Don’t think it’ll really matter what we all think as if Gio was going to get sacked it would’ve been done by now. I missed the poll but I’d be Knutsen as well the timing is perfect with his domestic season finishing around now and the 3 weeks he’d have with the squad plus a few games before the January window. Think if we wait a couple months for him he’ll be unavailable as will the league.

I agree, my thoughts are that he’s the clear winner as well.
Im just kidding. Popular choice it seems when the day comes when we’re looking for a new manager.

Kjetil Knutsen? Has anyone even said this guy is remotely interested in being Rangers manager? Seems like a pipe dream to me.

Same as any of the others sweep. Gio still in a job so am guessing none of the above have been approached or asked about the job. Mcinnes is on the list and he's turned us down.

Paul, I wouldn't be surprised if some have been sounded out about becoming our manager, the board can't be happy the way things have gone this season, if they did fire Gio they'd want someone to replace him quickly, I think we've missed a great chance to get a new manager in during this break, it could have given him the chance to work with the players.

Sweep2, it was only a poll to gauge who our supporters might want if gio lost his job mate that's all! It's clear in the meantime our board are sticking with gio as our manager!

Feels a bit treacherous fans getting involved in a poll like this whilst there is a massive pile on to our current manager

How do our players and management team feel when reading the headlines ~ certainly not motivated or confident.

As for the list of managers, I guess that most fans would want to attract the best guy for the job within our prudent budget?

I may be missing something but I haven’t heard Knutson, Dyche or anyone else being linked to opportunities at big clubs across Europe and do not understand the clamour to bring them to Ibrox.

Ange was well proven although relatively unknown when Celtic brought him in and when the time is right (not now imo) we must be looking to bring in a manager with a proven and extensive CV working at a level no less than the very top of the SPL.

I was asking if anyone has any reason to think an Norwegian coach has any interest in being Rangers manager?

9.) 17 Nov 2022

So the majority want the coach who says that he has no interest in leaving where he is. Good move!

One poster said he would be very happy if Rangers moved for him sweep and he knows far better than any us on here.

Can’t see Knutsen as Rangers manager if he is remotely interested now or in the future.
Two Norwegian titles but his record in the Europa League is questionable.

Sweep unfortunately none of us are Norwegian coaches so difficult to answer, I guess it would depend on what club approached what manager. Asa suggested Knutsen would be interested. Rangers are certainly a much bigger club than Bodo so I don't see it as being unrealistic he would be interested in the job.

I like ASAuthors posts, and he rates this guy very highly, that's the reason I voted for Knutson. However, Gio is currently our Manager, and will get my support until the league is mathematically outwith our reach.

Am I happy with the current situation? No!

Do I want to see a marked improvement in playing style and management's ability to adjust to things so as to turn things around during a game? Definitely!
But that was a problem before GVB arrived, as well as being one now.

There is no point in dumping GVB at the moment.

The league is pretty much gone unless the other lot decide to implode, sadly it is theirs to lose at this moment in time.

The cups are both available and we need to try to get some silverware.
GVB has a record of success in that which even SG did not achieve.

We should just get behind manager and team and see where things are at the end of the season.

If GVB turns things around, great. This seems far from likely at the moment but it could happen. If not then those in charge have several months to seek out a better candidate. There is time for the board and Wilson to make a careful and hopefully more successful search for a new manager without putting us in further turmoil at this time.

Let's be careful and not end up being pushed into another knee-jerk reaction. SG's departure forced our hand the last time, but at the moment we don't need to jump and should avoid allowing the media and the more impulsive among us to call the shots. This is a time for calm clear thinking.

Onwards and upwards.

Yip Asathor said knutsen would take the rangers manager's job in a heartbeat ?No reason to doubt the guy whatsoever as he's norweigian himself and knows the scene ?.

How does he know he would take job in a heartbeat, is he his agent, family.

17 Nov 2022 15:18:39
Knutsen, really? Do we never learn? Gio was a one hit wonder with Feyenoord. Now a one trick pony with a Norwegian side? Get Gerrard back snd let him finish the job!

18.) 17 Nov 2022
17 nov 2022 18:40:55
i could virtually guarantee you at least 80% of people who voted for knutsen have no idea why, other than a game agaibst celtic and another guys sayso

he wouldn't be my top selection, because i, like most no nothing about him .

gios going to be her til end of season so he must be supported, but, he has to be firm with certain players who are dragging him down.

19.) 17 Nov 2022
17 Nov 2022 18:45:21
So because he knows more than any of us we don't question why a certain manager would want the Rangers job GVB? What's the point of this forum then? We would be as well just letting the sake 3 or 4 post without questioning anything they say.

20.) 17 Nov 2022

Sweep why wouldn’t he given the chance.

Doiger are you having a laugh? SG Walked out and didn’t want to finish the job tho what a job he done one trophy in how long?

You couldn’t guarantee that TT are you upset because only a small amount voted for Ferguson?

Pep Martingdale all day long for me. The Norweigan does not want to come to us.
