Strong rumour this morning the retail deal has been terminated🤞

Bigcol1872

1.) 09 May 2017 09:26:17
my uncle works in london through investments and he said that there is rumours of the deal being terminated as well

is there a possibility due to newcastle being promoted?

conflict of intrests possibility.

2.) 09 May 2017 09:50:21
The deal was struck when Newcastle were in the premiership so it can't be a conflict of interest

3.) 09 May 2017 09:56:57
I hope that this is true. I want to be able to wear my teams jersey and pay for it knowing that the money will go to rangers rather than fat one.

4.) 09 May 2017 09:57:45
Hope there is some truth in this, what a boost that would be 🤞🏻

5.) 09 May 2017 10:13:32
The court case has nothing to do with Newcastle and Ashley. Green as a director didn't do what was in the best interests of Rangers football club or any shareholder, the board are hoping to have the contracts ripped up due to this. Which is seems could be happening.

6.) 09 May 2017 10:47:40
I think common sense will prevail eventually. Ashley will tear up contract, and we will give Sports Direct and our Megastores exclusive rights to sell the jersey. And once the shirts start to fly off the shelves, we get our proper share and SD although only getting a small percentage still make a tidy sum. win win.

7.) 09 May 2017 11:57:14
If the retail deal gets torn up, why in gods name would we give sports direct the rights to sell our kit? It would be two fingers up to the fat man and we would saunter off into the sunset with our retail in our back pocket.

8.) 09 May 2017 12:09:23
The deal was struck when Newcastle were in the premiership yes, but we were in the lower leagues and not top flight in Scotland. now rangers are in the top flight and also Newcastle's promotion back to the EPL, it is a conflict of interest.

you can't have anything to do with two top flight clubs in the U.K. Meaning sports direct have to terminate our contract or Newcastle's and Mike Ashley will not terminate Newcastle contract so it only makes sense to terminate ours so we could be well rid of sports direct, about time too.

Also my sources tell me that rangers have major investment coming from the Middle East can't say more than that at the moment unfortunately it's a work in progress at the moment hopefully it will happen

9.) 09 May 2017 12:37:55
Southsideger, the retail deal is between a sports manufacturer and rangers .
It has absolutely nothing to do with Newcastle the football club .

If you had said Ashley's shares in both clubs could be a conflict of interests then your point may have been credible

The contract only allows sports direct to exclusively sell merchandise .

10.) 09 May 2017 12:48:41
I don't think that's correct southsideger. Doesn't the conflict of interest arise when both team would be entering the same competition? So next season if Newcastle qualify for europa league and we do. One of us wouldn't be able to compete as long as Ashley has a vested interest in both clubs

11.) 09 May 2017 13:17:32
From what I believe it's the court case between chuckles and rfc. It's an unopposed motion so chuckles has basically conceded. This case rangers brought to court regarding the naming rights of stadium. In that agreement was the 7 year notice period. i'm not a lawyer but I would think with Rangers winning the case those contract and or notice period would be terminated. If someone in law could confirm or deny this that would be great👍

12.) 09 May 2017 13:30:32
Well Coldo, it may be the fact that SD love it or hate it, is by far and away the biggest sports retailer in the UK, that we'd give it to them. They"d sell a pile at £30 a pop, whilst you would have them sitting in Greaves or JD Sports at £50-60.selling none.

13.) 09 May 2017 14:09:22
Ashley is a shareholder in both clubs and not a director in either I think, therefor no conflict.

14.) 09 May 2017 14:22:19
You can't have a controlling interest in two clubs in the uk if they might meet in the same tournament. Ashley doesn't have a controlling interest in rangers anymore.

15.) 09 May 2017 18:39:25
No self respecting rangers fan would ever set foot in SD regardless if the retail deal is torn up or not.

16.) 09 May 2017 19:22:28
Well said coldo.

17.) 09 May 2017 21:19:11
fatman never had a controlling interest, he has same shares as he always had

18.) 09 May 2017 22:09:45
Very well said coldo. I guarantee just as many rangers strips would be sold without using sd. All our fans will be going crazy for them once contract is terminated

Spoke to a first team Player yesterday and the rumour going around auchenhowie is Pardew.

Bigcol1872

1.) 21 Feb 2017 17:25:36
No you didn't

2.) 21 Feb 2017 17:48:18
So are you stalking me and following me about?

3.) 21 Feb 2017 18:08:42
Not that I need to explain but my job, and other fellow fan colleagues, allow us to see this player on a regular basis. Like any normal fan I asked him if he knew anything. That was his reply. and I stress he used the word rumour. Now as this is a rumour site I thought I'd share. Ps the next time he gives me a complimentary ticket I'll post on site🤗

4.) 21 Feb 2017 18:36:03
Put that in yir pipe papasmurf

5.) 21 Feb 2017 19:32:47
If true i wonder if this could signal a comprimise being reached with ashley and see him becoming more involved given his relationship with pardew.

6.) 21 Feb 2017 19:40:24
I thought that's why he left Newcastle. couldn't get on with him. No chance King will kiss and make up with lard arse.

7.) 21 Feb 2017 22:43:33
Pardew was working with Newcastle for free at one point as Ashley paid off all of Pardews gambling debts. Not sure if they had a fall out afterwards or not though

8.) 22 Feb 2017 11:40:43
That was definitely the rumour in the North East

9.) 23 Feb 2017 06:02:09
More chance of Alan Partridge

10.) 22 Feb 2017 15:36:35
bigcol not saying your lying but can u say who and why they would be telling a supporter this information.

11.) 23 feb 2017 10:37:07
where did u hear that guff weedan.
pardew is not the answer in my opinion and we need a manager that knows this league as it is not as it was that's why i'd get mcinnes in

Think it's time to stop accepting away tickets. More damage caused by some of our knuckle dragging fans. They will not be happy until we are docked points. I know it's not everyone and it's the good ones who suffer but enough is enough.

Bigcol1872

1.) 12 Apr 2017 21:02:10
Think the club need to come out with a statement to these persons along the lines of don't do it as you're damaging the club and its the club who has to waste money paying the bill.

23 Jul 2015 18:08:18
Even if I go home tonight and my missus is standing in sussies beggin me to follow her up the stairs I don't think It would top hearing the newz scott allen has told hibs he wants to come to us!! Come on home scotty boy.so gardner 1965.get it roon ye!

Bigcol1872

{Ed039's Note - It would be a good signing mate but I think I speak for all of us when I say no way would it stop us following your missus up the stairs wi her sussies on mate :-)

1.) 23 Jul 2015 18:23:28
Form a que @ Bigcols house lol

2.) 23 Jul 2015 18:24:54
Brilliant retort Ed!
Nearly choked on me after eights!
Couldn't agree more Bigcol, great news and word of warning, if the wife/gf says up the stair big man, then you RUN up those stairs!

3.) 23 Jul 2015 18:29:22
Bloody hell he is just yet another young player who didn't make it down south and now looks to make a bigger wage with us. As for the story's going the rounds that he told Hibs he wants out? do we wish this kind of thing at our club? No loyalty to anything other than the money.

{Ed039's Note - I dont agree with the loyalty thing, the boy is a Rangers fan and he would have signed last season if McCoist had the sense to come knocking, but he decided instead to offer Kyle Hutton a one year contract!)

4.) 23 Jul 2015 18:32:10
Haha ed you havnt seen my wife

{Ed039's Note - Trust me mate it wouldnt make a difference)

5.) 23 Jul 2015 18:46:34
Exactly right Ed. The only reason he isn't at Ibrox is because of McCoist. Hutton or Allan? Hmmm. now let me see.

6.) 23 Jul 2015 18:54:56
Spot on Ed

7.) 23 Jul 2015 18:58:00
he would be like double signing I posted earlier they would make 2 bids cause diruption at hibs and give us another part of the jigsaw

8.) 23 Jul 2015 19:40:14
Whit jigsaw? We sign him or we don't.

9.) 23 Jul 2015 21:02:39
gkk what is ajigsaw it consits of parts that u put together to make a picture warburton is signing players who are all part of the jigsaw he is putting together to make a team its not maculloch reincarnated

10.) 24 Jul 2015 11:27:55
Quite right ED you don't look at the mantle-piece when you are poking the fire et all. And Bigcol wondered why we wanted his dug to pick the Gers team?

19 Jan 2015 09:05:54
I have two thoughts this morning regarding Rangers. I sometimes wonder if it would be better for everyone if we just padlocked the doors shut. the assualts on the two people in Edminston house, the assault on the hearts fan and the sectarian singing broadcast all over Britain tells me my club will never drag ourselves into a new dawn. we have some of the most horrible fans in the world. then I read David mccarthys piece in the record this morning on why those halfwits cannot sell ibrox to ashley. please read this article. it is up to the decent fans to rid our club of cretins both in the board room and in the stands.

Bigcol1872

1.) 19 Jan 2015 10:05:14
If the song you are referring to is "the cry was no surrender" and that's the one I heard on the news, I'm sure it was sung more in defiance to the board than any sectarian meaning and besides when the sectarian laws came in I believe that was one of the few songs left that we were allowed to sing. As for the attacks bang out of order!
r. f

2.) Billy boys was sang by the usual personic so called fan groups who have watched green street far too many times

3.) Bigcol. I've just read the article on line, and it's sent shivers down me, it certainly brings it all home mate, I know your dad was involved at Ibrox that day, so thinking of you. Years ago someone ones said to me that if Rangers fans cannot find anyone else to fight, then they just fight amongst themselves, and some stuff I've witnessed over the years then they were right in what they said. As you know I detest Ashley and all he stands for, and I want him nowhere near Ibrox but I think we are just pissing in the wind in our fight against him, I would love it if every true Rangers fan. protested peacefully while still letting the rats know that we will never surrender to them, I've even heard of some fans planning to chain themselves to the blue gates, to get worldwide media attention, personally I think they're mad but if it works then good luck to them.

4.) CeeXXX. And the cretins even think it's a good idea to film the singing and upload it on to YouTube.

As for the DR article, it should be read by every Rangers fan.

5.) I can never understand the persons who post it on you tube. they might as well walk around with a big Grass sign around their necks.

6.) 19 Jan 2015 14:01:33
@5 You're right mate that's how moronic these young guys are.Its their mates that are posting it on you tube as some kind of badge a honour, and at the same time sticking each other in.Clever boys!

7.) Thanks royalblue. I was fortunate my dad made it although quite badly injured. he told me he was asked to attend a meeting at ibrox in 1973 I think as a representative of supporters along with willie Waddell and a few other of the Rangers hierarchy. it was at that meeting he was showed plans of the stadium as it is today and the words spoken fro Mr Waddell were this stadium is being built in memory of the 66 and it will never happen again. i'm sure all relatives of the victims will be distraught at the thought of that fat w@$k ashley getting his hands on it.
R. f. It was the billy boys once again being sung. what is it going to take for these people to get the message.

8.) 19 Jan 2015 16:43:07
Bigcol the people who sing songs like that should be nowhere near a football match never mind a protest as for posting. it on you tube well other posters say it all.

I've just been reading the reports from the agm. seemingly somers played a blinder by really pissin off the fans and treating them with contempt by saying it's their. our. fault they are borrowing money. to get these guys out a total boycott is headed. not a half hearted attempt. they also said McDowell could get the job on a permanent basis. ffs!!

Bigcol1872

1.) Somers quoted as saying in regard to onerous contracts: "with a number of contracts we've just said 'sod you, we will see you in court'. Can I say that?"

Looking at that farce this morning with that gazebo and the reception from shareholders and with information like that from Somers coming out does anybody believe that institutional investors are going to be interested in the forthcoming share issue or will they think they should avoid it like the plague?

2.) Seen the set up of the stage in relation to where the shareholders are being seated. far enough not to be heard or hear, or far enough away for the boards own safety!!

3.) I said previously the AGM will leave us with f all answers regarding the chaotic shambles we have became. Many say treating fans with contempt & insinuating the fans are as much to blame by not going, Well merry Xmas all & goodbye rangers.

4.) Bigcol. I said on here yesterday km was getting the role to see how he got on, this lot don't have the money to replace ally, plus if we went on to win the league with McDowell in charge we wouldn't need a new manager. (stop laughing at the back ).

20 Dec 2014 09:31:29
Dear fellow posters, it's been a tough year for us. we have probably the worst ever team to wear the famous Jersey and we have the worst ever manager. coupled to that we have a board who know no shame. however as Christmas approaches its time to now focus on family and friends as in my opinion is the greatest time of year. so to my fellow bears on here. we have laughed and argued but all said and done I would just like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and hope we all have a happy 2015. colin.

Seemingly he is not contesting the court case regarding retail deal and stadium naming rights. Not acting in the best interest of shareholders. Hopefully resulting in retail deal getting ripped up!

Before Warburton took over I thought we missed the boat not getting him in then. I still think he is a very good coach but he seems to have stalled a wee bit just now. I think everyone's choice would be FDB but let's get realistic, that's not happening. So we are left with names like McInnes, Mcleish, Wright and Davies. My choice would be Monk, but could we afford him? If we don't get a decent manager then the club are almost accepting being in celtic shadow for years to come.

Cee I'm 6ft 4 and I could command an area. i'm trying to give him the benefit of doubt and would assume he was nervous, but all he did was lump it up the park. He could prove me wrong but I doubt it. He looks unsure on the ball whereas beer man looks very comfortable on it. that's my opinion . so we will wait and see.

Bates gives me the fear. I don't see anything in him that would say he is going to be a class defender. A good squad player, maybe, but we really have to get a hell of a lot better than him. Beerman on the other hand looks good. Very comfortable on the ball and has loads of pace. Definatley one for the future. I agree Garner is a liability. His antics on Sunday were embarrassing coupled along with his stupidity flying into tackles. Waghorn I think just needs a few goals to settle him. I would definitely keep him but I agree that Dodoo should get a run in the team. We look a more solid team without McKay and I would certainly keep him on the bench against Celtic.
