when we have the right mentality and players willing to fight and play we have shown we can win the big games the players under Gerrard and GVB showed they could play and compete at that level after the final I don't know if players thought by doing so well they would have had big moves whether that didn't materialise or rangers rejected offers those certain. Players downed tools ran their contracts down and left we were No better off financially then than we are now so there goes that argument that we can't compete on the field because of the financial gap in Europe.

It's down to Scouting and making the right transfer signings it's this department we keep fallen short on past few years with players signing and just not competing or settling or living up to their hype

We have a rookie manager who again is getting to ply and learn his trade at a club such as ours always will raise questions on everything he does even a tried and tested manager would be asked questions?

It remains to be seen if Beale is the right man/ fit and it remains whether his signings are the right ones to take us forward
If they fail god knows where we go and who else would want to come in and work with the current group if it's failing.

I personally don't think our current squad is any where near as good as the squad 2 years ago, sorry to be negative, but, in my opinion we've gone backwards.
