Question, with a sell on clause do we get the agreed percentage (say 10%) of the total transfer or 10% of the amount of the transfer over and above what the team paid for him? Surely a team signing a player wouldn’t sell him for less a year later AND have to pay the old club 10 or 20% of that as well?

We get 10% of the bassey fee as being reported in the media. Money we get for bassey and the tillman deal pretty much covers lammers transfer fee. Great news.

Sold to Brighton for £17m no profit. no money for us.

The 4th official are saying it’s 10% of the transfer fee for Bassey rather than 10% of the profit. If that’s true then fair play to Ross Wilson.

Boy blue we get 10% of any profit made from the sale. They paid 18.7m selling for approx 15m so no profit to get 10% of.

Clauses in contracts never mention percentage profit just add on fee òf money paid because profit or loss out gers hands.
