Not heard anything or that but I've been looking at strikers that we could bring in. Chuba akpom has had a great season at Middlesbrough. Obviously if they go up then there's a good chance he stays at them but he's about to enter his last year of his contract and might be a good shout if Middlesbrough don't go up through the play off.

Sorry to say but if someone is having a good season in the championship and playing for one of the higher up clubs then we have no chance of signing them.

Name that was mentioned to me a few months ago was the Coventry cf but he was valued at about 20m last summer but he's out of contact in 2024,still pay a fair bit for him now.

Coventry cf is Gyokeres scored over 20 goals in the championship and can play on either wing, Beale is said to be interested in him but don't no his fee probably over 5m and only 24.

Middlesbrough had a clause to extend for another season which they took in January. I think honestly given he's going into his last year we could get him for around 5/ 6 million especially if the allure of European football catches his eye but again he'll probably end up at a premier league club with money.

We will need to wait and see what players we bring in.
I hope we have scouts scouring Europe and further afield for talent, hopefully we can unearth a gem.
Not easy I know, don’t know if others agree but trying to do our buying in the Championship or league one is very difficult as the players there are targeted very early and the clubs want to cash in big on any asset.
Would think Championship players are on decent salaries also, so only realistic if they are out of contract.
We used to have a scouting network in France, where we brought in some good signings and granted some not so good.
Nothing against the boy Whitaker who can’t get much first team football or the Kieran Dowells of this world, we are probably signing them in the Hope again that they develop into better players, I don’t believe that’s going to be enough next year.
