Uefa has confirmed national leagues will not be banned from European competition if they cancel their seasons and must decide for themselves how to determine final placings "based on sporting merit".
Straight from UEFA today.

Goodness, does that mean Celtic will be declared champions? Will the SPFL decide that sporting merit means that anything might have happened and void the season? I wonder? What a farce. And Hearts will be relegated, though of course they will pursue reorganisation to ensure they stay in the top flight. How pathetic this all seems when people are dying every day. To hell with the SPFL and to hell with football if this is what is so important in these desperate times.

Spot on DOIGER, if the timelines we are seeing for the end of the lockdown are accurate, then we won't have football before next Spring at the earliest, it is of course irrelevant what they decide to do as it will be meaningless in the medium to long term. Sorry to seem negative, but, I believe in being realistic.

John, I am reading that you have lost someone close to you, and, for that please accept my condolences my friend. I think John, that DOIGER is not really disagreeing with how you feel in any way, his last sentence on fact states exactly what you feel yourself, as do I, football is totally irrelevant in my book.

So Celtic will be awarded the championship but will not have won or be Champions. Big Asterisk added for the History Book. More important things to focus on.

John25. I think you need to differentiate between football banter and the dreadful coronavirus epidemic. I've posted serious stuff on here about the latter and only recently that my wife suffered a stroke four months ago which puts her in the highly vulnerable category. My lastest post was football banter. I am sorry if you have lost someone close to you, that is very sad, and I agree 100% that football palls into insignificance at this sad time. It is just that some form of banter helps to lift the gloom from time to time. Stay safe.
