William pacho CB from Antwerp we where scouting signed for Frankfurt for 9m euro.

We just can't compete with they prices unless we find these players from South America etc before others.

What am looking at is royal Antwerp are finding these players and moving them on for big money.

Same as braga for example some French teams also there finding gems from South American markets etc and maybe not all are winners they certainly seem to be doing a lot better than us in finding talent ats got a good sell on ability but also could make the team competitive.

This summer will be cheap English championship players an bosmans… the likes of olaru we see links have absolutely no chance in my opinion.

We only hear about the out and out successes really, I wonder if the Royal Antwerp Rumours site or the Braga Rumours site is full of their fans slating the guys that they spent a few million on and haven't worked out or get injured.

We will never have a player trading model to rival the Portuguese! To think we ever will is crazy.

I'm sure Ed001 wrote something a while back regarding the Portuguese teams and how they can snap up the best young talent from S America, and other parts of the continent, due to them not having certain restrictions British teams have? I think that's what he said?

Also, these teams who have a very successful trading model have made hundreds of millions over the years so are able to invest, and grow, their network. We don't have that sort of money!

I think the reason we don't venture into south America market is because its difficult to get a visa for them unless the have played so many times for their country and usually the 1s who have played for their country are already playing in Europe. Again I think that's the case I could be way off.

BigBen and King: yes Portuguese and other European nations have a more relaxed view on visas and work permits than we do in the UK, look at shakthar as an example, at one point a few years ago half their squad was Brazilian, mostly uncapped senior players, it's night and day unfortunately.
