I bet you can roughly assume the age of some of the posters on here just by going on the posts in last few days. The older lads amongst us understand that it's not a god given right to win trophy after trophy and finances dictate where we currently stand. The argument a few seasons ago was that our budget was far superior to every other team in Scotland bar Celtic and we should be doing better. Now having finished miles clear of the rest and been in last 2 Cup finals, people still complain.

The reality is, they're budget dwarfs ours at present. That's not to say that we wave the white flag but you've got to be realistic. The depth of squad at their disposal is a huge factor on why they are grinding out result after result.

Our lack of depth is highlighted when we do suffer a rack of injuries. The points total in the league would be more than acceptable in most league seasons in the past. I still think you back your team, not blindly but with hope more than the entitlement some on here show.

Completely correct Del. ? In todays social media driven, instant gratification, everyone growing up being told that they’re fantastic and a winner, folk seem to think that it’s a god given right to be first.
Of course we all want to win, I grew up through the 9 in a row years where we did dominate and win everything yet I can see that unfortunately times have changed. The last ten years have taken a massive toll and unfortunately financially and in terms of business structure we are still behind them so it’s not really surprising that that translates on to the pitch as well, no mater how much we don’t want it to be the case. But it doesn’t mean we can’t still compete, the euro run last year and winning the league 2 years ago proves that. Unfortunately we bust a gut financially to make sure we did win that year and they also rested on their laurels that year which helped. But since then they have used their financial strength (built up over the last 15 years or so) to pull away again a bit and we just have to be clever with what money we do have to try and build a team to get in front again.
But we don’t just have ‘the right’ to be first and as fans we should support during the good times and the bad, not through our dummies out the pram when we only beat Kilmarnock 3-1 for example as I’ve seen happen from some fans.
I mean jeeso, imagine what it would be like to support St Mirren or Ross County if you think we have it bad.

2 trophies in the last 22 isn't enough on our wage budget. You can draw it anyway you like to make yourself feel better about the situation.

Was thinking the exact same thing myself Del. The amateur dramatics and faux outrage from some comes across as really childish behaviour.

Personally think the club is in good health, being professionally run by board and DoF. This is what will bring us success as a club which is what we all want as fans.

Agreed I honestly think you've just got to hold your hands up and admit your being outclassed at certain times by the better team on their day, yes there is a 9 point gap but it won't last forever, we as a team will improve if we can sort our injuries and individual form out and in beale I believe we can. That mob are on a high but once injuries and teams come plundering their best players then things will balance out as they always do.

Do yourself a favour Del, and go read Stevie Clifford's latest post on his Four Lads forum. Once you've done that, maybe, just maybe (won't hold my breath) you might not be so blinkered in what's right in front of you? Oh, just incase you didn't know, Stevie is a decent age. One of the "older lads"!

Stevie is a guy who is Rangers through and through. An intelligent, articulate guy who bleeds blue. If Stevie sees the issues that are so glaringly obvious (well, not for the blinkered), and with his insider knowledge, then there must be problems.

Only the blind, deniers, blinkered, and those who just refuse to accept the truth, will deny the mess we're in, and will argue until they're blue in the face (pardon the pun), that there's nothing to worry about, and all is rosy. Aye right!

Call me what you want! Accuse me of being a tim! Tell me I'm a "sunshine supporter"! Do your worse! Something stinks within the club we all love! Something is not right, and regardless of how many excuses some on here continously spout to deny, excuse, cover up, argue against the facts (cold hard facts), it's just not good enough for a team like ours! Where's your pride?!

You're right mate I have been watching rangers since the 70's I remember the early 80's where we won he haw and were really poor then came graham souness who woke the sleeping giant that is glasgow rangers. I know we don't have the the right to expect trophies every season. The younger fans we have now are very aggressive especially if we play poor. They think we should be winning everything and seem to berate they're own if they don't agree with them.

Our wage bill according to some sites is now bigger than celtics so we should certainly be winning more trophies than we have.

The fact is that Celtic have shown more urgency, fitness and clinical finishing than us, Gio should have been gone quicker, him and his back room team had us so unfit, hence the injuries. I would be surprised if Celtic's wage bill was less than ours, but TBH I have no idea if that's the case.

Lots on here called posters a Tim when we said Gio should've been out earlier. Back the manager who is handing Celtic another league title on a plate or your a Tim. And I'm the one that's meant to spout drivel.
