months.

Bluebole

1.) 31 Dec 2017 12:44:47
Yea and the whole back room team! McParland also goes! Lol

2.) 31 Dec 2017 13:05:15
Warburton blooded plenty of young players, and gave them a good run in the side - something that Forest fans love, but there were often question marks about whether he was playing many of them in the right position. The style of play, which fizzed at times earlier in the season, looked aimless in home defeats to Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday

That's a snippet from the BBC report does the " playing many of them in the right position " ring a bell?

3.) 31 Dec 2017 14:00:14
Always felt Warburton managed like he was playing Football Manager on the pc. Big Davie weir shows being a good defender doesn't mean you'll be a good coach

4.) 31 Dec 2017 16:36:17
I wish M Worburton all the best he got us out that hole of a championship

5.) 31 Dec 2017 17:42:15
Why would anybody wish badly on Mark Warbarton ? Some of the football we played under him was great on the eye. Give the guy a break. I think (not a fact ) that if he had the money Pedro had then he would have made some good signings this summer

6.) 31 Dec 2017 17:55:55
Mark Warburton states he has not been sacked. Says he still has a job to do and looks forward to Leeds in the next game . "we will learn from this and move on and do try and do plan A better", lol.
He'd be a good youth coach showing kids the right way to play, at any decent level he hasn't got a clue and won't adapt or change his football philosophy. His refusal to change will continue to be his downfall.

7.) 01 Jan 2018 11:51:59
Not only has Warburton been sacked but Weir and McParland have went with him. The three amigos are no more at Forest.

Mcinnies tipped to take over from pulis
(BBC news)

Bluebole

1.) 21 Nov 2017 09:35:17
Good as he's not the man for us

2.) 21 Nov 2017 10:12:42
There is no man for us, he's retired now.

3.) 21 Nov 2017 10:35:26
Agreed Fod, if only Watty was up for it one more time!

4.) 21 Nov 2017 11:30:19
Big Sam will take WBA job on and keep them up then leave with healthy cheque.

01 Jun 2017 20:23:50
Quick question. What happens if and when Craig whyte is found guilty. Are we due any composition?
Players leaving for free due to uncertainty of there future.
Years missed out on Europe.
Plus if this had never happened we would not have had the dodgy deal with cashley.

Bluebole

1.) 01 Jun 2017 21:11:54
Just a couple of questions in relation to your post:-

(1) I assume you mean COMPENSATION?

(2) From who exactly?

(3) Are you for real?

2.) 02 Jun 2017 08:10:47
If there was to be any compensation it would be payable by Whyte and there is no way he is coughing up any dosh. And also it wouldn't be due to us it would be due to the Old Co which is currently still being run by BDO.

Why would Rodgers go to West Ham.? He's flying up here he won't go anywhere until he starts failing in Scotland. Anyway our concern is getting the right man in place to beat him. And it'll be all the sweeter while he's still the golden boy.
