So Dave King might be forced to offer 20p per share when the shares could be sold today for 32p. What a waste of time and money as no one in their right mind will accept the 20p offer.

1.) 12 Oct 2017 19:08:16
NOt sure how we can deduce a market value of the shares if the shares as we are currently not on an exchange. now ashley gone get the share issue underwritten by some big investors and the fans group then happy days!

2.) 12 Oct 2017 21:15:32
I think that you'll find that the shares are traded on a matched bargain basis and that any sales today were or would have been at 32p

3.) 13 Oct 2017 06:30:55
He can't afford to offer it because he has no money, its all in his wifes name. Plus its not real money he has its in trust funds. don't know what this means but it don't look good.

4.) 13 Oct 2017 07:35:44
Yawn yawn all doom and gloom again fod!

5.) 13 Oct 2017 08:15:10
Fod!
No-one with a cash and a brain has it sitting in a current account.
Having it invested if trusts or funds means it's working to make you more instead of the abysmal interest rates offered at present.
If I had the cash I'd be invested in Gilt, Bonds, Funds and the like.
All he would have to do is sell some of the holdings in any of these to realise cash. You can be invested in these without having REAL MONEY.
How can you suggest something doesn't look good if you ADMITTEDLY have no idea what you are talking about?

6.) 13 Oct 2017 09:29:23
DK talked a lot of money to get what he wanted, and succeeded. How much of his own money has he actually parted with to help the club?
Stated he had £30 million then the rhetoric changed to we need £30 million.
He is on record as being called a glib and shameless liar in a court of law and I don't see him challenging that.
I never agreed with him taking over and everything which has happened since has supported my feelings.
Fed up seeing the senior people at the club from CEO to Manager continually make it look like a joke.

7.) 13 Oct 2017 09:31:09
Fodtheprod can you explain why you don't think it looks good? So he has his money in a trust fund to benefit his family does it not make sense it's all about your money working for you while you relax as for the share offer he may have to make an offer of 20p all shares he doesn't already control now shares are sitting at 32p so who in their right mind will accept that I have shares and will never sell no matter what I'm offered so this is just how business works in this case for me it's crazy as no one or very few if any will accept the offer but it costs money to make the offer which is a waste anyway why don't you at least once try and post something positive I can see you sitting in a darkened room keyboard at the ready hoping we drop points tonight get behind the manager and the team we are only eight games into a new season judge at the end of the season

8.) 13 Oct 2017 10:24:42
I'm confused. Is King still going to spend £30 on us to stop ten in a row as he promised?

9.) 13 Oct 2017 10:37:46
I don’t know naz why don’t you ask him?

10.) 13 Oct 2017 12:00:00
Use talk like he hasn’t invested any money in the squad and club he spent close to 10 m this summer alone on players what has he spent on previous transfer windows and even with free transfers u still have to pay signing fee lawyers agents etc King has us in a better place than we were with Ashley, we r bringing more revenue into the club with new reatail contract don’t get me wrong it would be great to have a tycoon with billions enabling us to sign Ronaldo but until then let’s not knock King because of the media

11.) 13 Oct 2017 12:51:35
blue: "All he would have to do is sell some of the holdings in any of these to realise cash. "
King's counsel paints a different picture.
"Lord Davidson of Glen Clova QC, counsel for Mr King. asked the court not to make an order, since any order would be futile as Mr King did not personally have access to the £11m-£12m required to underwrite the offer, as his assets were tied up in a family trust. "

12.) 13 Oct 2017 22:17:11
its all a game guys, why have him offer 20p when noone will sell. the people holding shares won't sell. for him to even make such an offer will cost 1.5m so why waste that on a futile cause. woul u want to throw away 1.5m. for those who dontvwant him, would you still want previous board come on guys wake up

13.) 13 Oct 2017 22:53:33
He has money Fod, I'm not saying he's going to pile anything into the club but he could spend £11m tomorrow if he had to, to acquire these shares, the point is that it is pointless wasting money on an offer which by in large will be rejected due to the poor value on offer per share.

I don't know what the future holds for King but I do believe he fronted up when we needed him most and saved our club from the parasites that had infected it, and for that I will always be thankful to him. There are not many businessmen about that have outmanoeuvred Mike Ashley (who had the board at the time by the baws) quite as impressively!

I also believe that Dave King would willingly step aside or take a back seat willingly if someone came into the picture investment wise that could make a difference whilst safeguarding our future!

14.) 14 Oct 2017 00:46:20
my god if fod isn't moaning at pedro he is having a pop at king even though he admits to knowing nothing a statement that confirmed what the rst of us thought anyways.

since king has come in he has stabalised the club as much as he can and has just got rid of the cancer that is the fat rat give the man time to make the rest of his promises come good.

as far as i can tell he has our best intrests at heart.

all the haters don't have anyone else in mind that has the money and is willing to spend it on us so why don't u lot shut up and support the great job the board are doing.

if we spent 30 mill on p-layers in one season some would be happy but a lot would think isn't this why we went up shits creek before?

15.) 14 Oct 2017 00:57:06
so to all the king haters out there who is better equipped to take us forward and would they be interested in spending their money on us?

naw i didn't think u lot had an answer!

16.) 14 Oct 2017 01:05:52
@Naz: that's about right £30, because that's as much as he has in his pockets and that's as the Gers are going to get

17.) 14 Oct 2017 02:49:27
It's simple guys, business laws state as he worked with the 3 bears to buy more than 30% of the shares and there's proof they did act together, then he must make an offer under the rules but he's ignored the rules . So now he's at court, again, for doing what he likes without caring for proper business procedures. This will hurt Rangers a lot more than most of you are believing . It's not just "doom and gloom " as one ostrich stated .

18.) 15 Oct 2017 09:26:03
Will it jhonbhoy aye?

19.) 16 Oct 2017 08:53:56

All this talk about Rangers being snubbed is a load of garbage. McInnes was never offered the job. He declined to meet with Rangers. I personally think that he knew that he wasn't up to the pressure of the job and respect him for that.

He is in his comfort zone at Aberdeen where winning a cup every 10 years or so and coming 2nd or 3rd in the league is considered a success.

My immediate reaction to the statement that he was staying at Aberdeen was the same as our Boards. By declining to meet Rangers, he proved that he was not the right man for the job.

I don't think that Murty is the long term solution but he will do as good a job as McInnes would have in the short term.

With regards to signings in January, is that not the responsibility of our Director of Football?

We definitely dodged a bullet as DM has proven by his action that he does not have the temperament to take our team forward.

I think that Eula is quite right to investigate the abhorrent throwing of paper on to the pitch. It was extremely dangerous. I mean have you ever had a paper cut, they are very sore.

The winner of the Scottish Cup Final will enter the Europa League at the second qualifying round. Legs to be played 14 and 21 July. The runners up and the third placed in the Premiership will enter in the first qualifying round. I really hope that we win the cup.

1.) 18 Apr 2016 13:48:34
Yes mate it would be great to get euro football 1st year back into premier league big incentive for the players to beat hibs another medal and 1st chance of euro football in there careers.

2.) 18 Apr 2016 14:02:53
Definately want 2nd round give some of the new players time to bed in, great now being able to sell that to players coming in now though, definately have to bulk up the squad though just with slight rotation to make sure we can walk before running and it doesn't end up too much, european nights are back dam ill take that any day of the week, amazing achievements by all people involved and i must say after 4 years of craziness its seems the best support in the world might get what we deserve after yesterday its onwards and upwards.

3.) 18 Apr 2016 14:09:55
There not back yet smokey still 1 game to go and it won't be easy it's a cup final and hibs do have a few good players take nothing for granted.

4.) 18 Apr 2016 14:23:16
Im trying not to mate and i know hibs will be up for it but it seems our players can handle the big occasion after watching part of the other semi, if our team plays the way it has then it should be a no brainer take nothing away from the fact that ill be wearing a nappy theough the final mate though makes a difference from about 4 yesterday.

5.) 18 Apr 2016 14:27:17
Also misread the comment i thought runners up ie cup losers dam this man flu is killin me, yeah ill take it back the now.

We've heard from some managers boasting about their team winning trebles this year but the only team who can still win 3 trophies is Rangers. Admittedly one of those is the Challenge Cup but it is still a trophy. I haven't heard or read a thing from MW or DW boasting about the possibility of their team picking up a treble. Intelligence and class are attributes which are hard to beat with ignorance and crassness.

Bigbaloobear

1.) 14 Mar 2016 10:05:04
So Andy Halliday (evening times) and Kenny miller (daily mail ) were being ignorant and crass, when they recently gave interview's to these paper's saying rangers were on there way for the treble? Or are you saying they don't have intelligence or any class? If you need any windows fixing in you glass house, I know a couple of glazer's, 😉.

2.) 14 Mar 2016 10:47:39
I think Baloo said MANAGERS not players who are known to be a bit excitable at times and not really representative of the way a club is going.

The only time I can recall when a crass player was supported by a crass manager was MON and Lucky Lennon as in lucky to get a job and keep it.

3.) 14 Mar 2016 10:47:41
You have confused me with your pressing of the disagree button, are you saying these articles don't exist? But I have even given you the papers concerned, both articles are easily accessible on line 😁.

4.) 14 Mar 2016 11:09:04
Oh so it's ok if your players are lacking in class and intelligence, glad we cleared that up, as a matter of fact I don't disagree about the players involved.

5.) 14 Mar 2016 11:56:35
Also interview's and player's. Not good!

6.) 14 Mar 2016 13:52:31
I thought the articles were decent enough seeker .

7.) 14 Mar 2016 14:22:07
Class and intelligence like McGregor and Forrester of Celtic? . mmmmmmmmmmmm.

8.) 14 Mar 2016 14:24:25
Said before and will say again, celtic fans shouting there mouths off on here for the simple reason is they know, that we know, that they are there for the taking. Makes me laugh to be honest.

9.) 14 Mar 2016 17:06:54
Precious yae like they wee Emoji's daint yae, We will beat yeez oan April pal 😁.

10.) 14 Mar 2016 20:09:02
Snicker bear (keep up with the times ) who does Forrester play for? Coldo yes you have seen right through me, the reason I come on to a banter site for a bit of banter is because I'm shaking in my boots about rangers winning the semi final, and I somehow think coming on here for the banter will stop it happening. Your rational knows no beginning.

11.) 15 Mar 2016 09:11:51
Precious that could be the case or it could be that for years now the unwashables have been more than obsessed with anything to do with Rangers.

12 Mar 2016 09:43:07
Ronnie Delia says that he has better players at his disposal than Mark Warburton and I probably agree. Therefore, if Celtic do not beat Rangers whose fault is it, it must be the man who picks the team and organises the tactics ie Ronnie himself. Talk about a turkey voting for Christmas.

The whole Celtic game is just a distraction from what will be a great season for the Rangers regardless of the score at Hampden.

I personally can't wait to see which players are brought in during the summer.

It will be nice to wave to Dundee United on our way passed them and hopefully, the Staggies can win tomorrow.

1.) 12 Mar 2016 13:30:42
Lovely to see the feeder team losing again last night. Running out of games Thompson. Enjoy the lower leagues, we did. Maybe see you in the cups. Promise to give you a right good tonking if we do.

2.) 12 Mar 2016 15:55:53
Bigbaloobear - do you think you have better players than Hibs, Falkirk, St Johnstone etc? I guess Warburton should go?

3.) 12 Mar 2016 16:46:40
Patient. WTF has that statement to do with anything? We are umpteen points ahead of both Falkirk and Hibs and we've just signed St J's best player. You go figure.

4.) 12 Mar 2016 16:48:16
The poetic.

At no time has Warburton had the arrogance or disrespect to state that Rangers have better players than any other team. The man is class and does not instigate disrespectful diatribes. So your logic escapes me.

5.) 12 Mar 2016 16:52:56
The statement has plenty to do with Bigbaloobear's original post, which is why I addressed it to him.

Read it back. Once. Twice. However many times it takes you.

You're welcome.

6.) 12 Mar 2016 16:57:12
Bigbaloobear, I'll take your word for it that Warburton has never said anything about his team's superior quality. But, by your rationale, your entire point about a stronger team being defeated -- and it being the managers fault -- only applies if the manager admits he has better players. Interesting.

7.) 12 Mar 2016 18:33:57
No it only applies if the manager claims that he has better players.

8.) 12 Mar 2016 18:58:31
Which is what I said.

Bluepete, I’m 100% in agreement with you. Rangers fans are indebted to Dave King and his board. We should be looking at the positives and not focusing on the mistakes that the Board have made. They are Ranger’s fans and putting their money where their their mouths are.

Graeme Murty obviously knows football. He fits in well at Ibrox and appears to have the respect of the players. He speaks well in interview and obviously is well thought of by the board. He is well aware of the talent in our younger sides and seems to trust youth. I would be very happy if he was our next manager. Although he doesn’t have vast experience as a manager neither did Walter when he took over.
