A rangers man on the staff. Necessary? I really don't think so.

Far more important that Clement has people around him who share his vision and that he's comfortable working with. However if one of them had spl experience at least and ideally club allegiance it'd be a bonus but not a necessity.

The usual suspects will be flirting with him in the press this coming week. I like Neil mccann and I think Kenny Miller has substance if not eloquence in his opinions.

I hope Kevin Thompson isn't considered as talks complete nonsense and is truly as boring a commentator as he was terrible a footballer. I cannot imagine anyone being inspired by that.

I think he will bring in his own guys and I reckon the board have made a great appointment this time. Albeit it couldn't have been worse than last time.

Paul86… nothing! I’m only listing these guys as the Scottish coach rhetoric always becomes a debate topic with new bosses. I just reckon miller could offer something, particularly to our strikers. However Roy Mackay was somewhat more qualified and the strikers regressed under him. So who knows.

Very much agree, absolutely hate listening to Thomson's drivel during games. Incidentally, I don't think McCann is the tactical genius that he seems to think he is. Miller, a no from me also. Would like to see Davis involved though.

It's one thing to say you would prefer a different approach but no need for a charachter assassination. There is no need for a 'rangers man' I'm just suggesting that it often seems to add something to a club if there is someone local, with passion and experience of the club, that is all. I will give the new manager my full support irrespective and am fully aware that he knows more about football that i ever will. I agree with previous comments regarding scottish players and I go back to Charlie Adam who was given dogs abuse by many but managed to get to Liverpool. And as for the negative feelings towards Neil McCann mentioned by some this week, after 2nd May 1999 the man could have relations with my granny and wipe himself on the curtains and i would still love him.
